My whip has alot of breakage now, it's really curved too, I'd like to replace the fibers and re install new ones instead of purchasing another. Is that possible?
The heads on our Space Whip Remix are interchangeable, replacements can be found here on GloFX.com :) >> glofx.com/space-fiber/space-fiber-accessories/ For any other models, please contact our support team at support@glofx.com and they can provide you with more info ✨
I received my whip yesterday and one of the little strands is out of place with the rest.... it just bothers me... is that normal? Also the line doesn’t shine- just the end light does shin
Congrats on getting a new whip! The fiber optics can bend and become out of place. When storing your whip, be sure to coil it up neatly and place in a cool, dry area. This will help prolong the life of the fibers. We offer two types of fiber optics with the Space Whip Remix. End Glow fibers force light directly to the end of each strand creating the brightest possible point of light. Sparkle fibers include pinpoints of light are all throughout the fibers which will cause the end of each strand to be a little dimmer. Let us know if you have any other questions.
I don't recommend using "whip grease." It doesn't actually help with your whip not getting stuck and will end up on your clothes. Instead, wear synthetic fabrics that cover your skin and take off any jewelry (rings, bracelets, belts, necklaces). If your whip feels like it's still getting caught, it's either dirty (from sweat + dirt) and needs to be cleaned (use dish soap) or it's built up a static electric charge that's causing it to stick to you (think how a balloon will stick to a sweater after you've rubbed it against your head).
Would unscented dish soap be okay? I was planning on cleaning both of my GloFX whips today and then putting the GloFX lubricant on them after they are dry...
You can clean the fibers as often as you'd like, but we'd definitely recommend cleaning them after flowing at an outdoor event that may have caused some dirt to collect on the fibers, or if you notice any discoloration or build up on the fibers. As for greasing the fibers, this can be done as often as you'd like as well, but probably good to apply some before each flow session as needed :)
Why does GloFX Grease say "non toxic" but then doesn't list the ingredients and says, "Exclusive Silicone-Based Formula" and "Not for personal use"? What's in it? I wouldn't trust putting something like this on my skin with this kind of warning and not knowing what's in it.
Hi friend! We definitely recommend a silicon-based lubricant for your fibers to make sure your flow is nice and smooth and doesn't stick to your skin or clothing :)
Hope they stand behind this product better than the actual whip. This company has a "lifetime warranty" that is not what it appears. The warranty they provide you at purchase indicates the warranty is for the life of the product -- but its not. I made a warranty claim and they denied it saying the "lifetime warranty" was only good until GloFx discontinues your product and mine was discontinued before now. BEWARE!!!!!
I don't like a lot of GloFX's business practices. For customer service, I rank Ants on a Melon and then Fiberflies. Unfortunately, Ants on a Melon hasn't finished producing their latest whip yet, but Fiberflies has been my stable for the last 5 years.
We have our Space Whip Remix's available for sale on GloFX.com! Check out the awesomeness by clicking here ---> glofx.com/fiber-optic-space-whips/complete-space-whips/ :)
