This is a new type of video I've decided to do and its about GO transit's past, present and future
Now the future part of this video is on what I think could happen due to there being little to no information on what new locomotives GO will get while electrification is being done, and the electric locomotives themselves, but its obviously not accurate

For a Londoner, England, having lived in Nova Scotia too long, GO Transit is amazing and I cannot wait to move to move to the GTA! Thanks for making this! Very informative!

10:22 The province has mulled on building the "Missing Link" to divert freight traffic away from Toronto, and into York Region. As you mentioned, it also involves double tracking some segments of the Galt Subdivision, potentially allowing All-Day two-way GO Service from Kitchener & Milton. It will also create new potential routes into Midtown Toronto.

The Galt Sub is already double tracked for the portion that GO Trains use The Missing link would also pose some problems, building not only the new right of way but new connections to existing subdivisions such as CP's MacTier sub, which is around the Humber river area. On the point of that river, theres only one rail bridge that carries one track over it and in this case since were building right of way for both CN and CP, that would involve building new bridges to hold 3 tracks, on top of a bridge off the CP portion of the Missing Link onto the CP MacTier. This project would cost a lot so I see why the province is avoiding it right now. There's many more problems with it but listing them all would kind of be redundant.

Absolute foamer. You do realize the CEMs are pretty bad for Railfans. But they're good for the crew.

Very good to see the old GO trains. I was an exchange student in Canada in 1978. In that year there was the lakeshore line (East and West) only. And the cars were the silver single deckers. Later that year, they started introducing the double deckers. Great to see how it has developed. I was in Canada 4 years ago and I felt a big difference from what the GO trains used to be in the late 70s when I lived there.

@@GamingRailfanner Am a big fan of the Go trains. They were very special to me in my youth. Whenever I am able to visit Canada, riding on the GO train is one of the things I must do.

You were right about go trains being boring now, when I film them it’s not as exciting as it was like 7-8-9 years ago.

@@GamingRailfanner The only thing good about it (which does not overcome the bad things) is that old cab cars are now much more exciting since you rarely see them. bad thing is that all of the other ones are gone and it's almost all CEMs now.

It's weird how not all of the bi levels have been repainted to it's intended Metrolinx paint sceme, it's been 7 years and seems like GO is pretty lazy.
