As I were watchig this anime I was like "man..such a great OST...but, where is No Way Back?...I mean... I cant be the only one who love that song from God Eater Burst and think its considered Lindow's theme". And BANG, it kicks in, thx for the upload.
Id want some anime series that fill in the gaps between especially showing what happened between god eater online and 3 as it seem like soma is the only character left
"You have three orders: Don't die. If your number's up, get out. Lastly, hide. If you're lucky, catch the enemy off guard and blast it. Wait, is that 4?„ too bad they change this quote in Resurrection
Definitely the best version IMO. Putting aside it being of better quality aurally, It just has better instrumentation, a more varied and interesting beat, and a better singer/vocal track. It feels like whoever directed this wasn't afraid to try whatever the hell he wanted, and it worked. There's plenty of moments that just make me stop and think, "Damn, did they just do that?" and I really appreciate that.
didnt his squad have the most casualties before the MC showed up? Probably why he was uncaring as hell, due to not wanting to get attatched to teammates
i Love soma. Or ein, however you wish to call him. with his appearance in god eater 3 and the mention of his friends waiting back in the far east. I am....dying....for a reunion arc with all/most of the old characters. I'd even love a feature in god eater 3 to design two more characters that fill the roles of the protagonist in the first and second games, I think it'd be freaking awesome!
@@mattithegodeatersmashbro1358 this is my idea for S2. Eps 1-13 will be shio and the aiges incident ark. 14-24 will be about saving lindow, then S3 will be about hiro
@@mattithegodeatersmashbro1358 in season 3 eps 1-13 will be about awakening there blood power and avenging romio and eps 14-25 is about stopping the second devouring apocalypse
Nah Lenka is an entirely unlikeable and outright bad protagonist. If it had only been centered on Lindow it would have been a much superior experience.
@@Senerith if it had been centered around on Lindow, it wouldve been really boring during the time between him going MIA and the time he was finally found cus all he did during that time was walk random places and kill whatever aragami was in his way. Itd also ruin the aegis/ark project twist since lindow knew since the start of god eater and was actively involved with stuff concerning the project
@@edy5509 if you like monster hunter style games i say go for it. There is the heated argument that god eater is monster hunter for kids, But I disagree, Both games have complexities the other lack and things that make them more relaxed then the other as well. Regardless of what people say, I have often said that, at least in the case on monster hunter world vs god eater resurrection, The enemies in god eater felt far more difficult to face, especially Ars nova, and Dyus pita. then the enemies i fought in monster hunter world. furthermore there feels like a lot more customization available to you as far as fighting goes, In god eater as opposed to monster hunter....But the customization cosmetically, the need to track your stats and all that jazz in monster hunter worlds, blows god eater out of the water. /shrug just the opinion of a fan of both games. check them out if you ever have a chance!
@@edy5509 recently rewatched the anime and decided to buy the game too, love the setting/atmosphere/vibe that it gives, like fighting with your close friends/squad members through despair. the game is actually quite different from the anime, and while it isn't perfect, it enjoyed it a lot. btw if you buy GE2 you get GE1 for free on steam.
If you like anime you could give it a try. It's not great but not bad either. And some scenes with this music are fucking amazing. If you hear ghost oracle drive in the show, prepare for chills.
That's what I've discerned from the conglomerate opinion of the anime. "Alright. Good action. Games are somewhat better at making the characters interesting. Great music." Lenka just doesn't seem that interesting a main character. I suppose you could argue Yuu even less-so, but the protagonist of GE1 was always just a stand-in blank slate. Filling that blank slate with "generic shonen hotblooded protagonist" is kinda... Eh.
Wombat Hunter Eh, fair enough. But they could have easily had Yuu in and just fleshed him out a bit, like they did with Persona 4. Yuu's presented as a very caring, almost overtly polite guy. Reading the manga stuff helps out with that too, and the manga Yuu fits more with the game than Lenka does. Also I didn't quite understand the point of Lenka when Soma was there. Yuu/the protagonist was always the sort of emotional centre of things, whereas Soma was the impulsive, rash broody guy.
charcharmunr So you would prefer Yuu over Lenka? I don't know Yuu, didn't play the game and didn't even know that there was manga :O From what i understand, Lenka was created just for the anime and replaced Yuu? Well, if i played a game with Yuu, i would probably be disappointed to not see him in the anime. Now i don't really understand what's the point of creating Lenka if there was already a protagonist. Maybe they wanted to tell a bit different story? For players to experience a bit different plot? I heard that the anime was just to promote the game, so it's possible they wanted to avoid some spoilers for new players too. And from what you said i think Lenka isn't much different from him. He's very kind too. But well, i watched only anime so i don't know many things. I will check out the manga, thanks. But i see there are quite a few titles... I will figure out the right order. I only hope there is a continuation for the anime story. Like what happened with Rindou, or who's that white girl.
Wombat Hunter There's a fair few manga spin-offs. The majority of the ones that spin off the first game feature Yuu and it's a bit hard to tell when they all take place. They give him some character, but not much. The protagonist in the game is a blank slate custom character with relatively little backstory, no spoken dialogue in the majority of cutscenes and... Some amount of character given via just how they act and the few lines they do say, which fit more with how Yuu is portrayed than with how Lenka is. I assume Yuu was replaced because he just wasn't that complete a character, but the manga (particularly Undercover, I believe) does help characterise him. The protagonist in-game does some impulsive stuff a couple times, but that's when the drastic situation calls for it. It does feel kinda odd to replace Yuu with Lenka when Yuu was already there and could easily be fleshed out. I suppose making a backstory for Yuu would've been trickier because he's fairly clearly not overtly troubled or mentally unstable or anything, just kinda... Hates feeling useless, I guess? Also, actually, only one of the manga spin-offs really features Yuu. He's present in the others, but they're from others' perspectives, usually Alisa.
+Tottenham 35 It's just the instruments and the changes............My ears are bleeding T_T Even the "out of my way" version wasnt this bad At least the refrain is still somewhat epic
This is the only thing good that comes from the anime, everything else is a mess, the story in the game are better, lenka is a bad protag, they should just make lindow the protag, or just completely copy paste what happens in the game and add a dead chara protag since it do well on harems, and since most fans will know why the protag had dead chara, because it was supposed to be the player.
