This TV is great! Great for movies, tv shows and sports. 4k movies are unreal. Then when it comes to gaming…..mind blowing! If you can get it for a cheap prices…you will be very happy!
I have the TCL c725 65inch QLED with the built in Onkyo 2.1 sound bar. It basically has most of the same features of this 98inch and I'm loving this TV. It blows Samsung and LG for what you get at an affordable price.

Awesome TV Jon - I almost bought one but was concerned at 63kg my wall mounts probably couldn’t handle it - so I went for a Sony 85” X95J and love it so far, brilliant TV

@@benf99 Really? I'm in Melbourne and looking at JB HI-FI now and it's their 2021 model currently at just under $6K. The one reviewed in the video was the 2022 version. Hence probably why it was a bit more expensive. If you got a link to the 2022 model for just under $4500 in Australia, can you pleas share? Perhaps another dealer here has it for cheaper than JB HI-FI? Thanks.

they couldn't have designed the legs ANY WORSE. The TV will only be able to be placed on a shelf that is at least as wide as the television. Many TV has a central stand or legs that are slightly more towards the middle
You are right. I am not buying this because of the legs. I wish it had central legs or even slightly in the middle to aacomodate my existing tv rack cabinet at home
@@TheBAT69 With a tv this size you build the room around it...not whine about any existing tv rack to small! Buy or build a new tv rack that accomodate the tv. You don´t hide your GF or wife because she´s pretty 😉
Several years ago I told my bride that I was going to buy a 100 inch TV when they come out and under $5k, but I think 120 inch TVs are 2 years away with 8k and within a year of introduction, they’ll be under $5,000 so I’ll wait, but this is cheap for a big TV
I'm watching this 11 months later and now the TV is selling at $4,998. That's a crazy drop in price. Much more practical now. EDIT: Now going for $2000 when on sell😳

Really what Tcl does by offering all these beautiful specs, gigantic sizes and at such good prices deserves all the respect and appreciation. Don't ask me why because if you search for these specifications and these sizes of alligators Sony, Lg and samsung you will need to sell your car in order to buy it 😅
It's around 5000 USD here in Saudi Arabia.. but am not sure if it's a different model.... here its 98c735 Or maybe the US model have more features 🤔 that will explain the price range... my concern about gaming and sport is it good or not
Looking in here in Australia and that model is the 2021 version (one in the video appears to be the 2022 model, I'd hope there wouldn't be too much of a difference). Currently $1000 AUD off on sale at $5995 AUD (or just under $4200 USD).
for the price of this thing and how crazy big it is I think you need a theater room for it !! I think at this point I would be into a 4k projector on a 100 inch + screen for a lot less money and weight!! easier to upgrade a projector than try and sell TV that size in 5 years😱
This review appears to be for the 2022 model (98R754) which appears to be still at $8500K as per your link. I'm seeing the 2021 model (98C735) offered here in Australia on sale currently at $1000 off at $5995 AUD (or just under $4200K USD). Would you happen to know if there's any HUGE difference between the two models that would be worth waiting for the 2022 version to come down in price? I mean, 2023 will probably be coming out later this year, in which case the 2022's would be coming down. Would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks.
2022 98C735 is basically the European version of this tv. I got it on employee discount for about 2450$ a couple of weeks ago here in Norway. You should be able to catch a good deal on this TV later this year also, probably around November.
Hi please help I just got the 98” TCL S5 s class new led tv.I love it !!! Wish I can send u a video. It took 3 person to mount on wall looks awesome the pictures looks bright enough and good on hdr streaming looks pretty clear for the price. ONE ☝️THING my concern is why when the TV is on all black screen or blacked out on videos it’s 4 corners or grey cloudy 🌥 spots???? Maybe that’s what they called dirtyscreen effects DSE or blooming?? Is that normal will it get worst or is it a defect??? I would hate to take the tv down and exchange it. Please HELP!!!!!! Thx
I am getting this tv, this exact model. 98'' it comes with 2 years labour and parts! Then I would make sure your home insurance or a company that insures for accidental damage or tv internal faults to cover it further after the 2 year TCL warranty. Finally TCL are marketing there tvs better, they have been stagnant for years. 2023 is the year they start selling !!!
In fact, I don’t even think you have to buy it from Amazon, just pull up that company, I think they’re called osarion or something very similar to that. And they will still sell you an extended warranty.
@@RedLeo-pf9yo I'm in the UK. We have quite a few retailers that have it for sale. I currently have LG C1 OLED 65 inch. The picture is superb and colour. But bigger is better. Getting all setup ready for GTA6 next year. I think most home insurance cover damage to TVs these days also. It's cheap as a 98 inch TV from Samsung or LG would be like £8000± in UK. absolute bargain of a TV.
How fast to start up and the response of the TV. I have android 85 TCL and it was so slow. When you accidentally turn it off, you just need to wait 5 mins until back on. The apps are so slow to response and voice response is useless.

How's the viewing experience of 1080 p video in such a big screen ? Because all the contents are not really available in 4k ( especially tv channels) also does it upscale the contents automatically?

Hi, please help me to know how to disable HDR and or Dolby vision on this TCL 98 inch TV, I tried left and right and could not, even could not access the secret menu since this is Android OS. Please help 🙏🏼
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME A FULL MOTION MOUNT THAT FITS THIS STUPID TV?? Distance between bolts that mount arms attach to is 34". Not compatible with any full motion mounts I can find online. So ridiculous TCL made a giant TV that doesn't fit most 100" TV mounts 😡
Why review a TV that hasn’t been available for purchase for several months now? I’ve been trying to buy this from Best Buy, since May. I emailed TCL and they don’t have an ETA on the TV.

There have been reports of TCL not being lawful with warrantys. People told TVs are not broke and TCL refusing repairs. Seems very amature, this on top of this is TVs problems, losing HDMI signals when PS5 and PC are wired to it. Dirty clouding. Check up before buying that's all I'm saying. See they have negative reviews on trust pilot reviews website. There customer support sucks ass.
