LOOSE CANNON | The Brian Pillman Story (Full Career Documentary)
There’s perhaps no greater case of missed opportunity in wrestling history than Brian Pillman. That’s not to say he wasn’t a success of course, he was a major star in his day and widely considered to be one of the best of his era by both his peers and his fans. Still, despite this, it remains one of the greatest tragedies of the industry that he would end up missing out on its peak period by a matter of mere months, a time during which, given his groundbreaking character work up to that point, we’re almost certain he would have flourished. But how did he get to the point of becoming one of the all-time greats? Well, join us today as we take a deep dive into his entire career journey in Loose Cannon: The Brian Pillman Story.

My favourite wrestler of all time and maybe the best package in a performer in terms of psychology, promo skills and in ring ability before the injury. If he hadn't gotten hurt or picked up a nasty coke habit, he would have been huge, not that he wasn't a star already. There is no one in wrestling today like him. Jon Moxley/Dean Ambrose, tries, but he comes off like a cartoon character at times. As someone who worked in mental health, Brian Pillman Sr was incredibly realistic and if he was actually losing it mentally, quaaludes will do that. The guy must have been in unreal pain, so I don't blame him at all for the drug use. As a chronic pain sufferer, you do what you have to do in order to get out of bed sometimes. RIP and good luck to his son, who seems to have a ton of potential.

Brian Pillman could have made his WWF debut competing in the King Of The Ring tournament and developing a feud with his old Hollywood Blondes teammate Austin with Austin defeating Pillman in the finals of the King Of The Ring tournament greatly upsetting him.Brian Pillman would try to convince Stone Cold to reform a Tag Team but Austin would continuously shun Pillman off never wanting to go take a trip back to square one but Pillman would win a Number 1 Contenders Battle Royal to earn an opportunity for In Your House 9:International Incident.Austin and Pillman would reluctantly team up to face The Smoking Gunns for the WWF World Tag Team Titles this is where Pillman would decide to turn on Austin and cost himself the Tag Team belts.Brian and Austin would face off at SummerSlam in a No DQ match where Austin would defeat Brian after delivering a Stunner to Brian and pinning him for the three count. In Your House 10:Mind Games would see both Austin and Pillman be locked in a Steel Cage after Brian kept interfering in Austin’s matches and almost costing him wins this leading to Brian vs Austin for Part 10 where Brian would defeat Austin after some interference from Bret Hart.In Your House 11:Buried Alive would see Austin and Brian compete in a Strap match where Austin would completely brutalize Pillman until the end of the match where Owen and Bulldog would come out to assist Pillman and in the end Bret would return to attack Austin setting up a heel turn for Bret.Austin and Bret would have a Survivor Series match which would see Austin defeat Bret after countering his SharpShooter and delivering a Stone Cold Stunner to Bret for the three count. In Your House 12:It’s Time would see Austin and Bret have a rematch with Bret getting the win after some interference from Brian Pillman(who would be an associated member of the Hart Foundation)and would humiliate Stone Cold even further by doing further damage to his back.Stone Cold and Bret would both enter the Royal Rumble where Stone Cold would start out by eliminating Brian Pillman,Owen Hart, and British Bulldog but it would be a double elimination for Bret and Austin after eliminating each other from the rumble. In Your House 13:Final Four would see Shawn Michaels defend his WWF Title in a Fatal Four Way against Stone Cold,Psycho Sid,and The Undertaker and Bret Hart would actually win the Rumble after Bret got lucky because his foot never touched the ground first.Shawn would retain and meet Bret at WrestleMania 13 and Stone Cold would focus his attentions back on Brian Pillman after Brian cost Austin the WWF Title at Final Four.Stone Cold and Brian Pillman would have an I Quit match at WrestleMania 13 where whoever says I Quit would have to leave the World Wrestling Federation this seeing Austin overcoming The Hart Foundation and making Brian say the words I Quit.In Your House 14 would be where Brian Pillman would make the most shocking change in his character when a Titantron showed that he invaded In Your House 14 with the cast from ECW.The ECW cast would interfere in the World Title match between Bret and Austin where Brian would once again cost Austin the World Title but would shockingly turn his back on Bret Hart and The Foundation by attacking Bret.Austin and Bret would both be outraged and demand a match with Brian at In Your House 15:A Cold Day In Hell with Bret being able to retain after Brian nailed Austin with a Steel Chair.Austin and Pillman would continue their beef going into King Of The Ring where Austin would once again qualify for the Tournament to become a 2x winner but Brian would screw Austin out of it and this would lead to Brian making it to the finals where he would face Hunter Hearst Helmsley but Austin would interfere and allow HHH to defeat Brian to become King Of The Ring.Brian Pillman would be forced to face Austin at Canadian Stampede where Brian would manage to defeat Austin with help from ECW but this would lead to a group of WWF stars coming to the aid of Austin.Brian and Austin would have an Street Fight at SummerSlam where Austin would manage to defeat his former friend and pin him to the mat.

One of the all time greats that most of us millennials should have considered the best, beside stone cold, the rock, the undertaker, Christian, edge, and ALL OF THE HART clan, among so many others. But country wide, we only had limited exposure to certain pro wrestling organizations. I only knew about WWF. I never knew of stunning Steve austin, only stone cold. I never knew of callus mark Calloway. Only undertaker. By the time this total giga-Chad of a heel only came into my realm of knowledge in the last year and a half of his life. I'm so disappointed I didn't get to see this career flourish, im really disappointed I couldn't see what he would become. I'm ultimately upset and sorrowful for his young family, and for all the friends he left behind. I'm glad he made such an impact before his end, I'm glad he has a legacy to leave behind even though it was short-lived, I'm so sorry for everybody's lost especially his family's
