I tested every "ultimate build" that a lot of people post on YT. I test them out on Gna, Berserker King and all the Final Crucible Challenges. What I found out? You don't need "gimmicky" builds. Just get your parry timing down, be aware of where your enemies are, memorize attack patterns... that's it. As long as you're not 3 levels below a boss or an enemy, you'll get through it. Even if the difficulty is on GMGOW. My fitst playthrough was on No Mercy. 2nd was on GMGOW. I played a 3rd time on GMGOW and I constantly had to check if the difficulty was actually on GMGOW because I didn't remember it being that easy. Or you can just spam Runic Storm, Hilt of Hofud and Flame Whiplash... Also, even on GMGOW, once you unlock Muspelheim and if just build yourself up there until your level 7, the rest is a cake walk. Even the dual berserkers or the trio in alfheim will seem easy
My idea of "ultimate build" is to pick your poise, best pure damage is berzerker,the best tank builds are steinborn and the courage armor, for cooldown u got the 70% and the spiritual,and various pieces together for stun build or rage build, or any other gimmick or fun build.
They really got rid of it for a bunch of shields you most likely won't use, once we got the guardian shield back I only used one other for a boss fight and I didn't even need it

The first build showcased was the build I used for the whole game (kind of) I used the Sol's set from the time I got it until the end when I got the Fate Breaker set and just used it because I love the way it looked. For the prologue/post game, I've mixed them together like it was shown in the video
I'd love for Santa Monica to bring back 1 and add two new Greek Armors: Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon armors. Hades armor could be: Doing twice the melee damage when inflicted with any status by the enemies, Or Naturally decreases damage resistance, but also increases any type of Rage damage, healing, and stun. Poseidon Armor could be: Be 25% resistant to all enemy status Or Do twice the damage against enemies with the fire element
The vidar armor set is my personal favourite cause of the huge amount of damage you inflict on enemies, an updated version of that armor will be insane with new game plus, my strength stat was 642, hopefully i can get it close to a thousand with new game plus.
I have a better setup for the Sol's chest/Fatebreaker arms/waist build. I know not everybody has the Darkdale set because it was a digital deluxe set, but if you have it, using the Darkdale arms/waist with Sol's chest should give you more rage gains, at least that was the result I had after testing both setups. The Fatebreaker pieces will give you a flat 20% faster rage gain, the Darkdale pieces will give you 40% on runic attacks or status afflicted enemies, so as long as you're frequently using runic attacks and or applying frost/burn, you'll see huge gains in rage.
I love that armor,my first playthrough. i used that chest piece with darkdrale pieces, and then eventually, the fate breaker pieces with the courage chest piece the whole,probably my 2nd fav build. My health and rage stun build is my 3rd fav build. In GOW4 my fav was ares/game armor
Love your vids man. For new game plus, which I can't wait for!, I'm gonna rock a Steinborn, high defense + regen combo for insane base dmg and survivability in multiple contexts. Hope they add new challenges/armor sets. How sick would it be to be able to just call up Gna/other bosses in an expanded Mulspheim? :D
Forgot to add, they could have easily added the feature to fight previously defeated, bersekers, Gna, bosses, etc. by adding an area in Helheim with a sword just like in muspelheim and nifleheim. To make it lore-friendly. Honestly, once you 100% the game, the only thing you can do is just do the Crucible.
Whaou you must avec absolutely loved the game .. personally i find it boring ans useless to start a game all over again because my main focus is the Story .. you must have time in your hands to finish the story + the activities to get the 100% not once but 5 times !! 😅😜
They should’ve had a hidden armor or something like the one in 2018 did. Shattered Gauntlet of Ages. They should’ve had NG+ in the game a lot of new games will be out by then.
I love the chest piece (I think that’s the armor part) that has a 70% chance of restoring any special attack including talisman. It’s amazing with the sword talisman and with high luck it procs very regularly
@JorRaptor I can't seem to lvl up all my gear due to 0 crystals, there are at least 6 to 10 pieces of gear at lvl 8. I went through all of vanaheim and I think I collected every single one. How can I obtain more?
Anyone know if I start just new game (not plus) I can keep my gear or does it reset? Just wanna know for when plus comes out if I should just wait to keep level and gear. Thanks
I hope they give us more character Interactions , dialogue and content because it felt like we got a lot less compared to 2018 once you get passed the ending
@@coltensmith1897 I would hope that’s what they end up doing honestly. I think they wanted to make Ragnarok 50/50 playtime between Kratos and him. Ended up being 75/25 the director said. I hope they add what else they had planned for him. But don’t know if they’ll jus use those assets for his own game.
I can't get my platinum trophy due to the Raven keeper not spawning... No matter WHT I do the Raven keeper will not spawn.... I refuse to restart the whole game can anyone help me with this plz?
Still don't get why these companies release unfinished games. Dlc and added content are profe the game is still in development. I remember when games still came on disks they had to get the game right the first time. They didn't have a back door to remove their mistakes and add value to their unfinished product.
