im loving the comments on this video because it proves my point. there is no one best armor set, but like i explained it depends on your play style. Many of you are giving us your armor of choice and explaining why. it's not just most dmg and that's it or most cool down and that's it or the best healing and thats it everyone has some sort of explanation with their builds explaining why its good for them and how it helps them. and thats is different for each player!
This is why I’m not loving the comments 🤣I’m frozen on which I want to use. So many equipment options and details for playstyle preferences it’s dope! I just need to find my groove on lock in.
@@CoachTC23 That was me for awhile and then I just decided to ignore all that and just choose the armor that I enjoyed the most and that fits my playstyle. Which, coincidentally ended up being the same wrist and waist armor from the video and a different chest armor that gives me enough cooldown to use this enchantment that makes my dodge faster cause I like to bob and weave lol
Berserker armour is the best risk and reward armour set and it’s so op. It’s actually crazy how much damage it adds up to with the hilt of the realms and the grip of the realms on an axe. Op as hell
@@ilikeducks3546 yea basically but the risk is much lower. When you use a relic you take MUCH more damage, and it’s for like 15 seconds, so after you use a relic and delete their hp, just be smart of how you play. It’s very op and the best one if you play wisely
Doing a pure poison build on Kratos with nothing but hex plus hex explosions and hex stacked damage got me through every stage of muspelheim and the berserkers quite easily. Forget the weapons, just spam enemies with arrows, poison hilt, Stonewall shield bashes and punches. No need to make it fancy and you'll run through EVERYTHING in seconds.
Best Armor for Damage and Stats = Berserker (Risky double high damage reward,, but stats are insane). Best Offensive Armor = Guiding Light (Pure Damage Set) = good early set to have til late game. Best Defensive Armor = Steinbjorn (enemies can't kill you easily anymore) a little minus on attack stats but survivability. This is #1.
Runic builds are especially good for people who frequently swap weapons mid fight because both the levianthan axe and blades of chaos have skills that increase damage against foes with their opposite statused enemies, even if a foe resists frost, applying frost then switching to the blades will do way more damage.
I 100% agree with you. The arm and the waist piece for realm shift is a huge advance in harder difficulty vs using the the armor that helps with defense & healing. I combine the realm shift armors with Berserker Chest piece, which increase the damage greatly.
@@Jelus1 dude, that trio was annoying af but, once you get the fire and ice sisters down, the last one should be pretty easy, unless you have almost no health at that point.
I just use the relic for time shift and focus on cooldown of that relic instead of evading to cause time shift. The stats on the Radiance armor are crap. I use Berserker arms and waist to speed the cooldown of the relic and Chest I use the Maxed out Survival (default) armor for the insane all round stats. Although the Berserker chest would be OP, you wont even need it (I personally dont like the high risk) P.s. Get the Amulet that causes runic storm in Vanaheim desert.
It's so much fun lol I was just using it earlier wrecking everything. I'm switching to a runic build just now due to nostalgia because it's what I used in Gow 2018. Let's see how it goes lol
@@ikerreromartinez1340 I also love that it's a set with a lot of Luck because you get more exp and hacksilver and if you have the mats you can usually upgrade.
It literally melts enemies couple it with sonic arrows with the melee damage bonus accessorie for atreaus and Freya u won't even need anything else the axe, spear, and blades become completely irrelevant
Why is the Shoulder Guard Of Survival at max level (base chest armor) better than Manis Pauldron Of Wisdom at max level? It has WAY more vitality, luck, strength, and runic. Yes, you are missing out on the ability that Mani's Pauldron has, and the +6 cool down, but it's really worth it considering the next to no materials needed for base chest armor
Berserker armor is OP. Get the realm shift pommels on all your weapons and the perk that allows your realm shifts to do more damage. Apart from Gna and King Hrolf, you'll melt all other bosses with ease in seconds.
@@jrman2004 Raven Tears set, Plackart of Fallen Stars, Surtr Muspelheim set, etc. It really depends on your playstyle - do you spam Runic attacks, like to parry, do ranged, etc. Finish the campaign first before doing any of the Berserker fights. When you start fighting the berserkers, you'll get the full Berserker set before facing King Hrolf. King Hrolf should be the second to last boss you face and Gna the absolute last thing you do.
Id honestly love to try some other armour and builds but i could never leave the realm shift behind, hopefully they give us an enchantment for it in ng+ like they did in gow 2018
About the only sets that truly make a difference prior to being able to get the berserker stuff are Lunda's (poison), Giptumadr (runic and relic cooldown) and Nidavellir's (stun). Survival is all around the best set though if you don't care about any bonuses. The chest is actually perfect to pair with the Nidavellir's arms/waist, or use the Survival arms/waist with the Giptumadr chest. The radiance set doesn't really "work" until you've beaten half of the game. Even then, it gets trumped hard by the berserker set + relic combo. Sure, you can last second dodge to slow time, but it's only going to get you a single hit, two at most and the damage won't be buffed until you get a certain enchantment mid-game. Learn to parry and do even more damage, faster. Dodge only against red attacks. Midway through the game though, before you can get the berserker set completed? Sure, I wore it myself until I could get the full berserker and just wore the arms/waist with the berserker chest. Overall though, the truly most broken armor is the poison armor. It's boring as hell to play, but it is truly the easy mode of the game, and you make it even stronger later on with the dragon arms and waist.
i was wondering about that.... the poison effect triggers so often that i wasnt sure that the dragon arms and waist was really worth trading off a (conditional) 40% damage boost.
I’ve also noticed that if you max out the original armor set (to level 9) it maxes all your basic stats, but you just don’t get any armor bonuses with them AND you get a trophy for doing so… it’s actually REALLY good for all 9 attachment choices you can add.
I’m using this armor right now and I’m loving it. I heard there’s an armor set for cooldown which I want to get but that will be my endgame armor cause I want to pair it with a relic that seems really powerful
I use the surtr's wrist armor the realm shift waist armor and the healing chest armor you get from defeating the secret troll bosses and I can't lie this shit 🔥🔥🔥
Your build is too high end, specially when playing in the hardest difficulty, the crucible is very hard. I had been using Lunda's chest since early game and is perfect for parrying and bare hands, sol's wraps and sol's belt, the parry has rage bust too. Your build is for dodge. I use the time warp belt for some bosses. The good thing is that the game gives you freedom. The down side of time warp belts and wrist is the low stats. I play with CD at 100 and running and luck above 150 ilevel 7 and I just stoled the mask from Odin. Some bosses might require a warp build, I will save your video for later, berserkers will need this build for sure
using surtr chest + berserker gloves & waste I found to be the best. using a combo of different things you can get your str and def over 400, massive amounts of healing and dmg. It strikes an amazing balance that trivializes content.
The Sol set basically gives an extra life bar. When you pair with Rond of Aggravation, you get a very interesting build that rewards clean play with extra damage, but also gives a safety netby allowing you to regain health with clean play. I pair it with the Greater Regen essence and the Crest of Desperate Heroics to add even more safety net.
@@CoachTC23 clean play means basically parrying everything offered to you, and generally not getting hit. But if you do get hit, it isn't a super big deal since the build covers for you. And since you regain rage with parries, using spartan rage can be a risk versus reward regarding damage output. Use rage to heal or deal massive burst damage, but it sacrifices overall DPS a little bit. I forgot to mention I also use the alfheim set so dodging gives next attack a damage boost.
@@Tydusis1 So much equipment and details in this one to specify your gameplay! I need to find my groove and lock in. Appreciate the depth of response amigo! 🙏
I found pairing the radiance gauntlets and belt with the pauldron of might and focusing on upping your strength also created a fun playstyle where you focus more on non runic attacks and dodging, I also use the sheild round that activates realm shift, but as you said on no mercy mode you dont usually rely on the shield lol
the bareknuckle poison armor was surprisingly effective. poison lowers an enemies level, which not only increases how much damage they take, but also how easily regular hitstun allows them to be combo'd, not to mention the regular stun you get from bare handed attacks. absolutely trashes bosses, doubly so if fully stunning them has a serious payoff. unfortunately this build has no ranged twitch attacks, which means that any somewhat difficult boss that requires a fast ranged attack response (of which i would say there are at least two), makes this build kinda awful.
I love this armor even before i watch your video. What level should i go to Muspelheim? I would like to try chest armor :) I did first 6 challanges, i did the left one, i did the middle one, but the central one is so hard, 1 or 2 hit and i die , i had everything on lvl 5, even i get all armor pieces to 7 it is still hard, so far i did 50kills od 99 :D
I love to play hybrid- defensive and aggressive I have a build with the first armor set in the game that gives increase in all stats and pommel’s of the realms
I've really liked the Nidavellir's set since I got it at the beginning of the game because it rewards filling the Stun bar. I ended up just revolving my whole build around that and I had a blast. I don't think it's the best build by any means but I like the theme of it.
I am building out my big boss armor loud out and it is almost the same as this setup. Totally agree that everyone needs to adjust for play style. It’s just so dam frustrating spending resources early on to level up armor that may hardly be used later on. But when your getting your ass kicked - you have no choice 😂
Blabbing so much. You could have just gone to the point or at least give more informative and factual info rather than just throwing out your opinions with lazy editings. An essentially three-minute guide that took you nine mins to explain for the adsense.
How do you play through the game and not learn how to alfheim? Is it not said out loud multiple times? I'll give you the cuirass though, I don't know how that's said either...
brah your crazy saying you can get this chest piece early game .. these crucibles are fucking insane. especially when playing give me god of war ... you need to be heavy geared to complete this shit
the starter armor that is in all the trailers seems to give me the highest stats on everything when fully upgraded. it gives: 442 STRENGTH 376 DEFENCE 279 RUNIC 211 COOLDOWN 153 VITALITY 214 LUCK
Whats the name of the set again - I think I might have sold a number of things once I got he Nidavellir set (Im not that far in so havent really had access to too many other armour sets). Might have to buy it back and start levelling it up on the side.
Survival armor is the best in my opinion. Starter armor all the way. My set up with this armor and all my amulet enchantments literally makes me OP. Health bar is half the screen pretty much
Yeah the special perk about the survival gear is that it will give a boost to every stat. But no special perks. While other armors have special perks but less overal stats
Enemy teams??? Man your mind is still in Destiny lool. And yes i do second yaa, each player will like and prefer the armor that match with his playstyle.
Jesus Christ man you ramble on for minutes but never make it clear what armor it is. Say it in the intro or in the caption and I’ll stay to watch the rest of the video, but this waiting game ain’t it
At first I ain’t know what this was I was wondering why I enter slow motion at times…till I read it I was like well damn ….I planned on not changing at all
Um nope im level ten on story mode berserker armor all red ax blades spear leveled to ten and im getting my ass killed in one shot by the ghost in Midgard sooo
Would be great if a video about armor for leveling up and not wasting materials wouldn't spoil story content / boss fights as most people watching are likely on their first playthrough. Present company included. :-(
I just had a question, what the best armor to this end game build? I've tried a lot...which is not satisfactory in my opinion. I never tried god of war difficulty yet because i knew one hit will end. I try no mercy, one hit and it's end
it's pronounce Ser-ter, Nidevallir's= Nid-a-vil-er. muspelheim= muse-el -heim. Steinborn= Stein-borne When did Paul says any pronunciation problems I'd be glad to help you out
Is my build good? Strength 325, defense 330, Runic 175, vitality 172, cooldown 23, luck 162. I have the fate breakers shoulder guard, Giptumadr’s gauntlets and waist guard
The combat when it comes to parry is not making much sense regarding bosses. I will parry their 1st attack and my shield 🛡️ will conveniently move out of they way and I can’t move and can’t parry and the boss gets a free hit or 2 and I can’t do anything about it. Anyone know what the issue is? Thanks.
Heavy attacks are red we can agree on that but you might want to get your eyes checked because there's no light green attacks it's yellow like as yellow as yellow can be almost
I’m playing the game for the first time right now I’m going for a ranged axe build. So does anyone know of a video or have any personal recommendations for a ranged build.
Realm Shift Relic with boosting Amulet gems for melee damage, Full Lundas, Leave weapons at home, don't need them. have Freya on rune arrows (purple) tap square at start of fight to prime enemy and then Realm Shift then let Kratos loose with punches, enemy melts. there is a faster way to kill them but you need collect more crap. lol God of Puzzles and Collecting.
