GO Transit is the main public transportation agency for the greater Toronto area. Since operations began in 1967, it has become one of the largest and busiest transportation agencies in North America, operating 39 bus routes and 8 commuter rail lines. It is now operated as a division of Metrolinx, a Province of Ontario Crown Corporation that oversees various forms of transit in and around the city of Toronto. In this video, we will look at contemporary GO Commuter rail operations on several different lines. We will visit many different locations on the Kitchener, Milton, Barrie, Lakeshore East, and Lakeshore west lines.
