Today I show you how to install ‪@GlowShift‬ Elite 10 gauges in my 1st gen cummins. I decided to go the route of doing an overhead gauge pod because I'm not a fan of the pillar pod and my factory tach was in the way of where a dash pod would go...so I decided to do the overhead pod. Check out the install and my first impressions of the Glowshift Elite 10 gauges.

Glad that hardware worked for you Tyler! Since you’re only the second person ever using those mounts you now make up 50% of the market research on them 😂 I’ve been running mine that way for over a year now with no problems and I love them in that spot. I hope they continue to treat you well! Great job as always with the video too!

I appreciate you taking the time to make them and send them my way! I think the lateral support is a huge part of why they grab so well..those magnets are super strong too! The spot it sits on the windshield is awesome, so easy to look up at the gauges from the drivers seat and doesn't make any blind spots. Cheers!

Fuel should be around 7-15psi so yours seems a pinch low. Stock H1C I’m getting 20-25 lbs boost max, 5lbs driving and 25 lbs max throttle. Hope that helps. Great video and nice job on the install. I did the triple pod on the pillar with the tack on steering column and that looks awesome too. Happy New Year

Is that with the stock lift pump? Yeah I guess mine does seem a bit low. It doesn't drop though even when I'm max throttle. I could only get the h1c to about 15psi under max throttle. This truck is pretty bone stock right now though. Happy new year! Thanks for watching.

Nice factory optioned tach! Can you make a video showing how they mounted it and where the wiring plugs in? I just picked one up for my 92 and am waiting to install it.

I think it's just the camera they don't flash in real life or blink. They look great in person.

They are better than those splice connectors any day...however I would rather have an independent auxiliary fuse block. It's on my list

I'm curious about how well the magnets hold. How big of a bump will cause them to pop off if at all? How hard or easy is it to pull the pod down? It looks amazing, I'm seriously thinking of putting this setup in a couple of my vehicles. Great video, been a fan for years.

These rare earth magnets are actually surprisingly strong. I think each magnet is like 10lbs of pull force each or something. They really stick on there! It's almost tough to pull it off. The machined pieces of metal on the windshield that have lips really hold the pod well laterally as well. I'd recommend this type of setup!

180 is low for a transmission temperature. My newer GMC Sierra runs 185 on a regular drive in the summer. Hits around 205-210 if I’m snowplowing a large account.

Where are you measuring yours from? I'll keep an eye on my temps during the summer and see what they get to. Right now things are pretty cool and the temps aren't getting near that high

Do the magnets interfere with the electronics of the gauges at all?

I think they are far enough away that they don't interfere. It is definitely noteworthy though to watch out for.

Hi I can't recall if I needed the extension piece or not off the top of my head. If I didn't say it in the video I don't think I needed it.

I kinda figured after I watched the video more. Some parts look similar I like to see them side by side. My 727 has the switch location in the line but no switch since has no overdrive. What is your top speed on that truck? I got mine to 79mph with 3200 govenor spring.

I don't really aim for top speed as things start to get dicey...haha but I've had it up to 130kmh

I think you're running a lower gear ratio rear end unless your gears transmission are close together.

I know it’s out of subject but what heater control unit is that?

One that I don't like 🤣 they are from earlier years of dodges without the vacuum actuated hvac systems. These are just two cables that run over to the heater box and control little doors. Apparently the dealer installed it because the guy who bought it wanted ac after it was ordered from the factory
