Same here. I went with the Bridgestone Dueler A/T tire 295/70 R18 tires (10 ply, not winter rated, but excellent in the snow-ice) with Fuel 18" offset wheels. The ride is smoother, traction better, quieter, and no rubbing.
On the windshield wipers, it just depends where you live, because in Canada it's too cold that wipers don't last. Tires I changed them in less than a week with a quieter tire. The inside lights they are not bright enough, we'll said Don, that you need to turn on the cell phone light to see better. I can name a lot of things that are annoying on my truck.
After experiencing my wife's '17 VW Alltrack backup camera vs my '16 Colorado's, VW does it right. When it snows, mine is an unusable snow encrusted mess. Hers is cleanly tucked under the rear VW emblem, and is clean when the emblem tilts up when you put it in reverse. We've never had to clean her lens - I wipe mine every time I walk by the tailgate. I want this set up, GM.
Hahhaa...so true. I just replaced my windshield wipers. They were shredded. I went with Bosch and got a 2 for 1 deal. Awesome blades. These GMC thin seats! Ugh. I have a memory foam automotive style pad on mine -- but so much for air cooling now (butt heating is slower when using a pad). Another "pet peeve" I have is the steering wheel offset. It is "cantered" toward the door...not aligned straight. In earlier models, it was worse. Your left arm extends longer vs your right arm while driving. I went to a car show and sat in a 2023 Chevy Silverado Denali. The seats are still thin, but it looks like they improved the steering wheel canter a few millimeters. It is better but, still off center. The dash and screen layout is sexier too. I laughed with your mirror spotlight. Hahaa! Great video Don...
1. A real man should never let the wiper fluid run out. 2. Don't want the tire noise, Don't buy the AT4. 3. You are correct on the auto lock. If I get out and walk around, it locks right when I reach for the passenger side door. 4. Wipers should be changed annually depending on your environment. 5. Seats could you a little bit more cushion. First world problems. Keep up the good videos.
😂 I NEVER let it run out. Just low, I am not a savage! Always have a jug in the truck too. Only the 18’s have the tire noise. The tire used on the 20” rims are quieter but much less aggressive. It is a funny and exaggerated take, that’s all.

One more... Just got mine two weeks ago. Love it so far.. I live in Florida and have plenty of sun. The sun has hit the trim on the interior console three times already and almost blinded me. Right around the cup holders.
As a fellow Canadian, I'm doubting your claim here bruh.. What Canadian doesn't drive around with a box of wiper fluid, especially in the winter refilling at every fuel stop 😁.. As for your other issues.. I have 22 AT4X and don't have whistling and my park sensors are decent in the winter, my other vehicles are a 1000x worse...
I just picked up a 2019 at4. I had a 2015 f150. The ford wiper controls are far better. I have to take my hand of the steering wheel to push the washer fluid button as its set back well inside the handle. ford has a button on the end of the of it so you can keep your hand on the steering wheel. also, the wiper controls are available 1/2" inside the lever big thumbs? why not be able to turn the controls without the stationary fixed end cap . My gmc app is so buggy wont start the truck.and if you have a trailer hitch attached it should not allow you to fold the tailgate thinggy. :) otherwiuse i love it Cheers

If this helps, I had the same problem with wind noise on my passenger side of my 2022 High Country. Took me forever to figure it out. Then one day I decided to pull the mirrors in on the highway. Pushed the button to fold them in and noise went away immediately. Hope that helps.
A few frustrations I have with my 2021 AT4. 1) The timer on the bed lights is fixed. I have a bed cover on and the default 30-60 second timer is only good enough to see where things are at in the dark. About the time I start fishing stuff out they go off and I have to hit the remote over and over. How about a control on the Infotainment that adjust how long we want them on? 2) Infotainment / Apple CarPlay auto switch. There may be a setting somewhere but I have yet to find a fix without completely disconnecting my phone. When I am sitting in kid pickup lines and listening to the radio and browsing my iPhone, any iPhone content with audio causes my truck stereo to switch from the radio input to my phone. 3) Volume level sticks on main dash LED. Randomly my dash LED (between the tach and speedometer) will stick showing my volume bar. I can turn the volume up/down as normal but the display will stick until the truck is turned off.
Interesting issue with the parking sensors? Do your other cars have that issue too? Can’t say I’ve ever noticed as issue with any Audi I’ve driven. Only bring this up because I need a truck so the car’s got to go.
Stiffer seats and more bolstering on the 4X4's. Those silly guys at GM think people will actually use these things off road. My new Silverado ZR2 is defiantly not as comfy as my Avalanche LTZ, but then again, it was built for a different purpose.
@@Donslife More whiny old guys about the seats. I've made several 5+ hour continuous trips with no issues or pain. I'm usually one to have back pain issues too! The interior lights do truly suck! I added lighted visors to my 21 Trail Boss Custom and was disappointed that the lights were so dim. Could have saved the money and just put brighter interior lights in instead!
Did the wind noise start before or after the install of the pod lights? I owned a ford f150 and the bug knocker on front of hood whistles. Just a thought.
Way before any mods. It is certainly my seal because I can jam my finger tips in there and it flexes the trim, moves the door out a little and it goes away
I had whistling on the driver side of mine and after searching found it was the mirror. It was not snapped together properly. After I clipped it in it's all quiet again.
I believe they recommend you replacing the rotors and pads every time now. But I’ll just be replacing my pads. I’ve done some research about it but would love to see the process. I know there are wear sensors involved with both front and back. The rear also has to be put in brake service mode do to the eLectronic e-brake.
