This was my first Go Fest and I had a lot of fun! Caught 21 shinies, Shadow legendaries I wouldn't have gotten otherwise, and my favorite mythical Victini, all with great IVs!! I normally don't spend money on mobile games, but I would never regret this experience! It was great being able to do this from home when I would've otherwise never gotten the chance to (health and financial reasons). Thanks for live streaming your experience as well, it was really fun to experience the event alongside you!

I wished there were more spawns that would be “usable and rare” like gible. There could have been more gen 5 spawns, maybe timburr in the wild, you know something besides litwick gible and darumaka for an entire day. It just feels like a shiny fest rather than a Gofest to me. Still fun had a good time, but that would be an enjoyed improvement

Like the last 10mins of GoFest I ended up catching a shiny Gible in the wild.

Sadly only got 6 shinies from the event, luckily i hatched a shiny riolu right after it ended

i know many people had connectivity issues and didnt enjoy the event but I personally had a blast I got to do it with my sister and for me it was more about the experience then the amount of shinies

To be honest i was very underwhelmed with the shiny rate. Even though I got 20 shinies over the 2 days (playing all 20 hours with no breaks lol) I feel like grinding just to get 1 shiny per hour was pretty tiring considering this is Pokémon Go fest where the shiny rate has been insane in the past. Also I wish you could turn off the grunts..it was very annoying to try to click on the spawns or spin pokestops and the grunts keep getting in your way. Overall I believe it was a very fun event but I just expected more.

I got like 3 shinies while participating the 2 days with insence, shiny checking, while in a city for the second day. 2 of them being duplicates & 1 an unown (thank God for that).. I'm not angry. Just disappointed.

For a guy with 2 young boys, school , full time work and so many other things on my plate. This event was worth every penny and more. 1st of all I truly doubt I would ever be able to travel and play a Go Fest event that requires traveling. 2nd of all I was able to play with my little kids as they helped me catch the Pokémon through out the day. 3rd I was able to get a little snippet of the experience all the hard core traveling Pogo players experience. Lost a Goudon through remote race due to server issue, but to even get a chance to raid with others was dope. Good job Niantic. Ty Nick for the great content and keeping us updated always.

I’m so sad I was excited to shiny hunt and after 3000 or more encounters I only got three shinies the entire event

I personally didn't like it that much... here are some reasons, why: - After four years, it seems they still haven't learned and their servers still couldn't handle it. - If you actually played at home, without any Pokestop/Gym nearby, you ran out of Pokeballs before day two. - I only got seven Shinies (six in day one, one in day two) although I pretty much played the whole 20h. - My dad on the other hand got three Shinies on the 2nd day - two more than me - and he didn't even have a ticket. - Pokemon spawning from incense are more aggressive and annoying to deal with than the normal spawns. - There was no big difference in spawns etc. for players with the ticket and the ones without. - The Special Research was short and besides the Three Birds and Mewtwo rather underwhelming. There's probably more, but I'll leave it at that. It's not that I dislike the entire event, but this event surely confused me. There was just a tiny bit extra for the ones who spend actual money and most of the event was for everyone although they didn't pay for the ticket. So why the ticket in the first place? For that tiny bit of early access to Victine etc.? The game was unplayable at times and not just because of the servers, but also because you run out of resources without any Pokestop/Gym. I see there are a few people that got >10 Shinies and great IVs for there Shadow Pokemon and so on, but those seem to be some lucky exceptions and not the rule. If they do the same thing next year (I hope everything will be fine by then and this doesn't come back though) I won't bu the ticket, because there was no 15 Dollar worth of rewards in the event. All in all, personally rather a let down than "amazing". For 15 bucks I expected more than two little special researches... but maybe I was just very unlucky with my spawns and IVs and so on...

My partner and I went out during day 1 & 2, played all 10 hours, and collectively we got 4 shinies. I feel like I was ripped off, the research wasn't great and was far inferior to every GoFest thus far.

The real gold of this stream was the about 5-6 minutes (maybe) where Nick disappears from the stream to do "redecorating" - the autograph banner in the background. All you can hear is the noise of rummage and Nick struggling in the background - meanwhile, sirens is heard from the street outside - as said, the real gold xD

You and I have very very different opinions of amazing.... Played the game for 8hours ×2days, walked 30k and only got 7 shinies.

Everyone is out here complaining about 5+ shinies and I'm here excited for my 3.

With Go Fest a month away I felt the need to reminisce past Go Fest videos

Yeah there were issues like lag or downtime, but I paid $15 for something that would have cost me thousands of dollars (travel & accommodation from SG) had the world not been in lockdown this year. And that to me was way worth it. I got to experience what I hadn't since the Sentosa Safari Zone, caught shinies, hung out with friends (safely for the first time in months), and hung out with you guys through your livestreams at various times, since you (Nick), Rev and Zoë were all on different timezones. I'm really looking forward to this global gofest thing being a staple even after everything is fine. So we can have a choice to play it if we are unable to make the journey to an in-person location. Maybe less special things for the online play so as to encourage people to still go to the in-person events but have it there non the less. Thanks Nick for all you do, really loved seeing your reactions to your shinies and unexpected things happening. Been a supporter for a long time and will continue to do so. Peace ✌️✌️

Played for 10 hours. I got 1 shiny. My friends list didnt load for half of the first day, the first day was very slow, the raid invites were pretty broken and they didnt do anything for rural players that would help them get the experience everybody else was getting. I give it a 5 out of 10 for execution. Wasn't quite worth the $15. The shadow Mewtwo was the only thing I felt worth the whole event. I am glad you had a good experience I was worried nobody did.

I absolutely love this Go Fest!!! Just amazing! Me and my girlfriend had a blast and I got 39 shinys and she got 32. So happy!

Home GO Fest was amazing! Especially if you didn't play 100% from home. Only took roughly an hour break both days, was otherwise out playing. I hope they provide this option again next year. Well worth the time and money!

"Go fest was amazing" yeah.... no. For some maybe, but if the event is full of bugs,if Niantic pulls a dick move with "Team Go Rocket" and all Shiny rates have been unfair - it's only amazing for some people. It was cool,but not amazing ,let's get that right.

Although the game was laggy and crashed at times when other countries joined, i still found the event fun. It's highly unlikely i'll get to go to a Go Fest being disabled, and over the past few months the game has been made accessible to me. I know it's called 'Pokemon GO' implying that you go outdoors and adventure, but from someone who used to play it all the time to someone who can't go outside anymore, it's horrible losing out on all the events: community days, hatching eggs...Go Fest brought that to my house, i caught 18 shines across the 2 days, i had some duplicates, but i still find it exciting when i get a shiny, and the chance to get the regionals, unowns, candies for rarer pokemon, the shadow birds - in my opinion it was worth it because these are things i wouldn't be able to access myself, i'd have to rely on other people to catch them for me and trade. It was a fun event, it's not all about the shiniest for me, but if you were hoping for loads of shinies then i can see how it was a disappointing event for most, but i still think Niantic did a good job and i hope they do something similar in the future for us who can't get out to the events :)

No, it was not amazing for everybody. In fact it was very poor for a lot of us. Make sure you ask a broad cross section of players before declaring it an amazing success. Stand up for us, your supporters, not Niantic.

I envy your shiny luck. My highlight was a shiny Chansey, and then my Go Plus got to it before I could throw a ball at it and it got away. Aside from that, this dude literally caught every shiny I was searching for and didn’t find. At least I get the joy of knowing my Shadow Mewtwo was better.

I think for most players expectations vs reality wasnt met. I do feel their frustrating on paying money, and shiny rates being lower than expected even when playing full 20 hrs. with that said this weekend was fun if you made it fun, how you chose to spend it, who you chose to share your experience with over the Internet, or IRL is what makes the game. it is a game, and with all that's going on in the world, was nice to have a little adventure. stay safe out there ya'll. Here's hoping 2021 we will all be able to be in person again and experience the true Go Fest

So lucky. Bought a ticket and then work scheduled me to work nights on the days of GO Fest, so i had to sleep all day for both days of go fest. It would be nice if Niantic would make raids and events last a full 24 hours so that people that work nights can also participate

I had a lot of fun and over both days ended up with 18 shinies. The ones I am most proud of is the Heatmor and Seviper since we do not have them in Sweden. The shadow/victini day got me 4 legendaries with the iv-span from 82-87 with the most precious Mewtwo with an 87 IV. Just have to get around 230 rare candy and an elite charged TM for him :) A little sour that the incenses just lasted an hour this time, was hoping for at least 3 hour since the lasted so long at the safari zone's for you. Hope that they will do this type of event more times since I do not have the founds to travel to all these events. God video Nick and please stay on RU-vid, not only twich, since you are the best trainer to follow.

Noticing a continuation of youtubers doing really well catching shinies. 8 hrs day 2 and 2 shinies (1 shadow shiny and 1 raid shiny). Day one was better with 5 ( Finally got my shiny arcanine! so happy). I hope every one had fun though.

Why is everyone so exited for the shiny Gible, and not me. I hatched shiny 100% Gible for a year ago and i have noe like 3 gible and one Garchomp

30 shinys. Plus a lot of other cool shadow and new Pokémon. Seemed worth the price of admission to me. I know a lot of others had a less than satisfying experience

I got a total of 10 Shinies between the two days, including Unown O, Durant, and Alolan Marowak. I had a lot of fun with this, I wouldn't mind them doing GO Fest like this next year as well. :) I feel like they won't, provided the global situation improves (and make no mistake, I hope that it does), but this is far easier to prepare for, the first GO Fest I was able to actually participate in. In previous years I'd have had to make travel arrangements, take all the necessary time off, all of that, but for this I only needed to take a Saturday off from work. It was convenient, it was fun, it was a really cool experience.

19 the first day at a park walking to make it like chicago. 28 the second day hunting gible. 0 gibles but helped a friend get 2. Cool to see it from someone stationary have good luck. Raids felt like bait to waste time IMO but it was fun being invited and seeing so many friends active all across town!

Got 18 shinies playing in NYC! Unfortunately no Unown but I did get 2 Gible and a Durant which makes up for it. Had a ton of fun, here in NYC there were a ton of people out, I only managed to stay out for about 4 hours before it got too hot and spent the rest of the time inside. I hope Niantic continues a similar format because I would definitely buy a ticket again.

I had a great time watching the stream! Caught 11 shines myself :) Make sure you do make it out to Banff/ Lake Luise in Canda when you can! I'm from around there and it's not to be missed!

My GoFest was all "great but bad" and "bad but great". Had 3 objectives : Gible, Chansey and Tangela. - Got Gible while I was at work, in the research. BUT bad IVs, like every Gible I encountered. - Walked 35km (22 miles) without a single Chansey. BUT got it in my incense in the last hour at home. Was still unable to eat from my body being broken at the time, but I'm glad I didn't let go.^^ - Got 4 Alolan Marowak. BUT I already had it. - Got Squirtle and Charmander. BUT my favorite is Bulbasaur. - Got 4 Alolan Exeggutor, but not a single Exeggcute. - Got no regionals or bat or fishy. BUT I wasn't aware that they were all available (did check nearly all regionals tho, the Woobat and Qwillfish on the other end...^^). - All shadow legendaries, Victini, and 2 objectives (Shiny Gible and Chansey) were bad IVs. BUT they were still the highlight of this event for me. - Rotom. BUT only one form. BUT ROTOM!!! Missing a lot but who cares about my complete experience? We're here to share and discover others'.

I managed to get 7 shinies total between both days. I got exeggcute and poliwag the first day. The second day I caught qwilfish, heatmor, tangela, seviper, and a shiny shadow beldum. The last four I caught within the last 2 hours of the event on the 2nd day when I considered taking a nap because I was having such bad luck, and I'm really glad I didn't. With that said, kind of sad I didn't get shiny unown, but finally glad to catch those in general. I'm glad I was out briefly on the first day just to complete the raids, which I still had to use remote raid passes. They should have given those to us free on the first day, not in that box on the second. I'm glad I got to play because this will likely be the only Go Fest I get to participate in, but some aspects of it were disappointing. Day 2 was repetitive after completing the tasks, but had I not continued to battle Team Go Rocket, I would haven't gotten that shiny shadow beldum. Also helped me work towards my badge because I struggle fighting them normally. I was honestly annoyed though because I had Giovanni and Arlo show up before the actual grunts, and those did not count towards defeating 2 grunts, so I had to beat them again later in the event which was kind of annoying.

My first shiny was also an Unknown O. 9 Shinies over all and 3 hundos gible, fire darumaku, and Aloan Grimer. I hope that even when things go back to normal they do this for those who cant make it to the site for future years.

Congrats on all those shinies Nick, I got 12 over both days and my hubby got 7. Would've loved more Gible, either in raids or in the wild but I'm very happy with my shiny Unown G. It was great fun nonetheless.
