Every person needs a covering for their sin. The only covering available for sinners is the obedience of Jesus Christ. And once God has put away our sins, He won't bring them back to haunt or torment us.

God doesn't remember our sins, but we do. That is why we have guilt and re-ask for forgivenes.

@@andrewjackson3278 Exactly, lot times things woould come back to mind that happened 40 years ago and then would come mind that is the reason you are paying for it now. Things that are done and past has nothing to do with salvation now. He really plays a guilt trip. 🙄

Jesus told us to daily ask for forgiveness. Not that Christians become judicially or legally unrighteous when we sin but our experience of fellowship and communion with the Father is affected by sin.

@@1689solas That was under the old covenant, now we live by faith. The thing about it repentance doesn't make you holy, only trust God does. We are to do the best we can without always repenting. That is why he said I will be merciful to their unrightness. It doesn't mean we should go around do things on purpose just to ask forgive. That is what some people think repentance is asking forgiveness. Repenting is saying I wish I hadn't done that. Even God said he wished he hadn't made man. It wasn't anything he did was wrong , he was sorry that he had created man.

Amen! Hallelujah Wonderful Wonderful Saviour! Jesus Christ became The Sin offering! He suffered The penalty! Separation from The Father & Holy Spirit! What a Awesome reunion that must have been the reunion of The Holy Trinity!

+Diego Salinas..Jesus put Great Effort into Pleasing the Father..and Doing what the Father wanted Done. .and I do the same to Please my Savior. It does not come by sitting on your tokass and simply "Believing" you are saved.

Yes yes! Tell us more how Jesus died to make the doctrine of the serpent true for you. You can break the commandment of God and surely, you will not die. 1 Corinthians 1:18-25 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, And bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.” Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom; but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, but to THOSE WHO ARE CALLED, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. Romans 8:16-17 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs-heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, IF INDEED WE SUFFER WITH HIM, that we may also be glorified together.

There is no need to ask God to forgive us when we think we have sinned. Our sins have been put away. That includes our future sins when Jesus died 2.000 years ago which was put away also. We must believe the word of God on this. There is no forgiveness without the shedding of blood. Christ is not shedding His blood again. No more sacrifices for sin. Believing the word of God on this will mean all the difference to a believer. It's means knowing we are completely forgiven, we don't live our lives as believers always sin concious. Hebrews 9:14. Knowing this truth sets you free: it liberates you. I recomend you listen to Dr Andrew Farley on RU-vid. Dr Andrew Farley's sight 'The grace message'. Compare what Andrew Farley teaches with your Bible open. Be blessed.

+Rocky Lasco..I know we need forgiveness..that is Why Jesus Gave us Forgiveness. I am talking to these people who say they don't need commandments and they just simply believe they are saved and they are. They are fools.

We are saved by faith/believing in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus only. Out of being born again we live the believers life lead by the Spirit. Romans 8:14. Romans 1:17. We are not saved by works. Religious activities, church attendance, Bible classes, prayer meetings etc. Ephesians 2:8-9. The above activities are things a believer does out of a new born again heart. Romans 6:17. But these activities/ works don't save us. We are saved unto good works; Ephesians 2:10; but not by them. We are not saved by law keeping. Galatians 2:16. May you see this friend. Be encouraged by God's word.

@@Jeff-gr3yl Could be! But knowing Jesus Commandments sure helped me be aware of where I was causing some of my suffering. I think Jesus commandments are part of His Grace. Jesus Said..”If you Love Me..keep my commandments.” Sorry..but I agree with Jesus here.

@@kathleenwharton2139 Jesus was born under the Law and the new covenant started when Jesus died. Jesus said this to His disciples. John 14:15. As I said they were still living under the old covenant. He taught them what's called the Lord's prayer and part of that prayer states: if you don't forgive others I won't forgive you. Matthew 6:15. Most of the sermon on the mount is the Lord teaching His disciples and the Jewish people who are still under the old covenant as Christ had not died yet. They are taught in the sermon of the mount to cut their hand off; pluck their eye out etc; also to go with their sin sacrifice to the priest. And they can come before the san Sanhedrin to be judged. Read the sermon on the mount. Matthew chapter's 5 to 7. These teachings don't apply after Jesus died. We live in the new covenant. We need to understand that all scripture does not apply to us. We need to read it in its proper contexts. After Christ died a new covenant came into being and what I shared with you in my last text is how it is now under a new covenant. Christ did it all for us when He died on the cross and said it is finished. John 19:30. Hebrews 9:12, and 26. Take the time Kathleen to see this. We love God because He first loved us through His Son's sacrifice on the cross. And we can only love Him back because we have His love in us: one of the fruit of the Spirit. Galatians 5:22-23. And so because we have a new heart we are obedient from that heart. Romans 6:17. Watch Dr Andrew Farley on RU-vid: His sight is called: ' The Grace Message'. Look up his playlist. Be encouraged.

We bring back our sins..the moment we are selfish..unforgiving..condemning..judgmental..covetous.. lustful..inconsiderate..unmerciful..dishonest. We are Not saved from sin..until we stop sinning. Do you really think Jesus..just believed He was Saved..And He Was?! It took effort for Jesus to do it..and you think you don't even have to do anything?

kathleen Wharton my dear friend you will never be able to stop sinning as long as your on this earth,this is one reason Gods mercy is new again every morning ,it’s because we need it daily,we need to be washed daily,it’s part of being sanctified by the Holy Ghost,positionally we are forever saved and we are forever sealed by the Holy Spirit and that will never change no matter how much we sin and we will but it’s only the flesh that’s in you that’s doing the sinning,the seed of God in you makes it where your soul cannot sin ,it’s only the flesh that remains in you in this sad and mortal body,remember this:God remembers our frame,that we are BUT dust.dont TRY to stop sinning before you come to the Lord,come just like you are and say God have mercy on me a sinner and you will walk away justified by the grace of God on you! Those who come to him he will in no wise cast out,God knows the true desire of your heart ,whether good or evil.

GodsGrace all those things will be the result of being saved not the other way around,grace is a free gift so if your saved you will be able to do all this but your not doing it in your own power but by the holy ghost power,the saved will endure ,the saved will repent,the saved will be on the narrow path ,your righteousness will exceed those of the Pharisees because of Christ’s righteousness in you ,not your own that would be human attempt to please God ,all our righteousness is filthy rags it says so obviously you will never be able to exceed the righteousness of the Pharisees unless you are first saved ,my original comment was not to bother you but to help you 😃
