I love that Glory uploads these full fights for free on RU-vid. It's great fan service and a great way for people like me to introduce others to high level kickboxing, and hopefully getting more people interested in the sport that way.
I think Pereira learnt a lot from this fight, in this fight and earlier ones, he uses a high guard and doesn't bounce as much, whereas now his hands are lower, allowing for more of a slip and attack style which suits his power
It's so cool to see this fight in 2019. Alex is a f****** monster, and you can really see the evolution. If these two would rematch, it would be a whole different fight.
@I'mSmarterThanYouAndThereIsNothingYouCanDoAboutIt Vakhitov loose that fight against Abena imo,and Pereira K.o Abena, the only one who have a change is Maslobojev and he beat Pereira already
Artem Levin is a shadow of his former self now. He stopped fighting regularly at top level in 2015. Either way, Levin is one of the greatest of all time at 75-81kg in both Muay Thai and kickboxing. A feat that Pereira will never reach in the current piss poor division (through no fault of his own). Levin would've run circles around Pereira like Izzy did and he would've run circles around Izzy too imo. That was just how good he was.
Artem Levin has to be one of the greatest defensive kickboxers in history. He's not quite as Petrosyan's level, but he absolutely incredible. Excellent head movement, good feints, a good jab, etc. He's an excellent counter striker when he chooses to be. He is excellent at smothering his opponent's work and working knees in the clinch even if he flirts with bending the rules a bit. And he has good kicking skills as well. He mixes it altogether so beautifully. He's probably one of the most underrated and underappreciated kickboxers ever. I mean, Pereira was not unbeatable but he was a legitimately great kickboxer with massive power and Artem toyed with him here.
Hannibal Lecter this russian is world Tay champ long time. He was greate hope of kickboxing . Regret now is not too much good kick promotion as at 2000
This was my first Glory event I've went to. It was at the Great Western Forum, boy was that a long ass event 2 events in one night. Got to watch CroCop that night. Then the 8 man tournament, for sure I'll always go to a Glory event if it's near me.
Ele disse, for what?
It must be difficult to say "Pereira" in English as it sounds like "Perrera"(doghouse). lol. Just funny, no hate & RESPECT. Excellent match, like GLORY more each fight I see. Love from Argentina!
Taha Biha Levin´s skills from boxing is what Taha is Sayin. Surreal to see something like this in kickboxing...I would like to see more fighters to this stuff.
Artem is smart af. Used the clinch to totally f*** up Alex' footwork. Looked like the constant back take (legal or otherwise) really confused and exhausted ole boy. That being said I think It would be a different fight today. Alex uses a lot more feints now and I think Alex physical strength now would have Levin in trouble in those clinch positions. Smart fight tho!
@@brandonmcalpin9228 nah if you watch the fight their styles just clashed and created a lot of clinching. both guys were equally causing it but only levin got a point taken away. so he protested it by saying hes not fighting anymore.
Yes exactly one. He had no answer for the clinching and evasion of Levin. I'm not a fan of Levin's style at all though. Not very aesthetically pleasing to be honest.
anyway i think that this artem is not enought talented also if they were really good they will play in heavy weight with saki , sprong ghita and so on and all of kick boxing fans knows that in us or canada , there are no good fighters , however they always bring a dude , who can nothing and try to make from him something , which is rediclous, in k-1 was more interesting cos they were just the real amazing kick boxers , hari , remy , semmy, aerts , feitosa and alistair , that was something
+Taha Biha you dont know shit about kickboxing moron. Artem is one of the best there is. And he fights in another weight class. Go watch boxing instead of kickboxing and do us a favour
@@Jizzaprove my comment was made 7 years ago, but you know what? I think Artem Levin would beat him again, if he decides to get out of retirement. Since Alex hasn't beat him even once. And Pareira should've lost his middleweight title against Vakhitov, if it wasn’t for the incredibly idiotic (some say corrupt) judging in their rematch.
@@thecheeze9001Artem would still beat him today. Alex hasn’t changed much other than just getting heavier. He still fights the same way more or less. Just has more muscle now. Good chance Jiri knocks him out because his head movement isn’t that good.
