As a Federer fan, I have to admit that Novak is the GOAT. Also, his elastic streching mixed with fast movement makes it so beautiful to watch him play, like a professional gymnast. Absolutely marvelous.

In the future, looking at the history books Djokovic will undoubtedly have the best record of probably any athlete ever. Maybe in the future Federer will be forgotten, but there is something clinical, mechanical about Djokovic that is much less entertaining and less absorbing than watching the beautiful, fallible artistry that came from Federer.

I agree with your comment but not the bit about Federer being forgotten. Federer brought some flair to shot making that is rare. For example, you still see players hit tweeners but I find the ones that Roger produces more stunning.

I wish that everyone can realize how much of a privelege it has been to watch all 3 of these guys play, and not make it a competition on who's GOAT while belittling the others. Tennis fans have been so torn instead of just appreciating one another.

Few points i noted how the media shapes views perspective... -Put GOAT in title and put one person on thumbnail. -End the video with the same person winning the match giving him extend appreciation although that last point was reqular one. -Define greatness by amazing points won not by end result of all matches. Roger was an amazing player and still have huge fan following without any doubt hower unfortunately for him and his fans, Novak has left him and Rafa far behind in achievements in tennis history therefore i see this as a desperate attempt by Tennis TV to keep Roger and Rafa relevant in GOAT debate.

The guy who was 2-10 against Novak in slams after Novak turned 22? The guy who was 0-3 against Rafa at the AO until 2017? The guy who has a 30% win rate against Nole and Rafa in slams? The guy who has fewer top 10 wins and top 10 matches played than Djokovic despite playing 150 more matches? Federer was beating up on unseeded players and nobodies like Baghdatis for a long time. Look at the 2003-2007 ATP finals draw lol…yes Fed is one of the goats but his cas as goat is done and dusted.

This is why the GOAT race is irrelevant. We already have new generations that have mastered in their twenties what the big 3 mastered in their entire career. Even if they don't end up with the same number of grand slams, it does not make them any less evolved or skilled. Carlos Alcaraz has nothing to envy from those 3.

Honestly, even with Del Potro you were impressed, just because a player doesn't have a full career doesn't mean that you can't view them as dominant at the peak of their art. Some like me believe that Del Potro was on his way to number one. Without the injuries he was playing such a strong brand of tennis.
