I used to mock this song in church when I was little between 4-6 years old just bc I didn’t truly understand the teachings and got easily bored at church. 15 years later I understand who Christ is and this song brings me love and peace every time I here it. Praise be to god!!!!!!
@@rem_rem. I use to get defensive with people when they’d do this to me, but thank God for clarity bc I was shown there’s big G and there’s the little gs ; overall, there’s none that compares to the power of the God of Abraham. Praises be to El Shaddai, in the name of Jesus ❤️🔥🙏🏾🩸‼️
Whoever is reading this and you are struggling, frustrated and seems like nothing is working out. You will overcome. I pray for a breakthrough, blessing and miracle in your life. God is with you✨✨💗💗
I have never felt so close to God's love as right now. I joined Catholicism in 2019 through these love-filled hymns. Wishing everyone a peaceful day in God's grace 🥰🥰🥰
Since my conversion to Catholicism earlier this year this song, along side Immaculate Mary, have become my two favorite new songs of praise . Both are so good and create such a feeling of peace and ease. Glory ot God. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on us, Immaculate Heart of Mary pray for us.
My Church a few years ago played this Hymn with different instruments and ever since it’s been my favourite, they changed the way we sing it so I can only relive the version I love through memory, but this will do too. 🤲🏾✝️❤️
My favorite song ever. We sing it in Church however my Church sings the “Lord, JEsUs Christ” part different where it start low and then every like the sound and voice grow louder and it feels even more powerful. Which that version was on here
I miss the old one. The old one sounds more like a battle cry. This one seems more like Christmas. Does anyone know where I can find chords to the old one?
I have been looking for it as well...It looks like it's in a book called the Canticle on page S 280 but I haven't been able to find a working link to take me to it. If you find it please reply to this message
Here is the original (from prior to 1970): Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace to men of good will. We praise You. We bless you. We adore You. We glorify You. We give You thanks for Your great glory. O Lord God, heavenly King, God the Father Almighty. O Lord Jesus Christ, the Only-begotten Son. O Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father: You Who take away the sins of the world, Have mercy on us. You Who take away the sins of the world, Receive our prayer. You Who sit at the right hand of the Father, Have mercy on us. For You alone are holy. You alone are the Lord. You alone, O Jesus Christ, are most high. Together with the Holy Spirit In the glory of God the Father. Amen.
Glória in excélsis Deo et in terra pax homínibus bonae voluntátis. Laudámus te, benedícimus te, adorámus te, glorificámus te, grátias ágimus tibi propter magnam glóriam tuam, Dómine Deus, Rex cæléstis, Deus Pater omnípotens. Dómine Fili Unigénite, Iesu Christe, Dómine Deus, Agnus Dei, Fílius Patris, qui tollis peccáta mundi, miserére nobis; qui tollis peccáta mundi, súscipe deprecatiónem nostram. Qui sedes ad déxteram Patris, miserére nobis. Quóniam tu solus Sanctus, tu solus Dóminus, tu solus Altíssimus, Iesu Christe, cum Sancto Spíritu: in glória Dei Patris. Amen
My church used to sing this song every Sunday mass! After Covid they stopped playing it and I started to miss it. My family visited another church and they sang this song. My memories came back and I started to feel really happy and safe.
I haven’t heard this version in a while. My church used to sing it like this but then we changed to the normal version and sometimes the Gloria in Latin (also love that one) this one is still my favorite
"And he said unto them, This is that which the LORD hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning."Exodus, Chapter 16:23. KJV
Amen🙏💞
Jesus loves every single one of you so much. Turn to him before its too late for because he cares for your souls. I was lost but now im found. He can take your brokeness and give you joy and peace that surpasses all understanding. Jesus is coming back turn to him before it is too late❗ Isaiah 55:6-7 King James Version 6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 King James Version 15 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: John 3:16-21 King James Version 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. Romans 10:9-13 King James Version 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Jesus is the ONLY way not marry not any other dead saints but Jesus alone! He loves you turn to him, believe in him.and you will be saved! Acts 16:31 King James Version 31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
Every Sunday my tears will fall and get goose bump when this hymm comes on....I not sure why...Being 60 and getting that feeling during mass overwhelms me really deep inside.
