This is actually an aftermarket barrel. The barrel is pretty much brand new, and maybe it just needed to get broken in to function properly. I never had any problems with glock's factory barrel so far...
I went to use a brand new barrel with a compsator and the spring weight recommended for the compsator had a ftf every time but also had a new magazine catch so switch to a oem magazine catch (the new one had a lot of play in it) took off the compsator and switched to oem spring weight and polished the feed ramp will see if it works
USConcealedCarry has a great article on the pros & cons of rifling. Can't post the URL but here is the title: Barrels and Bullets: Conventional Versus Polygonal Rifling Written by by USCCA Editor on April 1, 2010.
Hi i bought a brand new glock 17 recently and after about 200 rounds i noticed some of the black paint on the feeding ramp is chipping away, i have only had 4 mis feeds but im almost certain it was caused because of me slowly cocking back and then pushing the slide forward with my hand instead of letting it slam home, but i was also wondering if i should finish sanding off the rest if the paint in the feeding ramp just to make it smoother and avoid any future mis feeds?
