I'm a 35 year old white guy, born, raised and continue to live in the upper-middle class suburbs of Charlotte, NC. I discovered Tupac's music in my teenage years, right around the time when he was gunned down in Vegas back in '96. Pac's words and his music stay in heavy rotation on my playlists. He's just as profound to me today as the first time my ears noticed a few tracks from All Eyez On Me over 20 years ago. Funny enough, that ended up being my least favorite album of his. It's still an all time classic album, though. The more I listened to Pac, the more apparent it became that he was much different than everyone else in the entertainment industry. Sadly, there will never be another Tupac. Often imitated, but never duplicated. One of the greatest artists to ever live. If you thought Pac's lyrics from Dear Mama made you feel something, check out his verse on STILL I RISE. Just another one of many incredible gems he produced.

TEXAS COUNTRY BOY Another song I’d highly recommend is “This ain’t Livin’.” There’s an OG version (the one I prefer) available here on RU-vid and a studio version that was released on the album Until The End of Time. Both versions are awesome, right up there with the best of ‘em.

The way the world Act , to come together, change the bad things & make them better where the the youth could see a future..He wanted to switch things around to good. take care of the community show the kids something better, specially the Ghetto kids of all color,creed,background... it would have been nice to see all he would have accomplished..

His mom was also very intelligent and she did mot stop fighting for the masters of his music. She died but got them back where they belong now his sister has control of it all. She did not want her ex husband who was not even Tupac's dad to have rights to them even though he tried.

You are right about the interviewer. I was a teen when this first aired, and had a great respect for the interviewer. However I could see he had already prejudged Tupac, and you could see that even he was surprised at how articulate and intelligent Tupac was. Instead of allowing himself to acknowledge that and respectfully meet Tupac where he was intellectually, he stayed on his stale agenda when he had an opportunity to get an even more interesting interview. It’s still one of the best 2Pac interviews, but that is because of Pac. He gave him that gem, he should be thankful to Pac for one of the highlights of his career.

Wish you gave the interview too haha. Honestly, even though I grew up in the 80s/90s and was around people who worshipped 2pac, I was more in to public enemy, tribe called quest, de la soul (aka native tongues crew). The songs I heard from pac were more on the violence/gangsta tip but now that time has passed and we get to see everything via RU-vid, my perception has changed. I think he's def one of the most influential and truth speaking people out there that have ever existed. Maybe that's why he's R.I.P now?

Its nice to see empathy coming from someone unaffected by Pac's truth. It's easy to sit on the other side of the fence and pass judgment never having to experience the Trauma yourself. Much Respect to you Cousin for stepping outside of your own world and paying attention long enough for understanding.
