1:34 Treatment for gluten intolerance
Gluten-related disorders is the term for the diseases triggered by gluten, including celiac disease (CD), non-celiac gluten sensitivity (NCGS), gluten ataxia, dermatitis herpetiformis (DH) and wheat allergy.[1][2] The umbrella category has also been referred to as gluten intolerance, though a multi-disciplinary physician-led study, based in part on the 2011 International Coeliac Disease Symposium, concluded that the use of this term should be avoided due to a lack of specificity.[1]
Gluten is a group of proteins, such as prolamins and glutelins,[3] stored with starch in the endosperm of various cereal (grass) grains.
As of 2017, gluten-related disorders were increasing in frequency in different geographic areas. The increase might be explained by the popularity of the Western diet, the expanded reach of the Mediterranean diet (which also includes grains with gluten), the growing replacement of rice by wheat in many countries,[4] the development in recent years of new types of wheat with a higher amount of cytotoxic gluten peptides,[5] and the higher content of gluten in bread and bakery products, due to the reduction of dough fermentation time.[5] However, a 2020 study by the Leibniz-Institute for Food Systems Biology casts doubt on the idea that modern wheat has higher gluten levels. From a seed bank, they grew and analyzed 60 wheat cultivars from between 1891 and 2010 and found no changes in albumin/globulin and gluten contents over time. "Overall, the harvest year had a more significant effect on protein composition than the cultivar. At the protein level, we found no evidence to support an increased immunostimulatory potential of modern winter wheat."[6]

After years of not being diagnosed correctly, I met with an allergist and found out I have a very high allergy to gluten. Every since my life completely changed. I did cut out most breads and gluten containing products. However the other day I ate some Chinese fried rice and the pain is still here. I found out that most Chinese dishes contain gluten. It's best to avoid gluten in general to manage your symptoms and avoid the pain. It only gets worse the more you aggravate your condition. Wishing you the best of luck!

It is REALLY important to get a proper professional diagnosis by a specialist doctor. I am Coeliac and also have Dermatitis Herpetiformis which is an intolerance to gluten. It took fully 2 years on a strict Gluten Free diet before the last lesion disappeared. My weight went from 50 kg to 85 kg during that 2 years. I had to lose weight and am now 73 kg. I am on a strict GF diet for life.

Having a sore stomach all the time is serious imo. It puts you in a bad mood, seeps your energy away, and inhibits your ability to concentrate on tasks when you have a sore stomach / bloated digestive track. The question is: what can you eat when you have mild gluten intolerance, mild lactose intolerance, and hemochromatosis? It's like the trifecta of worst things for your diet.

I have lactose and gluten intolerance. I consume cheese and not other milk products and that is satisfactory for me. I also eat gluten stuff just not so regularly. We have fewer options but you don't need to torture yourself just to avoid gluten.

I have lactose and gluten intolerance. I have developed both in the later stages of my life like 4 years ago by turn. I first cut milk products and didn't really miss them because I can still consume cheese and that doesn't affect me, but if I eat ice cream, oh boy- that will kill me for 2 days with pain. But usually not the same for gluten. I have been diagnosed with gluten intolerance because I had an acne break out on my face due to inflammation and doctor told me it is due to gluten. So I had to switch to a completely gluten-free diet all of a sudden, which was the hardest thing ever for me because I was living alone and I didn't know what I could consume now. I started my diet and cut all the gluten, sugar, alcohol, processed food, snacks, and drugs for 1.5 - 2 months. And I must say it worked. Since then I am trying to keep my habits but I am consuming gluten now, just not all the time. I still eat my pastas gluten-free but I eat burgers once a week with normal bread and it won't kill me. When I consume gluten a lot, I still have inflammation visible on my face. At that time my mind was so sharp, now due to gluten intake I am feeling dizzy and tired all the time so I decided to have 1-month long gluten-free diet for cleansing. Hope it works out again.

INFLAMATION! I am gluten intolerant and the only obvious symptom I have is arthritis and severe back pain. This usually takes 2-3 days after consuming gluten to notice. When I was young I learned to avoid certain products like egg free pancake mix, wheaties, wheat chex, grape nuts, etc.. because they made me feel yucky. But that was decades before I heard the word gluten.

It sounds like you're experiencing digestive issues when consuming certain foods like eggs and cake, and you suspect it might be related to gluten intolerance. While gluten intolerance is a possibility, it's essential to consider various factors and consult with a healthcare professional to get a proper diagnosis and guidance on managing your symptoms. Here are a few things to keep in mind: Gluten Intolerance: Gluten intolerance, also known as non-celiac gluten sensitivity, can cause digestive discomfort when consuming foods containing gluten. Gluten is a protein found in wheat, barley, and rye. Symptoms can include nausea, stomach pain, bloating, and diarrhea. However, gluten intolerance doesn't typically cause vomiting. Possible Cross-Contamination: It's essential to consider the possibility of cross-contamination with allergens or foodborne illnesses. Sometimes, it's not the primary ingredients but cross-contamination that can lead to symptoms. Check labels for hidden sources of gluten, and make sure food preparation areas are free of cross-contamination. Food Allergies: It's also possible that you have an allergy to specific ingredients in cakes or eggs. Eggs, for example, are a common allergen. Allergies can cause a range of symptoms, including nausea and vomiting. It's crucial to identify any food allergies you may have through allergy testing. Consult a Healthcare Professional: To pinpoint the exact cause of your symptoms, it's advisable to consult a healthcare professional. They can conduct tests and evaluations to determine if it's gluten intolerance, a food allergy, or another digestive issue. Keep a Food Diary: To help your healthcare provider, keep a detailed food diary where you record what you eat and your symptoms. This can provide valuable information in identifying the triggers of your symptoms. Elimination Diet: Your healthcare provider may recommend an elimination diet to identify specific triggers. This involves removing certain foods from your diet and gradually reintroducing them while monitoring your body's response. Remember that self-diagnosis and self-treatment can be risky. If you experience severe or recurrent symptoms, it's crucial to seek professional medical advice. Your healthcare provider can guide you in identifying the underlying cause of your symptoms and developing a personalized plan for managing your diet and digestive health.

Experiencing cramps, constipation, diarrhea, and skin flare-ups after consuming gluten could be indicative of gluten intolerance or sensitivity. These symptoms are common in individuals who have difficulty digesting gluten. It's advisable to consult with a healthcare professional for a proper diagnosis and guidance on managing a gluten-free diet to alleviate these symptoms. Taking proactive steps to avoid gluten-containing foods might contribute to an improvement in your overall well-being.

It sounds like you might be experiencing gluten intolerance, where consuming gluten-containing products like bread causes discomfort and pain. While it can be challenging to give up foods you enjoy, especially if they trigger unpleasant symptoms, managing your diet to avoid gluten may significantly improve your well-being. Consider consulting with a healthcare professional or a registered dietitian to explore alternative gluten-free options and create a balanced diet that meets your nutritional needs while minimizing discomfort. Making informed dietary choices can contribute to better digestive health and overall well-being.

No wonder people often don't seek medical help thinking assholes like you might dismiss it saying mere 'complaining'.
