Dream bike, think you've got it absolutely spot on, congratulations! I've been researching Thornton Hundred and Triumph Bobbers for a while and I'm interested that you've found them ok for a first "big bike". I had a 200cc scrambler many years ago which I lived on but I never did my test and always regretted it. After a health scare just over a year ago I thought, no more time to waste, so I did my CBT and theory test. And my son and I bought a Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 (small world!) to practice on (he passed in October on 750GS). We love the Husky which is also only 4 months old now, and I agree it's a perfect little fun bike to learn on. Fingers crossed for me in couple of weeks, then I'll be setting my sights on a Triumph Bobber but possibly a Street/Speed Twin (or similar) beforehand so your comments are valuable. Enjoyed your post, thanks!

Another great video Mr Goblin....have discovered your channel via Thornton Hundred. I really enjoyed hearing your general chit chat about the process you went through to get where you are now: riding a Triumph Bobber. This is my dream but I've never ridden a motorcycle. It sounds like you learnt to ride fairly recently too and pretty much did the CBT and then how long before you did the DAS? I don't really want to waste too much time (am 52!) mucking around on small bikes.... but then being completely inexperienced I thought I might do the CBT and then get a small Royal Enfield to chip around on until I can lose the L plates and do the DAS. Early days for me but am jealous (in a good way ) of where you are. I wish I was there !! Anyhow good luck, you sound like a nice articulate guy and you ride well and very sensible..... at 52 I don't feel any need for speed!!... I just want to to cruise at about 50mph and enjoy that freedom of getting out...seems like that's how you ride too. All the best. Btw love the matching helmet!
