I have written in one of your video that nothing ever worked in my hair. Recently after watching this video I bought a bottle of glycerine and oh my good God I wouldn't know how to start thanking you for God's answered prayers through you. It's summer time and I hope that it will also work wonders in my hair during the winter..I wash my hair and then spray mixture of water and glycerine in my hair and then seal with blue seal vaseline.. Thank God for giving me breakthrough through you. Be blessed sister
@@yoloxoxo4042 we are all different with different heads of hair my dear. Blue magic was catastrophic in my hair. I used all different types of blue magic but it didn't work on my hair. I live in north Europe and it's very cold now and I realised that glycerine does work in my hair only during summer time. I tried it now that it's cold but was loosing my hair. It doesn't work for me in the winter. Now I used almond oil and blue seal vaselin which works wonders in my hair. Leaving my hair silky and moisturized for days. We're all different.
I use an aloe Vera juice, distilled water, and glycerin with a tsp msm powder for two weeks then a flaxseed, rosemary, glycerin mix the next two weeks or sometimes I’ll just do green tea or black tea, or lavender tea with a lil aloe Vera juice and glycerin whichever one I feel like making for that wash day or whatever my hair is going through. The tea is if my hair is shedding the other two are for moisture and hair growth. and moisturizing routine. They all work wonders but I use glycerin and aloe Vera juice in every spritz and seal it all in with castor oil and I’m low porosity.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for this video! I can't wait to try it out. I have been "natural" for 13 months and have been VERY DISAPPOINTED with the texture of my hair. This is not how my hair used to feel pre-relaxer. I have tried so many different things in the last 13 months to moisturize my super thick hair. It looks nice but it feels like straw and I hate the feel of it. I am so excited to use the products that you have suggested! Thank you again!
Hi sis. I've watched your previous vid about glycerin as a humectant for moisturizing hair. It did wonders for me. Thanks a bunch ❤️ Although, you mentioned tucking in your protective styles to retain that moisture. I want to ask if cornrows can help retain this moisture? I also think cornrows save you the stress of tucking because of the nature of the style.
What style are you having your cornrows? If it’s a bun style which you can then tuck in the better. Untucked ends dry quicker than tucked ones. Hope this helps 🥰
Thankyou Sista . I love vegetable glycerine.. yes it's so sweet.. I do eat a bit Too.. I love using glycerine in my skin .. just with pure distilled water... And for my hair. I love using it with egg honey, and banana.
@@DancingAndPraze Mix it with a little Water First, at around a dilution of 1:1. This is same if you wish to apply to hair, otherwise it can be too sticky. It's best for the Water to be either finely filtered or of good quality, such as pure distilled (sold as reverse osmosis water). or high quality naturally sourced water.eg pure deep spring etc. This is to prevent nasties like chlorine and floirinde which are in tap water entering the skin and hair follicles. Glycerine improves the absorption effectiveness of other product's into the skin as well. Glycerine is often adde to skin creams and commercial beauty products as it' it renowned for its ability to help improve skin and hair condition. It may also help improve the absorption effectiveness of nutrients such as vitamin E, fatty acids, oils,eg coconut or Argon Oil, butters, eg Shea or Cocoa butter, So it is a good idea to use Pure water mixed with glycerine to improve skin and hair Health. Good luck!
I'm back to report that I tried vegtable glycerine, a quarter size amount on my low porosity hair two days ago, and I luv the moisture that's still holding. I've tried everything, and yet my hair just couldn't keep moisture on a day to day bases. #Salt-n-PepperHair @Yeah 😉
I can't wait to try out this glycerin for hair moisture, 1 ratio of glycerin to 5 ration of water. Will be back here to give my feedback after trying it out. Thank you for the video
What are your favorite leave in conditioners? And how do you balance your hair with protein to prevent over moisturizing? I live in the USA. I have high porosity hair and I’m afraid of glycerin because it makes my hair look like cotton candy.
Here is a video on glycerine rich leave ins. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SrovNBwsp5w.html Am yet to find my absolute favourites but so far mielle avocado moisturizing hair milk is my top one. If you wear your hair out in curly styles glycerine is not a great idea particularly when applied in a water spritz. You can still use it by selecting products that contain it in mid or lower section of the ingredient list I use a protein deep conditioner from Shea moisture interchangeably. JBCO strength and restore mask. I also use briogeo don’t despair repair conditioner for strengthening. Bare in mind it takes a lot to over moisturise our hair. Hope this helps😊
@@CoilyDiaries Gm, I enjoy ur info moisturiser for dry hair and how to keep it I have lost a lot of hair due to dryness as i came from the UK to the Caribbean and knew nothing about how to maintain my then locs in a different atmosphere dryness and damage set in then depression cos as u know how us women treasure our glory crown So that being said ur info is simple and obviously works and that's all one wants 😊 Soooo Thx for ur transparency May God continue to bless u❤
Girl come thru with the fro! 😍 healthy head of hair love it. So I’m low porosity…What if I don’t mind the constant dampness is there any other negative using the veggie glycerin on its own?
I think keeping your hair in a damp state all the time is probably not a great idea for the ovarian health of the cuticle and also bacteria. Using glycerin on its own could feel like honey on your hair( sticky goodie, and attractive lots of lint dirt grime etc)
Thanks for the video Please how often do we hydrate and moisturize our hair in a week to help retain length. Please how long do we carry a protective style
I think you have to see how long it takes for your hair to dry and go back a couple of day. that becomes your routine day for moisturising. I do it once a week but can go for two weeks. protective styling depends on the style and how you care for it. 1 month minimum and 3 months maximum
Hello Sis, Lovely hair, educative video you have here, well done. Am a low porosity natural, i live in Lagos , Nigeria. I would like to try the glycerin and water to moisturize my hair, so at what point do I need to add heat to my hair. Is it after spraying the warm water and glycerine mix, or after applying my leave in conditioner or after the castor oil ?
Hi. Your videos are soo good. I just got my glycerin in the mail!! How much do I use please? 2 tbs to 16oz of water? Keep the goodness coming. Thank you.
Hi sis I heard it’s wrong to use a humectant like glycerin during winter as there’s no moisture in the air so I’m wondering if you also use it during dry season
I have heard this aswell but so far I have used it all through the year and have had good results. also, consider chemists that make glycerin rich products. even when glycerin is in the top 2 or top5 of the ingredient list, non of them caution us to not use the products in dry seasons. All my research scientifically also does not support this theory. that’s why I used it in all seasons😊
Okay, so I have all of the ingredients but I want to know if the glycerin, water, leave-in conditioner and castor oil ( my chosen oil) are to be added into the spray bottle or only the glycerin and water?
@@CoilyDiaries So, I just used the glycerin and water and put on my heat cap for an hour and I am SHOCKED at hot soft my hair is. I was NOT expecting that! I love this glycerin. That’s something new for me. THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS TIP WITH US! GOD BLESS YOU!!!
@@CoilyDiaries will try. but the static charge it gives to my hair...aaahhhhh🥴😪... Very depressive. Every time i comb my hair,i experience extreme static 🥺
