I'm sure this doesn't work for everyone, but I'm a very sensitive Cœliac and have been for 14 years. I could never eat a gluten-free meal in a restaurant that wasn't strictly a gluten-free specialist restaurant until I tried these pills. They are not intended to allow you to eat anything with gluten, but they do prevent cross-contamination from making a Cœliac sick for three days after a small amount of cross-contamination. I have been using them for about a year and I can now eat gluten-free meals in restaurants that don't necessarily cater to Cœliacs.

So glad to see you + GFN back! hope the new job is going great, thanks for an in-depth, common sense look into GluteGuard. It seems like a gimmicky way to even further discredit us coeliacs/ serious GF people, as if people don't take our allergy seriously enough already now we're going to just be told to take a pill. ugh, kind of frustrating but hopefully this research will lead to more positive advances! My gma was diagnosed w coeliac a log time ago, like 20-25 years ago before anyone even really knew what gluten was. She has 2 types of pills, 1 of them is a digestive enzyme type pill (ironically they have papaya enzymes in them) + she takes them whenever she goes somewhere that she isn't positive will give her GF food. She still gets mild glutened symptoms, but she says the pills help the reaction be less severe. I will ask her about the pills to see what exactly they are. Probably just a cheaper, more natural version of whatever GluteGuard is. I can see products like that working for some but not for others, just like their own trial proved. She never uses her pills to consciously cheat on her GF diet tho, that just seems risky/ stupid/ discrediting to the needs of GF people.

Wow, 1 gram and 14 coeliacs! Such a great clinical trial. I appreciate the video, no misconceptions now! (:

thanks for making this video! As an Aussie coeliac who has seen this product around for years it gives me the ick too and am quite happy to say so. Every thought that you had I have had and still do! It was research funded by their own company, not peer reviewed or a double blind trial, with as many people that I see in the kitchen in my office most days. *In my opinion* it's rubbish and preys on the weaknesses and vulnerabilities of coeliacs, causing mass confusion and potential mistakes in diet which could have dire consequences. I have so much more to say, but it's Christmas Eve, and I want to watch Die Hard hahaha

The enzye I beleive is call Papain. Odd how I used to take Papain (Papya Enzymes) decades ago before they became hard to come by in our healthfood stores. Hmmmm.......very interesting. Thanks for the video. Celiac Revelation

I think it's possible or even likely that this product might be able to break down some amount of gluten. The amount of gluten consumed, the dosage and the timing of administration will also likely affecting how well it works. It sounds kind of like birth control that works around 60% of the time. I suppose even marginal birth control is better than no birth control according to the lady with seven children, that claims she would otherwise have had 12.

I totally agree about gluteguard, I do not trust them with the comments, they are diverting the focus of what you are trying to say. I want to know if something is bad for me with a reaction, I don't want a bandaid and find out it's doing damage. I think it's pointless to take something like that, might as well take a panadol thinking you might get a headache? why?? Merry Christmas

I live in Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺 I won’t try the gluteguard because I think it’s BS basically , I’m allergic to gluten so I won’t eat gluten ( I just wish restaurants would be trained so us coeliac people wouldn’t get poisoned in the first place )

In the U.S. we presently have three gluten free Oreo cookies to choose from at local supermarkets: Regular, Double Stuff and Mint flavored. I get the Double Stuff as you get more "bang for your buck" by weight with that choice. Great information and thanks for sharing!

I understand about using before and after glutening. It’s meant to be taken before but if you are glutened it may help reduce the pain and damage because the food will travel through your system for hours after. I personally will use this or similar products when in a restaurant or travels when I am eating and not sure if it’s 100% gluten free. For example Japan travels..

Hi could I ask a question? Are total IGA and ttg iga the same thing? I had a blood test a while ago for fatigue and just IGA was included in that. I was told that was the screen for coeliacs but I couldn’t see any mention of ttg IGA on that. I just want to make sure that I’m not being brushed off I guess when I’m struggling with a lot of tummy symptoms 😅

Only IgA total it is not enough, but with IgA-EMA or tTG IgG and tTG IgA

I'm a brand new subscriber watching from London. I have a rare genetic disease called Tyrosinemia Type 2. It's a metabolic disorder which affects my liver amongst other things. A gluten free, dairy free, meat free diet is doing me the world of good. Happy Veganuary! P.S. Gluten free Oreo Cookies ? YAY!!!!
