@@zer0527 some of them definitely play along. i mean if a guy starts punching you in real life, the ,most obvious conclusion is to get angry and fight back lmao. same if a policeman starts following you around and abusing his powers. if youre a thug youd probably kill him.
@@doggerlander i mean like instead of freaking out and shrieking failrp bs they just behave as if someone really did just say/did whatever shocking thing just happened, yknow?
Hey, it isn't all that bad. I just kind of find it bad he was using an OC, now that's some real cringe right there. He is a pretty small minority in the fandom. Most of the time I would say 90% of the fandom isn't like that. But I do see the irony of MLP and such mature themes, but it does pain me that people can't see past "Little girls show" and just write a lot of us off as weirdos. Sorry this was an experience for you and thousands of other people, but most of us aren't like that, and I do hope you see this as the exception and not the rule.
0:13 it's hard to insult someone for being british when they're australian, but it's even harder to insult someone for being british when you're roleplaying as a MLP character while also being a man in his 20's.
Australians earned the right to make fun of Brit’s when they became more civilized, based, and less crime ridden then the Brit’s who sent them to be a prisoner colony. But yeah, bronies are cringe
The Nazi RP servers are the weirdest. It's like they played the first 5 minutes of Wolfenstein, where you are trying to blend in to Nazi society, really liked it, then they got bored when you pull out a gun and start shooting.
I like how the bronys try to act tough when they’re walking around as characters from a little girls tv show Edit: there is a very clear difference between adults watching like adventure time or regular show and then watching my little pony Mlp really doesn’t seem like it has a story They’re tiny horses and they exist Congratulations It’s just tiny animals to keep children from doing something stupid like trying to eat quarters or something A grown man being invested in something like that just feels incorrect Adventures main villain is a literal demon He is the embodiment of chaos and death Kids will think he looks cool but the older audience can pick apart the story and see just how intricate it really is I don’t think your mix and match dragon thing is meant to be anything more than eye candy for the target demographic Stop self reporting And don’t hit me with “when did I ask” you clicked “read more” in doing so you have asked
Imagine giving birth to a child, just to him end up spending all of his life in a 16 years old game roleplaying as a character from a Child's cartoon and telling people to kill themselves because they are british. Truly something sad and Funny.
"that fucks with the ping of the server" oh man, this brings back fond memories of instantly crashing darkrp servers by spawning an ungodly amount of wooden chairs very fast
There's a funny level of irony behind the fact that the RPers stop RPing as soon as someone does something they don't like - going on a killing spree or police brutality, yet that seems to be the most real part of life.
I hate this the most out of these servers. They refuse to problem solve in character. Which seems to me like it would be a fundamental part of role playing.
Idk g-mod but at 3:38... couldn't the nazis just... shoot him or something without having to call an admin. There are deffinetly some in-character ways to deal with a crazy man that just decides to sit on the paper work table thingy as someone working for a hyper-authoritarian regime. If you want a "IRL equivalent" , David Hampson is an individual known to just sit in one specific spot in the middle of the road untill police arrests him , go to jail and once released immediately go back to that spot has never said a thing during this whole ordeal.
or anime avatar. Or gmod in general nowadays. I just quit playing unless its on a friends server. Everything good about the community is dead now. Its just autists and furries
0:17 "you need a therapist or something" the man says, roleplaying as a pony from a cartoon for little girls with an inflation fetishist standing directly behind him. The irony is thicker than oatmeal.
Imagine that in the actual series. Hey Applejack I need your help. No way you city slicker. Y'all better get off of my property or big bubba will handle you.
Stuff like sending unsolicited nudes is sexual harassment, so you can actually sexually harass someone on the other side of the planet. This is not what was happening though, obviously.
@@F0rev3r.B0red Well the game they play on, Garry’s Mod, is 16 years old and the majority of players are in their 30s and a very small percentage are under the age of 18. It’s one of those games kids only play if their dads get the into it.
1940s roleplayers when you won't be serious in their "100% totally for historical purposes" nazi server (its ok they're only Pretending they TOTALLY aren't Actually nazis)
Seeing the anger seething out of people is hilarious But what I like is what you did to the horse people. There is so little context given that I'm not sure if you are just trying to make them mad or are _genuinely_ trying to help them, and I'm not sure which I find more funny
@@vvvega58 this is why kids need to be supervised whenever they go on the internet. If I ever have a kid I'm checking to see what they are doing whenever they use the internet
6:27 says "you're dogwater, you're fucking shit" whilst using a VIP/Custom job with a one-hit weapon and higher HP than average players lol. He probably mains that "Yoda Hulk" job because he's bad at everything else.
wouldn’t matter if he had all that stuff or not trying to flex your skill on a game with a real low skill cap is still sad. i don’t understand how people pvp on gmod and have fun
@@iCookCrystalMethSome mods can make combat super fun, and the high player speed makes it a good arena shooter. In this specific situation, though, it’s pretty sad to brag about winning a fight
I once went on that server. I made everyone angry. But I had a special application on my computer which made me unbannable. It made the admins so angry and they literally quit and I made fun of the whole server until they emptied the whole server.
Because by adapting to the role of a criminal, for example, you gain a possibility of harming everyone else's fun by disrupting their roleplay. They want to pretend to be other people for fun, and it'd be difficult to pretend to be an entrepeneur or a baker if someone is just killing you constantly. To engage in healthy roleplay, there needs to be rules set so that there is no disrespect between players and everyone has the capacity to have fun. If you want to roleplay criminals or serial killers, you can! You just have to find a server where there's rules in place that allow you to take that role without stepping into anyone's toes.
@@starpegasusgamer8561 No see heres the problem, so you put a mechanic in your game mode that lets you break out of flimsy handcuffs, you than make it a server rule that you cant do that. RP servers actively seek to self sabotage by making it against the rules to engage in the gameplay they put in the game. If they dont want people RDMing maybe they should take out the shit that enables people to do it. Or if they were smart theyd know that shooting people is the fun part so maybe incorporate that into the game mode in some meaningful way and make it fun.
It's cause it's a serious RP server, they probably deal with more mingers and dicker arounders than any other server on Gmod does. Dude's probably used to it at this point lmao
There's something ironic about when you join a lot of these servers and the admins are walking ERROR textures. It's like the game is trying to warn you.
roleplayers are some of the most easily angered people on the planet, you could literally just do *one* thing and they'll get angry like bro if I was on those servers I'd just laugh my ass off and help the trollers
I remember entering the Harry Potter RP. I had no idea where to go and I was suddenly sent to this place outside the castle. Then a guy gave me this tough act. I didn't have a mic, and I was bored at that point, so I left. Since then I promised me not to go to RP servers, they are full of cringe.
fans in fandoms are pretty chill, but do NOT go on RP servers, especially VR ones. I've had extremely unpleasant experiences and im supposed to be one of them lma
@@6-dpegasus425 Yes. Other servers in Gmod, no problem. I've had very chill times in them, specially cinema servers, where everyone is just watching a cool movie. But RP servers, man... They are something else.
@@AbuHajarAlBugatti Yes. Cinema servers exist. It's a map of a cinema where you can enter different rooms, set up a screen and put a movie; or join people already watching one. Is it illegal? I guess so... But I didn't care back then. I haven't been on those in a while.
@@kaiservenom270 it’s illegal but morally grey at worst, you could compare it to piracy, or you could compare it to showing friends a movie at your house
5:00 "I will literally get you warned. I'm admin" and how calmly he says it cracks me up every time. He actually thinks that's some kind of authority that people should respect. Look at this man with his cowboy hat and little fairy wings, that screams person of respect right there
Anyone who takes this seriously, it's literally Gmod, funny ragdoll game that you are supposed to kill eachother and have fun, not be a stinky boy who screams rdm and admin
I mean, people can roleplay whatever they want as far as I'm concerned, but.... Telling someone you're a loser as pony doesn't quite pack the same punch, does it?
Man these vids are like a blast from the past. I tried playing RP back in the day and I just didn't get it, sounded like a bunch of kids with admin powers whining about anything. But you've twisted it to make it as funny as possible. Good stuff!
RP is great in games that _encourage_ it in some fashion, MMORPGs are the obvious example but one I also enjoy is Sea of Thieves because the game can be just as much about playing a pirate as a character as it can be about getting loot and sinking ships. You meet a lot of crazy people in that game, some just genuinely out there and others putting it on as part of their in-game pirate's character. The thing is once you extend out of the scope of games made with RP in mind it goes downhill immediately. Because it's mostly going to be populated with the people kicked out of (actually) serious groups and, well, whiny _children._ Because most of the competent and respectful RPers aren't RPing in those sorts of games. It's kinda like tabletop, people interested in tabletop roleplaying are playing D&D, Pathfinder, GURPS, etc. not Monopoly.
@@DuskEalain sea of thieves is a terrible example, that game is just frustrating, rp isn’t fun when 90% of the playerbase you end up interacting with is “roleplaying” as assholes who want to make you lose hours of progress while taking more time and effort then it would’ve taken them to get the same loot on their own leaving you the fuck alone
I've been playing on a WoW private server for RP and it's nice. You don't have admins or moderation, so everyone is on an equal footing. You have to come up with your own characters and settings. Most people also can take a joke, haven't gotten any shit for playing light hearted and comedic characters either, never been yelled at for "fAiLrP". Gmod RP is really just cancerous, what most people do there is lightweight rp and power tripping.
cuz there's rules of engagement in the server that are out in place to prevent people from just killing everyone they see on sight (not very fun), and to promote interaction between the players
@@mysteryY2K why not just prevent it completely it would prevent some specific interations but for the mayority of stuff its still playable Or here fun fact: Stop bitching about it
