Maybe a rough decision for Murthel but the pressure is always on the challenger to win decisively and he wasn't able to turn the tide in his favor until r4. Also, Nieky was clearly carrying an injury on his right leg, exacerbated by that first tumble. Good fight from both men.
Well Nieky Holzken has moved up from losing the lightweight championship to win the welterweight title - though it wasn't easy - in fact I thought Murthel Groenhart finished all over him and was unlucky not to be awarded the title.
In their second fight, Groenhart fought the perfect fight and got robbed. I don't know what the hell happened to him in this fight. Wasn't himself. Great fight both.
he is not wearing any... what you see are holes in his ears coming from what is called 'tunnels' in europe, some sort of pearcing that requires a hole in the ear of the size of the piece youre gonna wear

We need 10 rounds in kickboxing. Murtel lost the 5 rounder. But I think with 10 he would have won, possibly got a knockout because Holzken was done in the last.
people say murthel won the 2nd fight. I disagree, if you look at the priority scoring criteria 6:02 it was close and hence the split decision. in the end looking at the scoring criteria you see why. clean scoring strikes with spectacular technique is rated higher. Holzken had more of those. While Murthel had more normal strikes. But the tally only counts strikes landed, no difference between spectacular or normal. Nicky also inflicted more cumulative damage, again Murthel hit with one one one one, and majority blocked by holzken, never combinations landed.
