Thanks for posting this video. My glove side has rapidly since watching this video a couple of times!

I tried holding my glove at 11 o'clock as suggested and I feel as if it helped. I used to hold it around 9 o'clock and noticed improved catching. Thanks for the help!

for a newer goalie I have a fairly strong catching hand, however, off one timers or quick releases off turn overs etc which are around the hash marks or closer I get beat off the pant and in or in that small gap under my glove/elbow/pad which tho i pull my elbow in tight and fast as possible, I believe after watching this I can see that I am not adjusting my glove position and have it to high in my stance for that distance. If the puck was shot alittle further out from hash marks Ill catch it 95% of the time. I am totally going to keep this in mind and practice it next ice time. Thanks a lot.

I get more shots up high within the hash marks then up high from the top of the circle. barely ever got any up high close to the point

Great content. You might want to think about your audio. In the rink theres much distraction in the audio track. Better use clip on microphone (not too expensive these days even with transmitter). Professional videos deserve professional audio...

This is a fine 101 video for absolute novices, however these rigid techniques are flawed at high level play. Keeping your glove pointed up on an in tight blocking save is disastrous. There is no perfect glove position, cover open space with the palm square to the puck, variations in height, forward lean and wrist angle will depend on your own biomechanics.
