@@MotorScotti No mines in the tank. I committed the Sin of cutting a hatch so I can get easy access to it without having to drop the tank. Best Sin ever...lol.
@@hephaestus4587 I assume you also had to cut the hardlines of the sending unit and insert rubber lines in order the turn it and extract the fuel pump out of the tank, right?
I did yes. I used a brake pipe cutter so there was no swarf. That and the croasfire injection only runs at 13-15 psi so a single jubilee clup is sufficient to stop them blowing of under pressure
i had to do very similar with my crysler 300 disassemble put in a bucket with gas and oil two-stroke engine run backwards to loosen it shake and lightly tap the pump gently then change polarity test pressure if the pump stil work its ok
Good procedure. The only issue on the third gen F-Body is the fact that you have to remove the tank to access the fuel pump. Even at that it's quite painful. If it could be accessed without the tank removal, the whole thing wouldn't even be worth mentioning. 🤣
To my eyes, that isn't enough damage to that hose for it to be the culprit. Honestly, those fuel pumps are infamous for failure for one reason or another. Fuel Access Door in back would be a good call if you don't have one. Also, may wish to consider an Aftermarket Upgrade with the Fuel Pump. The GM Ones are trash in my experience. Good luck buddy!
