G30S is my EDC daily. I never leave home without her. I carry underwood ammo in mine. I love mine. Mine is completely OEM including Glock night sights.
SF Gen 3 models have same frame as Gen 4 Glock 30 that is my winter carry . That 30 is a tack driver cause 45 ACP Glocks have 8 polygonal grooves compared to others that have 6 grooves.
I have gen 5 and it does have slightly less recoil then a gen 4 but it’s like 10-15% less I’ll go gen 4 or gen 5 I do think the gen 4 weighs slightly less then the gen 5
If the Glock 30S took the Glock 36 barrel, I would probably own it by now. Yet the fact it takes its own proprietary barrel almost ruins the gun for me because you're taking a Glock platform with an abundance of parts to now specifically saying it can take only 30S parts which are hard to find new.
@@roadwarriormp88 I’ve seen videos of guys putting 36 barrel into a 30S and it was even thinner of a profile than the 30S and had a lot of movement between it and the slide. I’m sure they work but they are not exact and that worries me for parts compatibility.

I saw on some forums too that the 30S and 36 barrel have different part numbers from Glock but I see on the official Glock store they sell Gen 3 replacement barrels and label them as 30S/36 so I think your right. Thank you for clearing that up, I might actually buy one of these now.
