I think the muffler delete by itself sounded better than the others.

The Borla ATAK would probably sound the best without the resonators in my opinion.

That is officially the quietest Borla ATAK exhaust ever.

I ordered the Borla ATAK 400844 for my 2021 GMC Sierra AT4 (6.2L) and had a local muffler shop install. They installed the muffler differently and also removed that stupid flapper valve. However, the long tube extension is toward the front of the truck and the ATAK muffler is more toward the back. Not sure if that makes a difference. But, the truck now sounds meatier! There is a mild drone at highway speeds but NOT a deal breaker. When you get on it, the vroooom is there. Back off on the throttle, and it sounds like a stock truck with a mild grumble. I contacted Borla too. They said this part number is NOT recommended for stock (non crate) engines. Huh? I guess they want everyone to buy their cat-back exhaust systems. Kinda weird they would say that since a lot of us are doing muffler only swap outs and want to keep the resonators, etc-etc. Thanks again for doing this video!

Hope to see one of these trucks with the Carven R Series Exhaust. I think that would sound like a Monster.

Muffler delete was the best. But I would delete the muffler an resonators if it was mine 😂👍👍

I think IMO after market exhaust companies are a rip off when you can just cut off the ugly muffler cars have to get the full sound of an engine. That’s just my opinion unless after market exhaust systems offer an increase in power and and muffler deletes decrease it? if not just pay 100+ dollars instead of 1,000 after labor.

All 3 sound the same on my phone. I guess those cats really soak up the sound.

Its funny how the 2 trucks that paid for a muffler have a tiny sound, and the muffler delete sounds louder and more agressive .

I have a 21 Silverado trail boss with the 6.2. I had the stock muffler swapped with a Borla atak, been having it like that for 6 months now and I’m thinking of removing the resonators. Do you have any vids with that setup or what’s your thought?

Why do those 6.2 denali's need resonators with a 42" bomb casing for a muffler? with those resonators you couldnt tell the difference between any of them if you didnt know!

Whatever you are recording with is dampening the sounds of all them. I have a 2019 GMC Sierra Denali 6.2 with a deleted muffler and flappers. Mine is way louder than this video portrays. But guys seriously, with the price of the Borla Atak, and the Flowmaster, it literally just costed me $40 at my local muffler shop to delete the muffler and flappers, and installing a straight pipe. Go to my channel and you can hear a before and after. Nice trucks though!
