I love how Perseus goes into a full Disney monologue while Kratos chills

Perseus goal was to bring back his love to life from the underworld. Instead, Kratos kills him. Now Perseus can be reunited with his love in Hades. In other words, Kratos is a true gentleman.

I love how kratos casually breaks each and every item perseus has. Its also worth mentioning that they were supposed to be unbreakable because they were gifts from zeus, athena, and hermes.

Has shield. Proceeds to block everything with his sword. Door is "only way out". Ignores huge gaps in pillars behind him Great hero of Mycenae everyone!

Who would win in a fight: A god slayer Or: A guy who goes invisible only when water is around him and shouts "IM RIGHT HERE!"

I like how Kratos was just standing there letting him vent his frustrations before the fight

i like how kratos didn't say a single word from the first time they met till he killed perseus

What makes this encounter even more awesome, is the fact that Perseus is voiced by the actor who played him in the original Clash of the Titans 😁

The fact that they got Harry Hamlin to voice him, and Kevin Sorbo to voice Hercules in 3 is such wonderfully awesome fan service.

Dont you guys get a really strange satisfying feeling when Kratos' Blades get stronger and gain more deep blood colour as you upgrade them.

I’ve always loved how this is one of the few boss fights in the series in which Kratos’ opponent is clearly the underdog, and yet Perseus tries every trick he has to overcome him. Even though it’s borne of arrogance, there’s something oddly admirable about Perseus’ bravery to stand and fight when he’s clearly outmatched.

Kratos showed Perseus how to really fight with enchanted gear. Now he's hooked.

If you think about it, Kratos reunited Perseus with the girl he loved so yeah there's that.

This is probably the only time in this series where I can say you were more op than your opponent. Perseus just lacks the brute force and muscle to take Kratos on and once his cloaking ability was taken away then it was a solid L for perseus.

I completed this game on Titan mode using the psvita. People say video games only rot your brain, but Kratos has taught me the true meaning of "where there's a will, there's a way" Along with other valuable messages besides vengeance, mutilation and anger.

For all of you wondering why he didn't just go through the pillars to escape, its cause the arena is too high where they are. He'd break his legs instantly or at worst fall to his death. Even after you beat him you have to use the chain to climb down. And about the chain, it was too high up so Perseus can't reach it or jump and grab it to lower himself.

I love how, in many cutscenes, the enemies just get pissed of by Kratos and end up fighting against him, while he doesn't even say a word

Always thought Kratos cinematic attacks on Perseus were particularly vicious (that stiff as fuck chokeslam, cracking his skull against the wall, drowning him etc, really dark stuff), it's as though Perseus beautiful appearance seems to bring about even more wrath from Kratos, and listen to that agonised gurgle when he becomes impaled on the hook. David Jaffe was clearly in a bad mood when coming up with this scene!

Fun fact: Perseus in God of War II was voiced by Harry Hamlin. Harry Hamlin played Perseus in the 1981 film 'Clash of the Titans'.

That opening scene is pure theatre. Fantastically acted. He was the only person in the series I felt bad for killing just from that performance alone. So good they don't even let Kratos interrupt it. Harry Hamlin just fucking nailed it.

Perseus could’ve just climbed through the back of the building. And he could wear that helmet and that way avoid confrontation. But no he had to fight the main character.
