Keep us posted on your thoughts with the new Glock assembly, brother! Dave’s drills are still my go to drills mixed with a little Hackathorn in between. Pistol craft Legends!
I just put one in a g45...LOVE IT!...tiny take up defined wall 3lb break quick reset..may be a bit light for some people conceal carrying...but if you have a proper holster you will be fine
For those who have bought or are going to buy that trigger, that rubber band is there for a reason! Do not let the two pieces separate... Initial reports that I have heard are very good so far. There is a small municipal department in an adjoining county that is experimenting with the trigger. 3 to 3.5 pounds seems to be a normal pull...
I wonder if this is a solid carry option? I installed one in my G45 and so far I like it. It’s not the best trigger in the world, but i like that it’s a Glock part and if I was ever in a self defense situation, it cannot be argued that I installed aftermarket parts that aren’t “approved” by the manufacturer. I have not tested the pull weight though, but noticeably lighter than stock.
Dave I run Suarez flat face trigger original patrol model on my Glock 17 and 19 with a ghost rocket 3.5. look at what he has they are worth a look especially with the np3 coating. The best trigger I have ever shot on a Glock
Look into the ghost pro connector kit (Just keep the OEM striker spring) . My 43 has that and a polish it works really well about a 4lb pull and no overtravel till the slide cycles just like this glock trigger. The full size ghost kits stop all over travel.
The notch where that bar slides into is perfect with the 3/32 Glock punch you push down on it then push the bar through . Your way works also but I found it easier with the punch
Don't get me wrong, I love race guns. But, I don't like an extremely light trigger on a duty/self defense weapon, because the adrenaline dump you get in a firefight makes a 5lb. trigger feel like a 1lb. trigger
The trigger actually surprised me. Yes the bottom metal prod goes in between the c-cup. It’s a light trigger. Not recommended for duty carry. Nice stipple job btw.
@@zae.av04 I would use it in my EDC but you will need to practice with it a lot, to understand how different it is from anything you’ve tried from Glock before. I was gonna run it and add a plus connector to see how much lbs it would be. The smoothness is hard to match anything Glock as current or even from other manufacturers.
@@zae.av04 oh cool man. Yea I used it at shot show. I also had the chance to take it apart and see how it actually worked. Yea if you can get one I’d say do it. Mine just arrived last week. I have it in my 19x.
MY 5 CENTS: 1. FEELS LIGHTER THAN STOCK TRIGGER? YES. IT'S SO MUCH SO IT REQUIRES SOME SERIOUS GETTING USED TO. MIGHT BE GOOD FOR COMP SHOOTING BUT NOT SURE AS EDC. 2. MUSHY? NO BUT LESS "CLICKY" THAN STOCK TRIGGERS 3. RESET TRAVALING DISTANCE FEELS THE SAME TO ME 4. PAY ATTENTION TO KEEP 2 PIECES TOGETHER. THEY BECOME SEPARATED SO EASILY (THAT'S WHY THEY HAVE A RUBBER BAND). IF TWO BECOMES SEPARATED UPON INSTALLATION, IT MAKES THE SLIDE TO NOT COME OFF AND IMPOSSIBLE TO DISASSENBLE BY USING THE SLIDE LOCK. THOSE 2 PARTS ARE ALMOST FREE FLOATING TO EACH OTHER AND THEY DON'T "LOCK" EACH OTHER LIKE THE STOCK PARTS.
Is there actually a "wall"? Looks almost like a rolling break, like how Gen 5's are stock. 14k rounds through my 19.4 with a 3.5lb connector and I prefer it over my PDP
i wonder if this trigger system would fit my gen4 g17 by just replacing the slide backplate cover with one designed for a gen5 .. any idea if this is possible?
stippling is not super aggressive but definitely aids in the grip. It's a good texture from AIM surplus and their laser services. I have it on both this G19 and G48. Maybe we'll do a review video on both of those set ups, thanks for the comment!
Nice doesn't seem really mushy. Probably get a little more comfortable after some usage. Keep us posted, definitely interested to see how you think it performs.
@@2ballsyourjaws you right on a carry gun, or p80, but when it comes to the trigger some are sluggish, and I have multiple Glocks of the same kind, I'll just pick one to mess around with when I go out back tomy range. Prob would be my extra 19x, but I'll prob just get the new performance trigger from Glock
Looking for something to replace my timmney trigger with. Way to many light primer strikes with it and it my ZP slide won't fire a single round with it. I'll probably go with this or a JG trigger
Do you think the Timney Shoe on this trigger system work like JGa vex? Have you thought about using the Timney Shoe ? If you do can you do another video with results?
Might swap it out for a lone wolf shoe I have on hand but I do like the idea of putting a timney shoe on it! Would post video update if I go that route.
I liked the Timney, but never loved it. It always seemed to need fine tuning which made me less confident. I've since replaced it the new Glock Performance Trigger with a minus connector and a lighter striker and plunger spring, I'm very close to achieving Glock Perfection and feel more confident carrying than I did with the Timney.
1. The glock performance trigger maintains the 3 internal safety mechanisms as the stock trigger which is good if you happen to find yourself in a provocative situation so you don’t have to Worry about the weapon malfunctioning, lets say, it were to drop, hit the ground and have an AD in a potentially public and/or somewhat crowded area. 2. I know people preach that if you have a lighter trigger, say under 4lbs, to not use it for EDC because when the Adrenalin kicks in you could send a stray round or two due to the lighter trigger. My school of thought is… that’s why you train and develop good habits and discipline. In a self defense situation, If you made the decision to Draw down and put your finger on the trigger, you’ve already made the decision to shoot anyways. Provided the training… I don’t buy into any of that “too light” crap. Just my 2 cents… hope this helps.
I would have to try one out to decide. I have the Timney trigger on my range gun, have to see if people say it's better. I hear you on the reset though. I used the striker control device on my carry gun, this wouldn't work with that so that's a no. I would rather Glock come out with an actual nice trigger that didn't precock the striker.
The trigger over travels when the slide cycles? Does the Timeny do that? If so whats the point may as well stick to the ghost kit. I know the slim line ghost connectors do this as well.
