The video was a real treat! The start when you sprayed penetrant in the center shaft and swiveled it back and forth to loosen the bushing was Priceless. The bushing removal tool was key also! Thank you So Much! Now it's time for me to rebuild my S10 front end! Thankfully I have a good full size press, a 2 post lift, and 30 scfm air compressor, and all the tools needed to do this rebuild.
I have never seen someone use a press to remove bushings, normally it is an air hammer, the way you did it is much cleaner and way less damaging to the control arm. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for your AWESOME video. I bought the very same kit shortly after watching your video and after watching a review of the tool in another video. Last night, pressed out the old bushings from the uppers on my 74 Olds Omega within minutes and no blood was shed. THANK YOU for your video! This toolkit was a blessing!
That’s awesome to hear. I have seen some guys burn them out and cut them out, but that looks like way too much work. The tool makes them super easy to do. Consider subscribing if you haven’t already I have a lot more videos to come.
@@dakotasclassiccars7246 Hey, good to hear from you. It's the middle of winter here in Winnipeg, so the Omega will be sitting till probably mid-April before it sees the road. It is all back together, few things to finish up. Your review of that tool was epic and made my decision on whether or not to buy it very easy. I've now lent it out to another friend for his 1970 Nova ... hahaha. | Oh, before I forget ... we even managed to use the tool to replace the 'lower' bushings too. Wasn't as smooth as doing the 'uppers' but we made it work. You saved us A LOT of time and money!
@@chevynovaca I have a quick “shorts” video on the other tool made for doing the lowers. It is very similar, but a bit beefier than the upper tool. But same concept. That’s awesome. I plan on doing a full suspension video soon. I have every single parts to replace on my nova subframe so that will be a good one.
Thanks for the video nice work I have that tool never used it. After seeing this I am going to buy all new rather than rebuild. both arms loaded with all new parts 145.00 for the pair. Again thanks for showing me that I don't want to do this.
