Farmcore: born first, hard-working, optimistic, loyal, soft butch, acts like mom for her sisters, can't sit straight without doing something, likes to pick both her sisters up and listen to their squeaks, treats farm animals like family members Goblincore: 100% "weird kid", loves her sisters but doesn't really talk to them, spends whole days wandering in forest in search of moss, bones, rocks and mushrooms, loves dirt, talks and laughs too loud and doesn't give a damn, "Goblincore, for God's sake, wipe your mouth!!" Cottagecore: the youngest and the purest. You can't call her lazy, she just doesn't do hard work at the farm, housewife, dreamy, loves to sleep on the grass in the warm summer sun, wipes herself with a piece of cloth REALLY often, likes to share her butterfly and frog drawings with Goblincore
Farm involves a level of community and larger picture- more outwardly focused - cottege is chosen isolation and life outside the bounds of normality reveling in personal and aesthetics beauty goblin is a completely rejection of beauty standards and standards in general as it is a celebration of personal joy and value in perceivablely imvaluable objects
Goblincore has the aesthetic I had when I was in middle school. If only I’d known about the name and community back then! I would’ve felt so much less alone.
The last tik tok made me think of something! When I went thrifting with my mom I showed her this old sweater I really liked and since I was just beginning to find my style, I wanted her opinion to make sure I wouldn’t look too ridiculous. She answered “I wouldn’t feel pretty in it, but I know you would and that’s why I like it.”
That sounds just plain out mean in my opinion. I kinda get it, I'm not allowed to shop in the men's section at all. And whenever I do my mom just says about the same things.
@@ghost1057 Sometimes it’s a bit annoying but I know she means well deep down. She would never actively stop me from going into sections or stores I want. She has even gifted me things I knew she didn’t like at all but gave me cause she knows I do. She’s supportive, she just doesn’t agree.
My dad just gave me a glittery brown rock...I think he knows that I’m collecting rocks and random stuff. That was so sweet...🥺 I’m probably gonna stare at it a all day. Or at least until I put it with my hoard.
Me: is sad because i found no moss on my walk :'( *sees a shiny* Me: My dreams are fulfilled. My sorrows are banished. My thoughts are wiped of all eternal dread. Life has reborn in a world of peace and love. I am no longer under threat from the common world.
My mom to me when I was 10: You can never embarass me, not with your clothes or attitude. Me age 15: *is a goblin and enjoys wearing what like* My mom: DoN't WeAr ThAt OuT iT's EmBaRaSsInG
My family is low key cottage core? I mean, my grandma know many types of mushrooms and likes to go outside to cut them. And my father assisted to a course of mushrooms and assigned a room to grow them. He watered them everytime he could and was really excited about them.
relatable.. my grandfather used to have a pond with a ton of koi and there were also some frogs.. whenever the frogs laid eggs he'd scoop them out so they could hatch in a seperate little spot he always made for them.. we also love animals my mother collects dead insects she finds like bees, dragonfly's and butterflies. i always collected shiny rocks as a kid and i'm a paganist..
Yes because So called "cottage core and farmercore" Is actually how real people live and shouldn't be an aesthetic im a farmer its disgusting that people think its just some aesthetic thing
ok so you guys are saying a gecko is still ok, but is a snake good too? I really want one and will eventually convince my parents to let me get one but is it also goblincore?
The best I could find on RU-vid was a little animatic, here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-x8bVstfCfQw.html The cover was originally made by @maddidabadoo on tiktok. It’s short, but very cute.
My aesthetic is like dark cottagecore/Goblincore. It's almost like misty mountains and forests, trees covered in moss, overgrown, with only a little bit if light shining through in dappled lighting. Big tall green pine trees, dark weeping willows, deep mysterious lakes shining beautifully bright blue. Wildflowers sparsely growing around. Wearing long flowing dresses and sitting in a tree reading a book. Mushroom circles with a tree stump in the middle. Fae and dragons, cobblestone and wooden paths overgrown by moss and nature.
you just described my exact aesthetic and idk how but you are my friend now (if you want to be) and we can find moss, mushrooms, and shiny rocks together
I collect fancy rocks and shiny stuff I find on the ground, I love mushrooms and tea and drawing, I think fairy lights and books are neat. What do y'all like?
I collect rocks from the sea, pouches, am really interested in skulls of critters and bones but if I collect anything my family will think I am psychotic😂😂😂😂 I like dehydrating flowers in books and use them as stickers in arts and crafts. When I was little I was obsessed with collecting candy wraps-only the clean and shiny ones- parents forced me to throw them out. Also metro tickets. They don't make those anymore. They forced me to throw them out too ;-; I adore cottagecore and froggos!...do I fit in?
if i have a mushroom hat, two mushrooms, two mushroom pinatas hanging up in my room, two terraiums, and a paper crown with plants glued to it, am i goblincore?
SAMEEE I can’t even express how cool it is!!! I wanna buy it so bad but my mom would think it’s too weird, plus my room and desk is kinda small so I wouldn’t have any room to put the stuff :(
good point.. i always feel alien when i walk the streets.. i don't know why but it just doesn't feel like it's my thing.. i'm not a city person at all and i love goblincore stuff even if i just found out about it a few days ago..
Where I live you don’t really find cool stuff like that but 2-3 times a year I’m on a trip with my family (Croatia/Spain/islands…) and mostly we are near woods or beaches or hills n stuff and there I always find cool rocks and skulls and sticks n bones (I once found a cat skull but couldn’t keep it) and I really hope it works this year bc of covid :)
Hey goblins of the city, I have come to inform you of the non-toxic foans beads at Target. 10/10 amazing. It is only 1$ so it's a good deal! _I think I'm in love_
@@batmansballsofsteel I´m referring to the people that like nature for the aesthetics so they go and tear a bunch of flowers or catch a butterfly and then kill it ´cause it´s pretty
🍄 I really wanna make a set of uno reverse cards with horse skulls and mushrooms and soggy frogs on them but I don't know if I can stay inspired for long enough to do it so please leave encouraging replies telling me to do it please and thank you 🍄
So I was sitting here watching this and the next thing you know I was looking up places to buy praying mantises, frogs, and bearded dragons as well as goblin clothes.
Btw dunno if this is off topic but you can make cool like jars and things with empty airwick glasses bottles ( you know the plug in one with the little glass bottle)
Goblincore seems to be more like mushroom related while cottagecore is more like livin in the middle of nowhere and like fairys Im kinda a mixture of both
