@@jqueendeluxe9747 it’s really just checking out Facebook everyday. I found a couple good ones back when I made this comment but you could always build one
@@colbybarbour9990 im a girl 😂 it might have nothing to do with it but because I’m a girl I have 0 idea about anything car or go kart related they just seem really fun to ride.
Those spacers are not for your ride height or at least not intended for it. When racing on a oval track (I don’t know anything about road course racing) you can shift your weight for going into turns by having more weight on specific spots. The idea is to have your weight shift to you FR allowing for more bite.
All I can find in Ireland is a few frames And a really old one that looks like it might run for 10minutes. On our Irish equivalent of craigslist called DoneDeal
Oh my I love these videos, please do more. I have an old margay frame from the 80s with a Briggs & Stratton motor, needs a new clutch but it's so much fun to ride. Can't ride much at
Lol it took me 2 years to find one that was the right price for how well it worked. One time I found one for $750 that didn't even work. The owner had another engine for it, but "it is missing a piston, though it might work". That's exactly what he said lol.
i want that exact frame.. its hard to find one that lets u almost lay down in it. i seen u race ur friend with it man i could tell how easy it was to handle ur drift and turns vs ur friends go kart just because ur almost laying down. dude a spoiler with that cart would make it so badass
very interesting videos, if you don't already you should start doing tutorials on how to change parts and things (just discovered your channel and watch three videos) anyway you earned yourself a new subscriber, keep it up :)
Jack Crown Thank you! As you've probably seen I made a "how to change a go kart sprocket" video. That's about it for explicit tutorials, but the builds we do often include how to do what we're doing (if that makes sense).
Jack Crown If you live in the UK and want a cheap gocart you shoud check Gumtree or Bargain Pages, I see them all the time going for cheap. Ebay also usually have lots but they always seem to cost more.
Nothing like taking a 02 phantom nemisis and taring the shit out of it those karts are still winning races to this day one of the best short track karts ever made
This looks friggin sweet, living in a small city in Canada it's a bit harder to find a cheap used kart all the guys here want like 1000+ dollars, but i have a question, would a kart frame like the one you have be able to support say a dirt bike engine...like a yfz 450 and how much work would it be to make it into a shifter kart?
I bought a 20 year old CKI Lazer racing kart for $350.00. A new motor, motor upgrades, tires and brakes cost me an additional $300.00. And now I have a fun, fast Kart. What's fun is, it doesn't break the bank to upgrade. So, just like you, I'm having way too much fun for cheap.
Hi I'm Caleb I race go karts the kart you have if you did not already know is a oval Kart it is a really old chassis and the reason it is off set is for wheight distribution and those bars that stick on the side are for mounting brakets for a body just thought you would Like to know that if you didn't already and the wide tires are for more grip in the turns
nice old racer been kicking it around for a while . just seen one up for sale for about 200 with two engine with it and their the cheep Harbert freight ones
growing up my dad had me into dirtbikes which was awesome and my grandpa fooled around with everything from go karts, dirt bikes to cars, etc. you name it.. now I'm 27 years old, know how to work on all this stuff, have money to spend of my own and have access to a shop and even a few Honda engines that'd be perfect and would like to build a kart like this but haven't seen any frames or anything on craigslist or anywhere, everyone wants an iphone or a tablet nowadays i don't get it.., seems like people are into street bikes, can ams, or atvs and they all cost an absolute fortune new or used and cant be fabricated.. what ever happened to cheap offroad fun?? its getting harder to do this kind of stuff, seems like there just isn't used incomplete parts out there like there used to be and that goes for dirtbikes too, which really sucks because you can get alot of parts for go carts and dirtbikes on ebay for really cheap, but when it comes to main parts like go cart frames for example that stuff is really getting to be a rarity, used to be common as dirt all day long locally, I could fab a frame but would rather find one used
): i cant find a offset frame Can you post a Video on how to build one? My father has been in the MovieSet Building Buisness for 30 years and he has tons of skill in framework and building,I just need a tutorial to build one exactly like this Drift Beast you got PLEASE!
I did it guys, got a custom made chrome-olly gokart frame from the 70s for $250. Fkxed it all up and put $400 into it. Now I got myself a flathead dirt track race kart
Tyler King No problem. I'm pretty sure it's a Gauntlet by Phantom Racing Chassis, and a 420cc Predator would not fit without heavy modification to the seat or frame.
First time i saw somebody driving a go kart on grass and with slick lol But buying a go kart without going to a circuit it's a shame, we can't use it anywhere ..
I bought a vintage go kart for £280 that’s been sat in a farm for 10yrs dormant it’s a Yamaha dt175 with brakes all round having trouble sourcing parts don’t know the brand name of the calipers don’t have brand name on the calipers or a part number so idk what I can do to find them same with the tyres the wheels are split rim tubes and tyres I’ve never seen that on go karts but the tyre size is odd size can’t find any company that makes them
Hey mate, nice vid first of all! I was just wondering what mods have you done to your predator? Did you buy a mod kit or just separate parts and install them? If you don't mind me asking how much did the mods cost you and where did you get them from? Also what gear ratio do you run. Cheers, Flynn.
Hey great video John. I want you to know I've enjoyed all of your episodes. You, along with others encouraged and inspired me to create. please take a look at my woodworking/junkyard building projects and send feedback! -Jake
I am still (extremely slowly) building my Kart. It took me a week to get the 2 rear "siezed" rims off, the Golf Kart 4 bolt rims and tires on. Could not find my spoon tools and Ibam so weakened I had to have a friend break the beads. I have a grand new 420 cc 16 hp motor for it (Although including all the time this is taking everything is new but slightly rusted.), which I may have to work on. (It still in the box.) The floor must be extendable and the steering completely able to fold out of the way. This is so I can rest/sleep inside it. My body is broken but I am just not willing to be put in some rest home. In fact, I am utterly against it. If I can get this set up right, I will be able to live on the road and take care of myself from the Kart. Being stripped of my drivers license this cart will have a setup allowing it to do about 6mph and then an off road gear of about 35~40. The 16 hp engine is so I can power up an airconditioner/generatot/welder & perhaps a drill press and small lathe. These will go inside the trailer that will follow me. There are many changes I am looking to do and while going cross country, I can gather parts. I have the solar panels to use more than 2 kw for electric power (If I can only place them well enough - on the cart and trailer.). They may require folding out while sitting to charge the batteries. I am jam packed with survival equipment, so I can just throw out an anchor about anywhere.
i live in the jackson ms area nobody has any old racing karts there are only the go karts with the roll bars on them. im thinking about picking one of them up cheap and cutting the cage of of them. I'm only 15 thought so i'll have to get my dad to help
zowi cuartas I understand that completely (I still am not sure what brand mine is). For brakes look at MCP if you want a high end system, or fabricate your own drum brake if you want low end. Axles and rims depends on the frame... I know some people on craigslist offer to build you a custom axle to fit your frame, but I don't know if you have someone like that in your area. As far as rims... what is your wheel bolt pattern? Are there three lugs?
I bieleve I have spindles in the front, and I just need to find axle. I'm out of Jacksonville btw, and the track here is free it's called 103rd, that's the whole reason I want to get into go karting.
I've really had no luck I live outside of San Francisco and every thing for sale is no where near your description I've checked ebay, Craigslist, and other sf forums. All of the kart for sale are either huge and really $$$ or cheap rusty frames, and the actually racing karts are like 3000$. Please respond THX for the help
Im a indoor go-karter and im twelve but im already teaching the other beginners how to drive sins i was 11 but i just can't convince my mom that i want to buy one... :(
Where did you get your steering wheel? It looks quite nice and really adds to the look. and is the "floor pan" just a piece of plywood cut to those dimensions? Thanks!
The steering wheel came with the kart, but thanks. The "floor pan" isn't as rigid as plywood. It seems to be a hybrid between plywood and cardboard if that makes sense.
Hey John, how did you find a beautiful kart like that? Was it a private owner, and what specifically did you search? I've been looking a long time and all I've ever seen is karts for thousands of dollars a piece.
How does the predater engine work since its pretty much a set speed with no trans. Because its ment for wood splitters snd snow blowers right? Please respond. I bought an old cart and it needs an engine, but don't want to spend an arm and leg
