I still use my Glock 21 with the magazine extension plus 2 and plus 4. I have used it as my duty pistol for years. My pistol has night sights with the pistol light.
I have a Glock 21 Gen. 5 . I was looking for a .45 double stack and liked the MOS and the other changes they made. I plan on getting the parts to convert it to 10mm. Then it’s 2 guns in one. The FN is a beauty though.
I must say I'm a Glock guy but a couple weeks ago I purchased the fn tactical 10mm version took it out and fired it. With those high sights I was more accurate with it than any Glock I own. I really want the gen 4 Glock 30 but I believe I'm going to get the FN tactical 45 first
In my personal opinion I cannot see paying 600 dollars for a pistol and installing 800 more dollars in modifications to it. I’m just not into red dots & lights on any pistol.
I agree 99 percent of the time. This particular pistol KS the only one I ha e ever done that to. It us a $1k pistol a d about $1k in accessories so far. I also bought a supressor which I am waiting on the background paperwork to go through
Nothing wrong with a basic factory pistol. Even glock factory sights are fine. Flashlights can be extremely practical to have, more so than red dots. But it's cool to have a decked out gun. Just not always necessary, or worth your money.
First Glock I ever fired but I think it was a Gen 2 maybe 1st Gen my uncle still has it to this day I fired it actually about three or four months ago that thing is old and still runs like a champ has had so many rounds put through it and I honestly don't think it absolutely needs a new barrel just yet that's a chunk of a gun for a nine-year-old to be holding and honestly when I picked it up the other day it really didn't feel too much smaller compared to the newer gens
@@TerryBenton picked my son up from school the other day and I was thinking man I remember these fences being a lot taller I don't know if it's just me but high school kids are getting bigger and grade school kids seem to be getting smaller nowadays what are they putting in our food lol
@@TerryBenton next time I go see my uncle I will grab a short little video of that block that way we can determine what gen it is I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it was first gen but was in fact the first Glock I have ever fired come to think of it it is the first semi-auto handgun I ever fired it was probably for my safety but I remember everybody hyping up The recoil of the 45 before I shot it so I would hold it tight because I was so young but at the same time I didn't have any issues firing that Glock whatsoever that's what made me fall in love with .45 ACP is that Glock a year or two down the road I was all about the Colt 1911 or any 1911 for that matter as long as it was chambered in 45 ACP I really don't think it's a correct term when people say sig or sticatto has came out with a new 1911 chambered in 9 mm in my eyes that's not even close to a 1911 even if it's a single stack in my eyes if it's not chambered in 45 ACP it doesn't qualify as a true 1911 I can let the brand slide but not the caliber I mean if you were crawling in a tiny trench with a periscope flashlight I think you are going to want the bigger heavier round especially back then when ammo didn't have as many advances as it does now 9 mm is a good round no doubt but if you try to put a 9 mm FMJ foot-pounds of energy versus a 45 FMJ foot-pounds of energy as long as they are the same projectile it's quite simple who the winner is there I actually got to feel the texture of one of those cabot 45s a while after you made the video on yours and besides the price point I really do like that patented grip they have I forgot what it was called but a local gun store had one on display not for sale at least yet but I got to hold it and pushing up words on the muzzle you can really feel that thing sticking to your hand
I have a Glock 30S, threaded KKM barrel, 17 and 30 round mags, trigger job, all gor less than what the FN costs. Optics are not something I like on handguns, only for a hunting application and I prefer a raised sight not fixed on the slide zeroed at 150yds. My G30S is setup for 45super up to 35k psi handloads. About 1250fps 230gr. 1200fps 255gr. 1300fps 200gr. It is still concealable and weighs about 23ozs.
@@TerryBenton Really? G30S is an awesome gun. It was built for LAPD SIS to run +P ammunition for a lifetime. Its metallurgy is far stronger than any other Glock. I have almost 1000 rounds of 45super through mine and still looks like new. Let me recommend a DPM Systems TRS, puts it on a whole nother level.
@@TerryBenton yes I agree 100% percent. I have no use for any 10mm. Hard to find ammo & yes it’s very expensive!! I was just throwing it out there. My EDC is my Glock G21 G4 it’s simple it’s absolutely reliable & yes with 13+1 capacity it can stop any 2 or 4 legged threat that comes my way. That I think we both can agree on!! Great video & I am a subscriber!!!🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷
@thomaspalmer7900 I love my G21. It is too big for me to carry. My state dies not allow open carry. I ha e a G30s for conceal carry. They can share magazines. Thanks for watching
I will see what I can do. I do not ha e 1000k rounds though it yet. Been actually waiting a while on the supressor. I have not had it to thr range alot
Love the video. In all honesty I'm having the toughest time choosing between the both. I'm going to buy one this week for sure, but i don't know if it will be the fn 545 or the g21 gen 5. Any thoughts?
Ive got a question for you because i am having a hard time making this decision. I know you have both but if you didn't, and could only pick one which would you buy? The FN 545 tactical or the Glock 30s? I already have a g26 for cc and a beretta 92fs by my bedside so im really just buying another gun and the fn and 30s are the 2 I've narrowed down to be my 2 top picks. The g30s is a nice hybrid that i can use as a 2nd carry option during the winter and it can also hold the 13 rd mags for home defense, the FN is not a cc option but it looks amazing, holds 15 rds and would be a nice addition to my collection. So out of the 2 which would you choose? And please dont say both 😂
Honestly I would choose the 30s and use it as my Carry gun. Itnl isnsuch a versatile gun that I cannot say enough good stuff about. The FN has no practical use except a besldside gun or range gun. You could never carry it. I have it because I am in the process of waiting for a supressor
@elihollins1 anytime. B9thnare great guns. I just feel you will get more practical use for your money with the G30s is you are only buying one. The FN is a super cool well made gun also.
Funny how EVERYONE compares glocks to everything else, there the model A of the gun world! The only thing that normally gets changed is the number. There definitely the past, everyone else seems to have eyes on the future. It's called Innovation ,something glock knows nothing about!
@kleo5232 I do not carry either if these. I live in a state where open carry is not legal. I conceal carry a Glock 30s with 13 round G21 mags as backup. I bought the FN 545 for a supressor which I am still waiting on the paperwork (5 months so far far). I have a couple of videos on the g30s and g21 combination
The bear thing was a joke because of a RU-vid short I made and people went crazy over it. FN makes good stuff and if far superior to anything glock had. And this is from a guy that also owns several Glocks. Thank you for watching
I can tell you’ve never been in a gun fight by the way you bash the 9mm like it bounces off of human skin. I also hope you’re never in a gun fight, but you should do more research before posting videos.
