Well said finnsh brotherhood thank you very much for that beautiful comment about Canada I hope you and your family staying safe throughout this silly COVID 19 stuff some restrarants here in Canada 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 won't let you even too eat in even if you have phizer and madorna some restrarants want you too only have a pair of either one must have a pair of phizer or modorna how's the cases doing so far in your American town or state cases have been slowing down some what but with our weather patterns most people may have an easier chance at catching it do too the constant changes in our weather patterns Canada USA etc
I'm from Quebec, why do you say we hate it? Twice we voted no. There are a few malcontents, but they are in EVERY province. We were Canadiens for 2 centuries before other people living here called themselves Canadian. Canada is my home, I love her and would defend her against all enemy's foreign and domestic. Canada is a school for the world.
Canadians need this song for hope more than ever during these overwhelming times in every way. To all Canadians who are struggling: Stay strong, and the good will win soon. 🇨🇦
I'm Canadian American and I say the United States and Canada are two of the greatest countries on Earth but the Muslim migrants are wanting to bring Sharia law
I am American and love my country. But I am married a Canadian. I am so proud to call my second home. Canada Is special. I have never met such a amazing people in my life. You love life, You have such Spirit pride and love in your hearts. I was blessed to have met my wife. I fell in love for a country and it's people that took me in with open arms and made me feel like I was a Canadian. Thank you for that. God Bless Canada and all the loving people.
America and Canada are best countrys that has ever lived. They will always be. God bless America and Canada the 2 home of the brave and free. I love you friends and yes, I am American but also love Canada. May all the others try to be like all of us.
Thanks for posting. Despite being reminiscent of the USA version I still love it. I love this country and I'm darn proud of it and not afraid to say so.
I can’t listen to this without crying because it was played during the military send off at my dad’s funeral visitation when they attached poppies to his casket
Friendship and brotherhood forged by blood. From my view, Canadians are Americans, and Americans are Canadians. We have our differences, but we are brothers. This is a friendship that will last long after even both of our countries are gone.
I'm Canadian btw so, can we say "I'm proud to be a Canadian" instead of "proud to be in Canada" and I would change the lines: From the shores of Nova Scotia To the forests in B.C. Across the frozen Arctic from sea to shining sea. From St. John's to Toronto, and Calgary to Quebec, Well there's pride in every Canadian heart and its time we stand and say. That I'm proud to be a Canadian, where at least I know I'm free. And I wont forget the men who died, who gave that right to me. And I gladly stand up, next to you and defend her still today. ‘Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land, God bless our Canada. I think this version applies better to all Canadians and more patriotic to our country.
I think the wording is the way it is because it's written from the perspective of an American saluting Canada, but for a Canadian singing it your lyrics make sense, and would sound pretty good I think!!!
My great uncle stormed the beaches of D-Day in WWII and told me stories of the brave Canadian Soldiers who fought along side him. "Those soldiers from Canada are the bravest, toughest and noblest warriors I have ever met. It was an honor to fight along side them." So my respect to ALL of Canada's fallen heroes. Especially today Cpl. Cirillo, Carry on Corporal, Rest in Peace. My great uncle Technician 5th Grade Auerillo Carrillo U.S.Army is waiting with the rest of your Canadian brothers to meet your acquaintance and show you around post in Heaven.
Not only have our soldiers fought side by side for the last 150 years, they often fought wearing the same uniforms! An estimated 60,000 Canadians fought in the US Civil War (50,000 Union + 10,000 Confederate). Records show that in WW1, approx 35,000 enlisted Canadian soldiers declared the U.S. as their birthplace! In WW2, an estimated 30,000 Americans enlisted to fight in the Canadian Forces when the US was still neutral! After the bombing of Pearl Harbour, Canada not only declared war on Japan before the U.S.and Britain, but 26,000 Canadians also enlisted in the U.S. Forces! --Lets not forget the 1st Special Service Force! (Devils Brigade!) a joint US/Canadian special forces unit and their invasion of Japanese occupied islands in Alaska! Allies again in Korea! While its well known that Canada was officially a non -belligerent and harboured draft dodgers in the Vietnam War, it isnt well known that for the estimated 30,000-40,000 dodgers and deserters that fled to Canada, 30,000-40,000 Canadians crossed the border South and voluntarily enlisted to fight with the US! We were in Afghanistan together from the very beginning! (Task Force K-BAR) A large point of contention with many people is the non contribution and opposition by Canada to the 2003 Iraq invasion. It has now been revealed through Wikileaks that Canada was just displaying great duplicity and was actually one of the largest contributors to that war! (One of the 15 unnamed coalition partners) The Dew Line! The Five Eyes! NORAD! Brothers!!!!
I'm a Detroiter who also loves Canada. Every country in the world should learn from the example set by the peace between the U.S. and Canada. I never thought of Canadians as foreigners. They have always treated me as a neighbor, and we should do the same. Any American or Canadian who doesn't see the beauty in that should grow up.
Born in Canada, raised in the UK, Came back to Canada when I was 8. I'm so proud to live in such a gorgeous country. I'm blessed and thankful. I remember this song was also played in the mornings when I was in school and It would bring me to tears. Even now at 31, I still tear up listening to it. Proud to be Canadian, always have been always will be.
GOD BLESS YOU CANADA THE LANDS OF GOODHEARTED PEOPLE AND THE LANDS OF BLESSED SOULS THAT WHY GOD ALL MIGHTY WILL WATCH OVER YOU AND YOU HAVE TO FEAR NO MAN BECAUSE GOD IS WATCHING OVER YOU.TOO BAD I MAY LEAVE IN 2015 BUT NOBODY KNOWS .GOD BLESS CANADA AND ALL CANADIANS FROM THE DEEP OF MY OTTOMAN HEART.
Love Canadians. God bless you all from a U.S. Marine. We had a Marine from Saskatchewan in our platoon in the 1960s. He took a lot of kidding from most of us. Good natured guy. I doubt that he re-enlisted! Four years was enough.
an american born, veteran of 2 wars, says I Love you Canada. I always did. I did my 20 years serving my country. I say, when I was young It never changed my love for your nation
"I may not be a religious person. But If there is a god, let him bless this amazing great nation that gave me and my family chance that we could not find anywhere else in this world " O' Canada
we are all lucky to be canadians. i lvie in manitoba and i love canada. i LOVE canada becasue we are free of war. lots of people immigrated here to canada ( over 2,00,00 people) becasue since we are free of war we are peace keepers!! ROCK ON CANADA!
Thought it was gonna go, "And I gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today. Cuz there ain't no doubt, I love this land. God bless Canada, eh"
+AndyBar97 I'd love to hear that version! The problem is too many pissy ass sensitive types would criticize the obvious tribute and claim it was insulting.
+DarkNightPrincess I do on occasion myself, but I never really realized how often until my cousin born and raised in Dallas was up for a visit and said "EH!" everytime I did!
God Bless us all! I am proud to be part Canadian and American.. Born in Canada with Parents who were from the States.. I am bless with both! Happy Canada Day! ox
Which god in particular? Zeus.? And may Zeus bless you too. And Mithra. And Satan. And Freya. And Isis. And Buddha. And Horus. And Beddou. And Attis. And Chrisna. If you're referring to the god with a virgin birth born on December 25th... Augustus Adonis Korybas Osirus Tammuz So many blessings to go around.
Given what is happening around the world we should count our blessings that we live in Canada...as imperfect as she is, we are SO fortunate. God Bless Canada.
God bless our great country in the North...❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 And I'm proud to be in Canada❤ And I'm proud to be a Canadian🇨🇦 God bless you Canada❤❤❤🇨🇦
I LOVE THIS Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo MUCH! Thank you! GOD BLESS AND KEEP US ; with as much freedom we are allowed to have. A LOT LESS freedom of speech then while I was growing up, a young girl, teen, young woman and now at 67 PRAY to God that Canadians stop being so laid back, accepting things they don't agree with! STAND UP is two words all CANADIANS need to do!
As a retired French Canadian military, I served proudly my country and I hope that one day all the Canadian would take pride of their country, their flag and their identity, no matter if we are francophone or anglophone, no matter if we come from Quebec or Alberta, we are one great nation, and lets get together to show it to the rest of the world.
Thank you Lee Greenwood for showing us we need unity. I believe we are family with the USA sure we might bicker but when it comes down to it we will always be there for each other just like a family should be
To say thank you to all who serve this land, is not enough. I am so proud of our country and countrymen. To all who have given so unselfishly, I salute you. Because of you I wear the maple leaf with glowing pride. This truly is the greatest country on the planet. Thank You, Thank You, ThankYou!!!!
Thank you for this song. My father fought for Canada First World War,prisoner for almost 5 years, my brother fought for Canada in Korean War, they protected me from fighting in war and up in Canada until the WEF, WHO and the current prime minister began the destruction of Canada.
