Of all the Gluten free Scone recipes I checked out on here yours was the best for me. You will be happy to know that I bake em every week. They turn out great and my girl loves them. We live in Warsaw and all her friends and family have never tried it Ben heard of scones so when I deliver your recipe to them they scoff them down heartily!😄 I am waiting for them to come out of the oven as I write. Thanks a lot.👍😄😄

I know this is an old video now, but just thought I'd point out that Stork isn't dairy free, in case anyone needs to avoid it and doesn't already know. I'm looking forward to giving this recipe a go - I've mastered most free from baking, but scones have so far eluded me!

Bookhouse girl hi there. The solid stork that I’m recommending is dairy free. It’s only the tub stork that has buttermilk in.

Hi made this recipe taste nice but it turned out hard,The scone wore to firm one’s i Cooked them,I used coconut butter instead as I can have any other butter, What did I do wrong, Regards Violeta

Hi my name is sheridan I live in melb Aust Ive just made a batch Ill see how they turn out I did not put vanilla in them as I never use to before I was celeac I have tried many recipes to get them to not taste bitter the only thing that woprked was soya dibitted flour but they dont taste like scones I have not tryed yours lets hope the lemon juice helps mind you I ran out of lemon juce so I used lime instead I hope that is still ok Ill let you know how they taste thank you.

Self rising flour already has baking powder, so you prefer to add more?

Yes the Doves Farm flour that I used in that video contains xanthan gum. I now make scones with my own flour blend and I chose not to include xanthan gum in that blend because so many people react to it. I need to make GF scone dough ahead of time to be baked in a few days. Is this possible using your recipe? Have you ever tried freezing the dough and then baking the scones later? I have done it with gluten scones but not with GF scones.

Hi Norma, I have never tried to freeze the dough but I do freeze the scones if that helps! They warm through from frozen in the microwave and are just as delicious as when baked...let me know how you get on.

As I understand it- theres no gluten to overdevelop so you cant over knead. Theres no NEED to over knead.. and your scones look great but isn't that a fallacy?

You are correct. You can't over-knead gluten free products because there's no gluten to develop.

Mnrusty1 true but if you keep kneading & introduce extra flour that'll make them dry.
