Let Riddick sit out. It would cost him millions, and the Jets would still have him under contract in 2025, as per the CBA agreement. They're both being stupid, but Redick has the most to lose.
im no jets fan but the ownership needs to win on this im sick to death of these overpaid children sitting out and crying for more money. Go Big Blue baby
How are shows like this missing that he agreed to play at this current contract amount before the trade, and then he went back on his word? I say: let him sit a whole year and lose his salary and be a year older without a contract.
What’s going un talked about, purposely I imagine for the narrative, is that he reportedly agreed to play for one year before the jets traded for him them backed out and tried to strong arm them.
Sorry....Reddick is nowhere close to the 2nd most imp player on the Jets...You know nothing about the roster...he is a great player, but Sauce, Q, Wilson, Breece, etc...all much more imp to the success of the team. Terrible take....do some homework.
"Whatever happens, I’m gonna be happy. I’m gonna give my all no matter what that’s just who I am as a person. No matter how it goes, how many years, I’m gonna be here for however long I’m here for, and I’m going to give the team and the fans everything that I have," Reddick... Lying @$$ mofo 😒
Right or wrong fair not fair doesn't matter. Players come and go and teams move on. But the players risk millions by holding out. Who has the leverage? The side with the deeper pockets. Much deeper.
Dumb analysis from these guys. There was an agreement that they'd guarantee the end of his deal and add more, the agent thought he had leverage and shifted things to this point. Reddick hasn't played a game for the Jets and is about to be 30 in September. At this point, it would be nice to have Reddick there, but that Defensive Line is still a top unit without him.
