The Doctor's accent at one point (Eeh bye bye gum) was a parody of a north of England accent.

I think the closest Doctor Who gets to zombies is the Ninth Doctor with Charles Dickens when the dead bodies are walking around. Episode 1.03 The Unquiet Dead.

I haven’t gone back to this one since it aired. I remember thinking it was ok, but could have been a little more engaging. Fun seeing y’all’s reactions though.

Ohw Garrett, you are in the 6th season of Doctor Who, by now you must know, no guns (unless it's River Song holding them) and no zombies. There is so much alienate stuff out there, we don't need zombies. It took my also a while before getting into this episode, but I appreciate the moral story behind it and we get to see Rory being Rory, and I always love that. Can't wait for the next ganger episode cause that's when * Spoilers *

kind of my least favorite arc for the season, always felt it was kind of slow moving and i just never found it interesting (just me i guess) but the idea is key for the rest of the season i guess (just was not my favorite by a long shot)
