"Before the age of the twilight set upon the Gods, a legend rose to take his place among them. And even though Kratos sat on the throne as the new God of War, he was haunted by visions of his family, a family he himself murdered. But the hands of death could not defeat him, the sisters of fate could not control him, and on this day, the man, the legend, Kratos, will have his revenge.”
For some reason the uploader didn’t provide lyrics. This was such an awesome opening sequence. The first two God of War games didn't have anything like this, so it was great to see it in this one. The music is absolutely fantastic as well, along with the rest of the soundtrack.
@@hououinkyouma3864 of course you can have an opinion, I don't have a twitter account, but the new games are stunning. Great voice acting, a narrative that sucks you in deep, hug open world maps, refined combat, fun puzzles. I only agree with this to a degree, and that's that I like ripping apart gods brutally, and you kill much more gods in the gow 1 2 and 3 than you do in gow 2018 and ragnarok.
@@enjoyerofcereal fun puzzles? the puzzles were trash in gow2018, idk about ragnarok i haven't played it. and well on the surface level old games were about ripping gods, but it goes deeper, its not just some ripping gods head games.
This is one of the best, if not the best, opening sequences of all time. They had one song made of all the themes in the series, along with a rather simple but spetacular animation of the whole story. GoW3.. epic at every aspect.
The first God of War (where you kill Ares) had a very nice opening sequence for it's time. The Graphics were mind blowing, i still play it on my PS2 and it still awes me to see something so beautiful. God of War III without a doubt had one of the best opening sequence every though. I love the style, it's similar to the way it was carved on pottery in Ancient Greece.
@@herpyderpy2869 ancient greek would be better. And id prefer if they used ancient greek accent too so it fits the theme. The opera should be about the events of Kratos' life(becoming Ares' servant, slaying family, losing brother) and it should include the events of Ascension too. Tho I don't really know how the opera would come about with Kratos having to talk melodically... A theatre play would be better in my opinion, an ancient greek theatre play would be awesome and I would totally pay to see it in an ancient greek theatre. Akropolis preferably.
This song was used for the Metropolis stage during the invasion of God of War from the Private Demo of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale under the title “Title Fight!”. Along with the We Control song by Hyper.
The trailer to this extraordinary video game, also marks the rage of my social media dominance #legion #2007 #omfg #aots #xplay #theultimachallenge #imaonemanarmy
It is just a modern age game, and not a legit myth that you could've heard, read, whatever. I mean, what purpose would serve a story of brutally murdering all the aspects of cultured life the gods represent? But in this one sequence they really made you believe, if for a brief moment, that it is in fact a greatest epic of legendary Greece. The way Kratos stands before Ares, a mortal in the face of god, and wise Athena points with her graceful finger to the box made by the Hephaestus, the divine Smith himself, containing a weapon. When Kratos goes on a journey to the exiled titans, achieves his goal, than is yet again in argument with the gods and he MOVES THE ISLAND by riding the Sisters' of Fate steed. And with this chorus and powerful music it's like we're really taking a role of a hero of old time who knows no doubt, who sees the lands of wonder and wields the weapons blessed by the very gods.
There's someting that I always think: if kratos can die and back to live and if he already went 3 TIMES to hades kingdom (the 3rd he reached tartaro itself), WHY CAN'T HE JUST GO HELL AGAIM AND BRING TO THE MORTAL REIGN HIS FAMILY!?
JonatasMonte Sorry if this is late but, His family went somewhere else possibly, he killed them meaning they went somewhere else. Also he was wayyyyy to angry to think that level headed or straight.
Because his family is not in Tartarus, Tartarus is the "hell" of ancient Greece, his wife and daughter went to Elysium. Kratos went there in Chains of Olympus to get to his daughter, but was forced to save it from destruction, thus preventing Caliope's death
@Hepathos i guess you mean couldnt but i guess so to tell you something i think traditional chinese japanese and other asian languages are very ancient and havent changed a lot.
