Taking a look at a “Glowing Day” 16” Super Deluxe desk fan. Any questions please let me know in the comments below and I’ll answer them as best I can, enjoy! #Vintagefan #retro
I like it. I would probably have that fan next to my bed, the light is a great light for when I am about to sleep and am reading or something, then I can easily turn it off from the fan instead of going to the light switch
When I was a child, My grandfather used to have an fan business and We imported a lot of oscillating fans from Taiwan including Fans made by _Yuan Long Machinery Co.,Ltd._ It was 80% of the bulk sales with the other 10% being the exclusive distributor for KDK and 10% shared between Kando & TAT. These fans were considered cheap compared to KDK but they were reliable and very good with minimal return rate and after sales service. This model was offered in the same colors as KDK.
@@fanaticalfans I always like to share little stories like that with the fan collectors because we all can connect no matter what part of the world we are live in. But it’s a shame that the quality of KDK has gone down in the last 30 years since they moved production from Japan to Malaysia in 1993. The current models are nowhere near the same level of quality that they were in the mid 1980s and early 1990s. I don’t know if you have seen the current ones, but they have replaced a lot of metal parts with plastic.
@@boyguapito1 yes, it is disappointing to see the reduction in quality but that seems to be the trend with all fan manufacturers now - the plastic ones are nowhere near as durable as the older better built models
