I like the idea that Arlene cheated on Jahad, having Jahad originally being justified to hate Arlene and going to far as well as having Arlene not be a 100% good person but definitely punished way too hard for what she did and V being the real victim
To put my own take On cadeo’s Gnosticism theory I feel like the tower itself has a will of its own (something that mention in TnG) and that the administrators are there to carry out that will. So the tower itself could be the evil god that trapped people in it and the administrators carry out there will because when you think about it administrators provide tests/trials to prevent people who are climbing the tower from passing from floor to floor thus trapping people in it and when the 13 (maybe 14 who knows at this point) warriors entered they were sent by the outside god to free the people in the tower. But, when the administrators saw how the warriors were climbing from floor to floor and seemed as though they wouldn’t be stopped one of the administrators offered a deal to Hagar making him king thus keeping people trapped within the tower. This is just my own take on cadeo theory if it’s true
I think the red witches are quite literally enryu in the flesh. Maybe when he was raining down his red shinsu he was creating them with his own power which is why the guides are so knowledgeable about everything, because they are literally a being from a different dimension or something with crazy powers. But thats just a theory a Anime theory
One of the twin in the death floor is be able to see the future after saw Enryu, and Red witch Guider's ability is be able to see the future so yeah i'm pretty sure they all are Enryu's creations

There’s another theory I think has been discussed : I think Baam is not a savior figure in this story per say but instead his actions will bring chaos and disrupt the establishment thereby plunging the tower into war. This can be supported by both Rachel and Jahad’s comments about Baam’s presence in the tower not necessarily being a good thing. Then I also think Wagnan will be opposed to Baam once he learns the truth about himself after the journey Karaka set him on. I don’t have a basis for this one but Wagnan is supposed to be very important so it would be cool if he has his own goals for how the tower should change which might not align with Baam’s
Spoilers for recent chapters: Just to add onto your theory the navigators crossroads describes baam as “bringing a buried calamity to the tower” and that “it was not supposed to be you originally” referring to when he entered the tower.
@@iandunn3676 Awesome! If you’ve noticed ever since the Nest, in particular the fight with White. A certain aspect of his character changed, at first I thought he just became confident in his power but subtlety it’s bordering on arrogance. Just look at the dialogue around the time he met Leviathan. That’s the first (correct me if I’m wrong) instance where he outright states he is going to devour something. I don’t think he will become a megalomaniac but I would be surprised if this devouring aspect of his power doesn’t have consequences.
It would be pretty interesting if the red witches were created in a similar fashion to how Gustang can create "people" from scripture. Given that it's speculated that Enryu can create life, maybe he's actually able to create real "people" and Gustang can only create "shinsu people" or whatever you call them. Maybe Gustang somehow learned this skill from Enryu? Might be far fetched but would be interesting.
Finally got around to watching this video and all I have to say is interesting, purely because when I first read one or two of these theories on the discord I saw some flaws and didn't necessarily agree with them but with the way you explained them Joe I understand them a bit better now
Jahad is a demiurge becoz he has crafted this floor test system, originally if you want to climb the tower you need to take the test from the administrator
Jahad "doesn't" have children but has princesses. But what if Rachel is an actual daughter of Jahad but for some reason she got her power taken away and the "Jahad blood" that princesses receive to get stronger is actually containing the stolen power of Rachel? Why else would she be saying that she is "the one from the legend"? SIU wouldn't have delusion without reason as the answer to the main mystery of the story.
from ep 1 to ep 314 of tower of god webtoon something i put together from the hints given until now . if u know when garam reads arlenes dairy it was never said that she saw the stars and blue sky after going out of the tower,it was said she wanted to. rachel also said she wanted to see stars and the blue sky that person always longed for (to wangnan) so what does it mean, it means even after arlene got out of the tower she never saw stars or blue sky ,also rachel was with her as revealed here but rachel also doesnt seem to have seen star so what does that means ,it means they were always underground although out of tower but underground.in first chapters when rachel went to see bam in cave, she said to bam that today they will go see the mountain on the west side ,bam says to her its not a mountain but rachel replies that she has never seen that much big cliff and the outside might be bigger than we thought.so they had never seen the real outside but she knows how big a cliff is so maybe she is referring to inside the tower ,they are just between outside and the tower where there is a big mountain and a big ravine . it was mentioned arlene tried to find a way to outside for a long time and then found it maybe the cave bam was in is the other route to the outside . so the question arrives what happened to arlnene ,did she suicide .she couldnt in tower bcuz of immortality contract but now she was outside of the tower so now she can. or she took this route to outside and left bam to rachel . if its the later then maybe thats why rachel want to see stars bcuz she wanted to know why arlene abandoned her for the stars ,whats so special about them. but if its the former then that explains why she said to bam he took everything from her. bcuz i think when jihad killed bam ,arlene didnt just put a spell on bam bcuz she thought she can resurrect him out of motherly love and sadness . no ,maybe it was more of a real thing like she saw something in bam when he was killed that she though he can be resurrected like some kind of power, but v thought she has gone crazy thinking she can resurrect her dead son and tried to stop her from doing anything like that ,but arlene killed him maybe or he thought it was all bcuz of him and killed himself to let her live freely. i know what garam told us was different but maybe it was a lie . anyways arlene knew her son can be brought back ,so she give her all to find how and she did found how and it was to offer her son to the outside god , but it needed a sacrifice and she sacrificed herself for her son . it would also explain why she call bam a monster cuz in those days when she tried to find a way to resurrect him ,she found out many things about him .but somehow the outside god cant be contacted in the tower thats why she had to find a way out of the tower .it was said arlene was good in spells and she used some mysterious spells in the group of 12 who climbed the tower. so it shouldnt be very surprising she know a spell to contact outside god then sacrificing herself and offering her son to outside god to resurrect him. but it couldnt be done to normal people bam has something special in him that allowed this technique to resurrect him. so this is how bam was born on the 25th night .thats why rachel told him he took everything from her. arlene left bam in rachels care and died. so how did she found how to resurrect him ,its simple she saw his destiny and wrote that in dairy . if u see clearly she said the gods power will resurrect him someday and he will take revenge for her love etc these sentences which garam found in her dairy ,arlene wrote them before she got out of the tower cuz if she wrote it after she got out, anne zahard would have never found it then . and many people know about arlenes prophecy other than garam so it means arlene not only left her pocket which garam found but many other things also which tell the same tale. so is rachel from the outside ,my answer is no she was maybe a maids daughter who was born outside , so that means arlene took some people with her and there was a maid also who was pregnant and gave birth to rachel outside of tower . if u look clearly rachel said she cant take bam with her bcuz only chosen people live there ,but she was not in the outside world so where was she going then where that light was coming from . that was the inside of tower but the area of outer tower. if u know any person can live in outer tower and middle area .but only chosen people can enter inner tower. rachel can go in outer tower but cant go in inner tower cuz she was not chosen .bam could have also gotten in outer tower but rachel lied to him that she cant go with him. if u see in the first chapter bam and rachel were going somewhere , but it cant be outer tower cuz rachel never took bam there . so it can only be outside of tower. when bam asked her where she was going she said she said she is going in the tower . means the path they were taking was leading them to the tower gate my speculation is to get in tower the people outside of the tower has to go on a specific place and if the tower choses them they can enter if not they will die there .but it not like u have to go to the end of the path but just walk on it and tower will choose u eventually . like with bam they havent gone to the end of the path but were still teleported inside the tower . so maybe thats also how jihad and his companions entered . it can be there were many people but only those 12 were selected and automatically teleported inside the tower and the left ones were not selected . like we usually think that they were originally a team of 12 no maybe they were more than that and they walked the path for a long time until eventually 12 were selected. if that is so then that means there is actually no way to get to the outide world from the cave bam was in cuz the path to the outside world is never ending and will never end even if u got outside of the tower ,u will be stuck forever walking t that path so arlene only did this just to contact the outside god and not to go outside world . anyway it was a long story that i just wote maybe its all wrong maybe some will also be true but whatever it is the story will continue .thank u. and also i forgot to say this but i think the painting of jihads symbol in bams cave is actually the symbol of outside god and jihad is somehow related to him. maybe just like wangnan is jihads prince , jihad is the same to the outside god
I think Rachel is the other half of balm..the baby was cut in half. The god brought the baby back. Balm got the power and the good traits rachel got the memories and the bad traits..they are 2 parts of a whole being.
for the gnosticism theory. Jahad could be the demiurge because if i remember correctly when the 13 great warriors were climbing the tower it was filled with robots and wherever they went they spread plants so Jahad could be the creator of organic life in the tower and not necessarily the tower itself. if im wrong let me know im really bad at remembering tidbits of info from this series.
I think Genshin has ruined the word "Gnosticism" for me like some kind of war flashback XD If we go by that logic, does that mean the Irregulars would be Descenders/Outlanders? And since the Shinsu pressure gets higher as you climb up doesn't that mean the characters are actually climbing down instead?? (Kinda like that Spiral Abyss theory)
I think the demiurge could be macseth. We know of the ancient “machine civilization” along with the fact that the workshop existed before jahad entered the tower as well.
arlene seems to be quite an .... interesting woman, wonder if she is also related to the beef that traumerei an gustang seems to have but don't even remember, that would be even more funny. if i made any mistake in associating stuff forgive me readers, i have been reading too many other stories right now ahahah and binged the last 75 chapters of TOG in a couple of days ahah.
Since you mentioned the theory of red witches and Enryu having a connection, I have to say I don't really believe that particular theory, I'll share my reasoning in discord, maybe it will get some thoughts churning on different theories
Thinking about the "first man", the fact that in the beggning flowers and machines were all that existed in the tower, and the fact that some chapters ago it was said that "live sprout as they climb the tower". What if it means that humans actually doesn't existed in the tower until the great jorney?
quite funny that you made a video like that now, it is also been years for me too that i was trying to associate this type of stuff, alway tjought that rachel was related to rachele second wife of jacob and patroness of mothers who have lost childrens similar to how arlene has lost bam i think or something. the fact that she has the same qualifications as bam intrigues me if it goes beyond the simple irregular stuff. somehow it feels like icarus the pen name of the girl who followed V feels like arlene or another one but i think that icarus is a tower resident not an irregular and that rachel is a servant given the role to assist one of the important figures of the story. not sure how far have you read in 602 can't remember what it was ahahah.

To expand/piggyback upon the vagueness of Hidden Grove vs. the 10 Family Heads' children that you mentioned. The plurality/singularity isn't exactly specified in Korean, so the Hidden Grove could've killed 1 child of 1 Family Head(Traumerei specifically mentioned), 1 child of multiple FHs, multiple from multiple families, or multiple from 1 family(again, Lo Po Bia being the only one we know for sure).
My theory: Arlene left the tower with her dead son, but not alone, the female android called Icarus left with her. Arlene asked God to revive her son, but something had to be sacrificed in exchange, Icarus was made to give up her immortal and beautiful body for mortal human body and thus she lost all of her power and became a weak ugly girl, Rachel. When Baam was revived, Arlene realized that something was off with Baam - that he became a monster. Furious, she cast Baam away and forced Rachel to look after him as a slave. At one point Rachel decided to flee her predicament into tower in order to get her power back and to leave Baam behind, but Baam followed her like a bad reminder of her sacrifice and so she began to despise him.
Saw a other theory saying maybe baam ate arlene from the result that arlene came in the cave when she was crazy and despised him so much baam power activated. Rachel heard about it too , Why because if you remember well the first meeting was her coming with knife because she was scared of baam . Still baam repeated this situation by killing peoples in the cave when a person noticed rachel was coming in it ( chapter 24 or 25)
