I appreciate this review. I don't eat a lot of gluten free pasta! If I could find a single box to try of the best recommended...
@lydialady5275

I've tried the Banza pasta, and I tried for the whole box to make it taste good, with the desired texture. So many packages have corn, or a corn derivative, that I am extremely cautious. Wheat starch gives me belly problems, but not gluten, so I often just make my own pasta. I work the gluten into a ball, let it rest, and roll it out. It can be a lot of work, so I don't make it often. Now, I'm going to have to watch that macaroni cheese video of yours. I love macaroni cheese, and I have a bit of a batch of my gluten dough left. Thank you for this. I'm going to have to stalk Amazon and see what they have available. The last I knew, they had run out of supplies when I ordered powdered goats' milk.

I don't need gluten free but I love both Bionaturae and Jovial brands of pastas and tomato products. They are organic and I can get them in glass jars which I want all from Azure Standard. Since they can be pricy I get them in bulk to save a little. I'm happy to see that you picked both brands in case I ever need gluten free for company. It amazes me you can pick up all the different favors and textures, me it's just food and if it passes the smell test I'll eat it. Maybe eating for years in a chow hall you learn not to be selective. LOL Once again I really enjoyed this video and I know those with food issues find your videos extremely helpful!!

Will try the bio natura. Jovial has top notch tomatoes and beans too. Barilla is Italy’s leading brand of pasta so must give that a try too. The lentil and chickpea pastas are definitely NOT close. Thanks for reviewing.

Great video it is very helpful and I love how in depth you are with your descriptions. I normally avoid all pasta because of food allergies and poor digestion, Though I am curious have you tried jovial cassava flour Gf pasta? Also have you found a 100% organic quinoa pasta that is good? Looking forward to the cauliflower pasta video maybe you could include cassava flour too as a comparison. :)

This was a terrific video, chef. I have yet to find a gluten-free pasta that was any good. I'll try your recommendation. I'm not strictly gluten-free, but, I don't feel well after eating pasta exactly like you describe, so I've given it up. I'm not sure, though, if it's the gluten or just a wheat sensitivity. I used to love pasta, and I'd love to find one that actually resembles real pasta. Great idea for a video. Thank you for making this.

My mom has been full blown gluten intolerant for decades. They say it’s genetic but I’ve not been tested. I have found that grains in general don’t do me any justice but wheat other than 00 Italian pretty much destroys me. I feel like crap after I eat wheat. Interestingly enough though some beer I can tolerate. A local brewer told me it was because amylase is used in some brews and it breaks down gluten. I just avoid it all.

I buy Jovial, and some -- it comes in a bag -- something Joy? It's rice pasta, and it's good. You know, I almost forgot. Before I found Jovial, I bought a lot of pastas at the Asian store. And they had some black pasta that had bounce, like regular pasta. I forgot all about that. It was the only one I ever found with that bounce. Jovial may have it a little bit, but the Chinese black pasta was the best. And, unfortunately, I am also allergic to corn. Or maybe not allergic, but definitely sensitive to. Gut doc said corn has a protein that resembles gluten.

I love corn as well but it does not love me. Thanks for sharing. By the way I think the noodles you may have purchased in the Asian store might be buckwheat noodles

@@AwareHouseChef I learned all that you mentioned and see it's likely on a ship somewhere. What I found odd is the ingredients are "natural and organic"; so, is the natural the water, the percentage they don't even have to tell us, or the way they created the rice and lentils? You never know these days if you don't do deeper research. I was always curious about the one in the bag and the Jovial, it's amazing to get to see the comparisons you do. Like another commenter, I get my tomatoes from Jovial too. I have always trusted foods from Italy more than the USA, though these days I wonder what happens on the ship. Finding real organic food is like running a gauntlet; it's a ton of work trying to determine if there is deception or if what you have is truly healthy. Good food is life!

Let me get this straight. The name of each and every pasta you tried is called "this one?" It's getting really hard to move that red dot around and find when the camera shows the boxes.
