The cost of my carbon fiber parts for my motorcycle scares me to attempt this process but the gloss bothers the hell out of me.

Great work! look, i chiped a little of the matt coating on my wheel and i want to spray a little of a matt spray on it. i will protect all the surroundings but im wondering if you have experience with little touch of paint, as i believe, it will be almost impossible to match the right color of the wheel...any procedure would you suggest? thanks

Cool, I use carbon fiber as support structure/"rebar" (before it was shredded fiber glass) 2 x 2 weave (but I just cut it it and extract threads if I the force is just in one direction) for home repairs at the moment with JB Weld as matrix and sometime Pinoy super glue (better than Loctite) if I don't need to bind curved broken parts like a mechanism in the toilet float (old style) but may I use carbon fiber for more epic stuff (cars like matte carbon fiber Koenissegg or Pagani? :-) What's the equivalent grit of that superfine steel wool? I have a lot of unused sandpaper grits' been sitting for almost a decade. The factory may have used sandblaster with a kind of particulates mix to get their black film antique Superman animated shading from the 40's (also in Batman: The Animated Series). God bless.

what kind of abrasive compound did you use? is it the same as a rubbing compund for cars?
