Everything in this video hit me hard, I miss coming home from school everyday to watch my favourite machinimas and the yogscast play around with random dupes. One person I'll never forget in my entire lifetime however is Kitty. A true articulate genius. May he rest in peace.

Gmod is really a unique game, it can really be anything, it combines many games together and puts them into one. And the best thing about it, there‘s no objective yet there’s a lot to do in this game, you’ll never get bored with all those gamemodes and addons on the workshop (just ignore all these Inkling OC dupes and you’ll probably be fine)

Gmod was my first ever paid game I played on steam back in 2014. It's where I met 90% of my steam friends even though I was young and they were around the age I am now (17) we had so much fun messing around on darkrp. all the people I met on gmod were truly fun to play with and I wouldn't have it any other way. without gmod I might not have been into gaming and might not have met as many cool people online as I have now. everyday after school I would hop on gmod but recently I've dropped it because none of my old friends play anymore. It is and will always been a great game in my heart and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone looking for a fun game to play.

Hell, within the year we are going to have a successor to it from the same studio. So here's to another sixteen ❤️

Dude when I got gmod 10 years ago that was the first ever public server I played with a friend, I loved it so much it was LITERALLY the only reason I stayed around the game so long. Gmod was my first steam game back in 2011, and it's the only game I've crossed the 1000 hour barrier in, almost at 2000 now. Many late nights were had experimenting with toybox (and later workshop) addons, messing with the admins on DarkRP, and more recently making stanky Machinima's à la 2009 RU-vid. I hope the original game doesn't get abandoned when s&box comes out, it deserves better than that.

Sadly , im a new player in gmod, i know gmod in 2019 and i got the game in 2020 . I really love sandbox games so i love gmod so much. I always play singleplayer in gmod. When i ask my friends if they want to buy the game so we can play together , they decline my offer and they said that gmod is an old game and they dont want to play it. Its kinda sad thou but- i still love gmod , i can do whatever i want in gmod . And also the sad thing is i discover gmod in 2019 so i dont really know a lot of youtubers play it , and so im happy i found another youtuber that still plays gmod in 2020 - 2021 :DD ! please keep making these good gmod vids bud ! keep going !

My biggest gripe about serious RP is it usually doesn't have enough content in it to warrant playing. RPing without content is very difficult.

I love gmod, I like watching your videos and others’ and laughing at all the crazy stuff the game has to offer. and idk if it’s me, but I find it can be difficult to build things. There’s so many props that I find it overwhelming sometimes, and building can be a bit confusing... but maybe it’s just because I’m not that experienced at it. But I still love it! And the community can be toxic at times, but the other half of the time it’s really fun and everyone is chill. Also, this was a good video essay thing, you should make more!

This channel is incredibly underrated, I love your work and how much effort you put into showing that Garry's Mod is not dead. I still play it to this very day with friends and I always end up crashing the server with a thermonuclear bomb. It's not just Garry's mod, its popularity now makes it everyone's mod.

Garry's Mod used to be a huge part of my life. Back when I was 12-15 as I had very little drive, social skills and was young so I didn't have much to do, yet I still had this drive to be social and learn about how to improve myself in some particular way. Gmod's various RPs allowed me to facilitate this drive; I made many friends, learnt alot of useless skill & information and have 1000s of hours worth of memories that I although admit it wasn't the best time spent, still remember fondly. I remember The COs I would listen to and somewhat idolise due to my young age, friends I would build up DarkRP bases and gun shops with, the cool events for the various RPs I had in my head that I would've loved to turn into events on the servers I played on, with even me now still thinking of new and cool events like these that would be compelling and engaging, without the idealistic wonder my younger self have. Gmod was part of the core that made me the person I am now, which although I'll admit I could be far better, I don't necessarily regret.

I "contributed" to the community with an improv mashitama and uploaded it like 8 years ago, it has 8 deserved dislikes but I had a lot of fun with my friends making it, one guy recorded, another voice acted, another narrated and voice acted, garry's mod really is a blessing!

I got gmod 2 weeks ago and haven't been able to play for half of the time but I've still sunk almost a day of my life into it. And that's in sandbox singleplayer alone. Just goes to show gmod's limitless potential.

Well made video mate. I stumbled upon this video just today actually! And after watching it, it brought me back to the good old days of Garry's Mod. As a former Garry's Mod RU-vidr, I've had a lot of experiences, both good and bad with the game. I even got to meet and work with some of the biggest GMOD RU-vidrs, including Zuthar. I actually did a retrospective on my channel recounting my experience with Garry's Mod throughout the time I played it, inspired by jschlatt's 'A Tribute To Minecraft' if you wanna check that out. I only started playing Gmod around the end of 2017 and just a few months later, I was already into PAC3 then Wiremod soon after and progressing ever since, this game is literally the best for creativity despite it's old physics limitation and graphics, which in it self is part of Gmod's charm. Awesome video.

As someone who wasn’t even alive and most people are gunna call this cringy but as a child gmod was a major role, I bought in way later then the rest but still experienced what everyone else did. But one thing that brought it down was the lack of players in the last couple of years. Hoping gmod 2 lives up to it’s potential

I first knew it in 2015 and bought it in 2016. I've spended a lot of hours making npc battles, scenes, and finally uploading some addons which I still proud of. Great game, well it's more than a game, it's a set of games all in one, it's simply just great. Thanks for the video mate, despite of having a lot of videos with millions of views I feel that Gmod doesn't have too much recognition for what it is.

I genuinely think that the endless potential of gmod makes it my favorite ever.

Firstly. Holy hell, how did this video got on my recommended just now ? Secondly. I been playing GMOD since 2016 or 2015. Found it by watching Vanoss and a hungarian youtuber called GMST. I had and still got a lot of fun from it. Firstly playing on singleplayer and later on RP games. Found you by searchig up "fallout gmod rp" and you were impressed me. I didn't really liked minges before i found your videos. (Except Jameskii's videos about GMOD minging) PS: Sorry if i messed up something on this commet. Not a native english.

I still remember playing old garry's mod as a kid. Those old DarkRP maps where all the doors are interactive by pressing a button from the inside. They even had shops everywhere to RP with, such as one map had a Pizza restaurant where you push a button to spawn a pizza from the oven.

I've played gmod since like 2015 and it was the very first game I ever bought on steam. Got into it also from venturian tale, pewdiepie when he used to play with cry and some others. This game molded my childhood and I still play it to this very day. One thing I don't think you mentioned is the bonds you can form in this game. I have met people which I hate to this very day and which I hate to my very core, but apart from that I have made lifelong friends which I still chat with to this very day and have played on servers (usually SWRP) which I thoroughly enjoyed my time and even feel nostalgia towards. P.S. Don't worry, i wasn't *that* guy on starwars rp that took everything seriously, i always made it my character or plan to always be chill and not take everything seriously and that has taken me far.
