No!, they immediately got to work, deployed Danny Jordaan as mayor, who since his arrival has almost eliminated corruption, that is the kind of organisation the ANC is, it does not grasp at straws, it is a transparent, reliable and honest organisation, the ANC does not make promises it cannot deliver, it has given more than 10 million people shelter since it took over in 1994, more than 90% of all South Africans now have access to water and electricity. You speak of Zimbabwe which is a country very different from South Africa, it is different in every respect. Although both countries face similar challenges such as inequality, poverty and unemployment (which is as a result of both countries being colonized and sucked dry of its resources) these two countries have responded very differently to these challenges, for instance to the land reform issue, millions of Africans were dispossessed of their land by the colonial masters, in South Africa the Constitution dictates that the “illegitimate white owners” of this land must be paid large amounts of money for land they stole!, and the ANC government has honoured this constitutional imperative. In Zimbabwe land was simply taken away from the settlers, which led to all kinds of problems such the food security crisis, this is but one of many different leadership styles so do not ever compare the two because they are different. When the ANC government took over in 1994 it was faced with the staunch challenge of overturning this state of affairs, furthermore the country avoided a damaging civil war as a result of the ANC, since 1994 a lot has been done, today we have a constitution which is said to be amongst the most liberal in the world, everyone has access to education, there are even fee free schools at primary and secondary level, the number of black graduates since 1994 has more than doubled, hundreds of hospitals and clinics have been built since 1994, which has directly led to the increase in life expectancy of South Africans. Try as much as you want to justify the unjust system of apartheid and its illegitimate creators, but everyone including yourself knows that it only brought doom for South Africa. The African National Congress which was established in 1912 was the first true liberation movement in South Africa and was created to fight the system of cultural, social and economic domination of black people by the settlers. Over the more than 100 years of its existence it has spearheaded the fight against racial domination , you quote organisations like the Azanian Peoples Organisation and the Pan African Congress, these which too had racist policies, who also believed that whites should be separate from blacks, they ultimately believed South Africa belongs to black people only and that the settlers should be shipped off their countries of origin. In contrast to this, the African National Congress policies were centred around multiculturalism and equality, the ANC had and still has a clear mandate which is not clouded by judgement and vengeance like the EFF and the PAC do. It however also does not protect white supremacist ideologies like the DA does (remember when the NP failed to win elections it found a home in the DA). The African National Congress still Is the only driver of transformation in this country and it is the only organisation with the policies geared at developing the black man.
