I had the 17 Umarex but it rattled and longer barrel didn't sit snuggly on the slide. I sold it and bought the 45. What a difference. It feels more solid and looks better too.
Wow! What a great review! Keep up the good quality, I subscribed after just one video! I’m actually trying to choose between the umarex glock 17 gen 5 green gas and this umarex glock 45. Can I ask your opinion, what do you think, which one is the better? Does the 17 has better accuracy, or they are equally accurate? And did they really fix the problem with the mag over travel stopping?
Hi there, with which is better, g17 or g45? Well, that depends on do you want a full-length slide or compact? As internals and frames are the same with all the latest batches. As for mag over travel, I have not had that issue with the g45.
Hi Andy, I have just bought this from watching your review. I have the Gen 5 17 and when I compare them, the magazine can still move up into the Rif to the same degree. You mention that VFC fixed this flaw and there is a stopper to stop the magazine travelling too far, can you tell me where this stopper is, as internally, it looks identical to the Gen 5 G17. Thanks
Got a problem; I have a G19X so basically the same gun, same brand and so on. THe slide just doesnt seem to want to come off. It goes a little forward but is just locked in place at that point. Any tips?
Hi there, first thing I do when field stripping my glock 45 is to drop the mag, second charge the gun making sure the internal hammer is set ready to fire, then without pulling the trigger pull and hold down the 2x small takedown levers either side of the frame with one hand while sliding the slide rearward and then forward in a smooth motion with the other hand. The slide should come off. The normal issues are that people drop the internal hammer, and now the slide can't clear it. The other issues are usually the takedown levers being really small and hard to pull all the way down so the slide can clear the locking wedge. Hope that helps.
@@MiddleAgeGameruk Mine does 'come off', but it only goes like 1cm forwards before getting stuck. Its almost like it gets caught on something although the trigger hasnt been pulled and the mag is out. Hope someone has found a fix.
Hi there, it depends on what you're looking for. If it's short and compact, then the glock is 45, but if it's full size, then the hk45. They are both different calibers in real life, but in Airsoft, they both shoot 6mm bbs.
@@MiddleAgeGameruk Hey, thanks for the response. Size doesn't matter for me in this case but it would be interesting to know which performs better as an airsoft.
Hey, thanks man. it's good to hear that vfc has better quality on their gbbs than their aegs. But it certainly doesn't make it easier to decide haha... Cold weather performance looked more or less equal so I think I just look in a store which one is fitting my hands better.
Hey, just a small Update in case someone is interested. I bought the HK 45 for two main reasons, first the ergonomics are far superior to the glock and secondly the lighter single action pull is more precise (for my shooting). Plus ... it's an HK, soo... :) Only two downsides are that it's harder to find a holster and even the amomax universal ones don't fit it due to the width of the trigger guard and secondly the mags are quite long, so they wont fit into standard pistol mag pouches with a flap on top, at least not my warrior and akah ones. For the holster I'm testing a Blackhawk P30 serpa. Other than that i'm very happy with it
No problem, just an FYI, the G17/18 mags will fit the G19, but the shorter G19 mags won't fit the G17/18. The G45 is based on a G17 Gen5 grip size with a G19 Gen5 length slide. Hope that helps.
I do prefer the looks of the g45 over the plane 19x. If they actually released the true 19x design with the manual safety like the actual trials version, then maybe 🤔
my gen 3 19 elte force is the most difficult handgun ive ever seen to strip. i actually had a rep from umarex talk me through it and we tried the way they say and still wouldnt work. i have to do it like a 9mm glock. i have to rack it pull the trigger but not release, pull down the tabs which is as useless as tits on a bull because my third hand has to pull the slide to i feel it in the trigger then as im pulling forward i release the trigger. now of course not having 3 hand nor a willy with a thumb its pretty darn difficult. mine has to be in battery or else it stops 1 inch after the slide releases forward. my tabs made my fingers bleed when first got it.ive stuck matches toothpick all kinds of stuff to try and hold them. its a total nightmare.the problem is is that after i short stroked it its such an animal. idont care if i had to eat it to get the slide off. its my fav of my 4elite forces. e.f. glocks are definately the best gbb pistol as far as im concerned. i love my e.f. usp-c but that glock turned into a whole other monster with a short stroke kit. it doesnt take away all its normal functions like some that dont lock upon last bb. its just enough spaced rings on the guide that its so fast i cant pull it as fast as it could cycle. also its stormtoopered w/ white slide and mag base. and black magwell. loved your thoughts on this 45. they are just a pleasure to shoot youre absolutely right. cheers
Tldr. Bro you just rack the slide to cock the internal hammer then pull down the TD bar and rack the slide again. It's one of the easiest guns to take apart.
Hi there, here in the UK, we do not require an orange tip. Here in the UK, if you are new to Airsoft and do not have a UKARA, then it must be painted bright colours.
Hi there, I got mine from landwarior here in the UK or there's firesupport as well, out side the UK you have redwolf or airsoft gi in the USA or if your in Asia then Action airsoft or wgcshop.com. Hope that helps.
Hi there, I personally wouldn't as I'm happy with the strong recoil and efficiency out of green gas, and where I live co2 is a little to much power to use in cqb.
I had a look for a co2 powered g45 but there doesn't seem to be one at this moment, if your still after one you can always run the g45 on nuprol 3.0 or propane in the cold weather and through somer on green gas the g45 uses the 19 size slide to a little lighter than the 17 so may work in your favor.
@@MiddleAgeGameruk yeah thats what i was thinking of. Tho I've heard people say with the vfc ones you can run co2. Seen one website make that claims and a bunch of people in forums but no one with a confirmed long term use
If you do it will destroy the gun. Y'all need to stop being obsessed with CO2. There's nothing wrong with green gas. And don't say anything about temperature bc there's multiple videos that show you how to effectively use CO2 in cold weather.
It’s not your grandpas revolver. Your grip needs serious work with automatic pistols. I realize it’s a BB gun but the fundamentals transfer over to the real deal.
You definitely can use the gen 5 mags in the 19x, just shave the lip off. Also if you're trying to grow a YT channel idk if it's a great idea to talk trash about law enforcement from a country you don't even live in. I'd venture to say that a good chunk of people watching airsoft videos are people who are into airsoft because they are either getting into LE, or are current LE. So maybe in future videos just keep your social and political views to yourself and stick to the point 🙄
Law enforcement has nothing to do with airsoft pal. And if you have to shave something off then you can’t use it without modifying it🙄 aka you can’t use it.
