The original solo fits the song perfectly - it has a lot of feeling and a powerful melody. This sounds like just another one of Slash's overplayed improvs.
Come on this song is about 5 minutes on the record and the live version is usually shorter about a few seconds and if they played longer it'll probably be less than 6 minutes
In one of this earlier shows, the solo is much slower, & takes its time to get to the faster moments of the solo. In this one, Slash just starts playing fast, as if to get the song over with, or he just forgot the solo & just started improvising. Overall, not his best performance, but far from a fail.
I love Slash but this is when he'd better put his own ego aside and play the original Finck's solo for the sake of the song as a piece of art. The original solo was a story that the guitar was telling. It was simple and emotional. Genious. This is just an above average Slash style guitar noodling. Too bad
Yeah. Slash being back to GnR is great for the fans and all but for this aprticular song, slash solo is just disgusting, in the bad way. 1000 times prefered the ashba version.
It's nice to see this I Love's slash style, but in fact the solo isn't stable. It's less stable than when Dj was playing solo before. It's not appropriate to modify the original finck solo, but if you play with your own stance, you'll probably not have to deal with a few sanctions.
Povo chato do caralho!
@@JBotts Who? Answer: Robin Finck. Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Mr. Robin Finck. And Slash embarrasses Robin every time Slash butchers another Robin Finck solo Live
Cano Kimyager I swear some Slash fans will just defend anything he plays. Look, I like Slash, he’s created some beautiful iconic solos but come on man this one is just all over the place. It has no structure at all, it’s clearly improvised noodling for noodlings sake. DJ Ashba used the original as a template and just made a few slight changes, I wish Slash would do the same.
Are you fucking deaf? He fucking murdered the solo. There is no emotion, just meaningless shredding. I wouldn't even call this shredding. Who does he think he is, Buckethead? He sucks. Finck bends him over and fucks him like a tapir.
