In prior videos on this channel we’ve looked at the GOAT’s of both WWE and WCW. But what about the other prominent company of the late nineties, the one which served as the true punk rock alternative to what the big two were putting out. Well, that’s the promotion we want to look at today as it happens. Yes, it’s time to talk about Paul Heyman’s band of renegade merry men, Extreme Championship Wrestling. But who are the GOAT’s of this brand? Well, let's find out right now, and where better to start than with Tommy Dreamer?

ECW will always hold a special place in my heart. I used to buy VHS bootlegs of the weekly matches from a sketchy game store, because that was the only way to see anything besides the PPVs. My friends and I would grab our two liters of Mountain Dew, snacks, and then crowd around my TV to see what had happened in Philly. Good times man, good times.

A Mount Rushmore of ECW has always been tough. To me, it has to be Raven, Dreamer, Sabu and Douglas. Hard to not include Funk, Taz, Sandman, Cactus and RVD though. So many special characters and moments. It was a great time for sure

All the ECW Alumni were just great wrestlers not all wrestled like pro wrestlers but they knew how to tell a story in that squared circle!! Even if many were considered wrestling rejects they were great! There looks is what made em rejects but there in ring IQ were top tier and they gave us fans our money worth! Awesome times ECW !!!

For me, it'll always be RVD, The Dudley Boyz, and Sabu that made ECW so iconic. Mikey Whipwreck was also a solid presence. But the one thing that will forever be ECW, "OH MY GOD!!" being shouted by Joey Styles before the crowd chanted ECW.

I just said that if there was a section to talk about ECW superstars from the WWE era, the guys above would be honorable mentions. I know that the proposals from the 2 eras were different, but in theory they are the same brand, that's why I mentioned the guys above.
