It's unreal to me that there are people that call this a "movie" game with "no gameplay" when it's easily one of the most arcadey and fun AAA games ever made
Little tip you don’t need to reach level 10 on your weapons to use the transmog again you need to upgrade two times past level 9 so two upgrades before level 10
Same with armor. If you upgrade armor to ng+ versions, you will lose all transmog versions except the final version of it until you level it to ten. Not a big deal for armors with only one design, but a bit annoying if you like the low level versions of, say, the raven armor.
Fun fact: if u get a bunch of crystals from the crater and take them to the wishing well u can also get a bunch of slap slag. Idk how many I ended up taking but I’ve easily gotten over 2k from it
It's worth noting the dragon on dragon's beach ALSO drops the Jotunheim's Force enchantment if you didn't already have it from your first playthrough. It gives bonuses to all 6 stats, something I've only seen with this particular enchantment. There are a couple other enchantments that give bonuses to 4 stats, such as Asgard's Virtue, but I've seen no other enchantment give all 6 stats a bonus.
Personally I’m already on my second new game plus and already have millions of resources by just playing the game and doing all the side content and every single chest. I’d say just play and have fun you will get everything
Yep i didn’t have to go look for anything special. Just do as much side stuff as possible and you’ll naturally get everything you need. Was level 10 on all weapons, handles and armor a good portion before the last missions
It has never hurt so much to get a platinum trophy…once I saw that plat pop up I realized I didn’t have new stuff to experience in the game and it REALLY bummed me out. I was especially sad since I had finished the callisto protocol which didn’t have NG+ either… I did replay Callisto twice in NG+, loved it. So with this game getting it I’m super happy. Can’t wait to get off work tomorrow so I can dump a crap ton of time again! I really want to use the abilities we get from defeating Gna on those early parts!
How to quickly get all weapons to lvl 10: In the Alva boss fight in althfeim as soon as you kill them get the material, if you don’t get it before it saves, you can’t do it, once you get it before the game saves go into the pause menu and reset to the last checkpoint, do this 12 times, then once your back at a shop you can upgrade all of the weapons to lvl 10
You can have all your weapons on lvl 10 by the time you reach the norns if you’re going for all the side missions. Edit- if you get all the crystals in vanaheim an drop them in the pond youll get abussurd amounts of skapslag and smoldering/ blazing embers
yeah, I had so much resources and money that I just sat there for like 45 minutes just upgrading everything to Max after I beat the game in NG+. Now, I am almost ready to restart on GMGOW after I get the final piece of the Zeus Armor Set. Tip for Skap Slag: Just explore the Realms, especially Vanaheim, get those crystals and throw them in the well and you get bunch of Skap Slag. After I beat the game, I had around 10K of Skap Slag. Also, you can just craft Skap Slag for money after you beat the game and pretty much every other resource
Once you free the dragon, you can make him crash into the mountain and essentially kill him. If you go on the opposite side of the lake in the area leading to one of the furnaces and hang onto the long chain rope, he’ll come flying in for an attack and disintegrate. You’re welcome 👍
Yeah I love that they did that, but they did it on some of the least good looking armors possible lol. Green and purple really? Add it to the normal brown and red stitched survival armor as seen on the game cover.
@@nighthowell yeah and I find it soooo annoying that there is no waist armors with full black pants like the bear one I hate the red strips when trying to rock certain colors all black looks so clean
Not sure if the most recent update changed it but you do not need to fully upgrade your weapon to lvl 10 to transmog it. I upgraded it to 9+ and was still able to transmog it.
what i find so sad is the new game + that you can't play with atreus in spartan rage bear mode only in asgard they should do an update that you can choose rage like kratos
Quick tip for everyone who’s reading this as someone who quickly got everything maxed out on ng+ You won’t have enough Gilded coins for EVERYTHING. You can get nearly all the talismans, but after getting coins from any piece of equipment you got. You’ll be missing 5 for the last one. So try not to save a rune you want for last or second. Just get the most appealing ones so the last one won’t make you regret getting something which further increases damage against enemies on fire or cold when you could’ve gotten runic stacking damage.
I got enough coins for everything though? Had exactly the right amount after upgrading every single piece of gear (except for shields, which do not reward coins). However, I believe I was even rewarded coins for the Darkdale and Risen Snow gear. If I had to make an assumption, you don’t have the Darkdale gear and that’s were the 5 missing coins come from?
@@That1CrappyGuy noh if you have the dark dale you are still missing 2 gilded coins so i am guessing that they should add new armor in the next update
You mentioned in one of your videos, when you open the chest next to the forge for the first time you get items you didn’t collect on the first play through. Do you know what items I won’t be able to collect and need to get before starting new game plus?
Sorry to bug you , but I am a new gamer and I am playing God of war (r) and I was just wondering if you know what I can find the upgrades for the blades. I have look all over this map ,and the only weapon I was able to up grade was the axe .
I’ve reached level 10 have over a million hacksilver and a lot of skap slag and now I’m going to finish all the side quests and the beautiful story and then fight King Hrolf Kraki on level 1 Spartan challenge and make a video of it
There’s is a new buff when you use the new enchantments from the beseker bosses it’s a better version of the nine realms buff and it activates when you use rage with any different type of rage it also gives 4 second of realm shift
I beat it on hard mode when I played it the first time. On new game plus does it add extra enemies? May be extra animations for those enemies? Or is it strictly loot and enemy health and damage changes? May be better AI from enemies. I kind of wish I didn’t read it on hard mode the first time. I don’t wanna fight on God of war for the second time. I’m really hoping it’s almost a new game with extra enemies during each encounter. Because, again, I’ve already beaten it on hard mode. So I’d like the same challenge that’s a little bit more variety. Like maybe one boss now has a minion where he didn’t before.
Question: I ended up not doing all the tough boss fights on my first play through (the only one I did was the Valkyrie Queen). Did I screw myself into harder boss fights in New Game+ like how in the 2018 the Valkyries all got stronger in New Game+ or since it will be technically my first time fighting/beating them, will they still be on the level they were in the initial playthrough?
@@darthnox125 what does killing them at their first strength change in ng+ though? I havent played the earlier games ng+ modes so i dont get why it matters
@Tucker Sebastian so you can get the berserker set with them being at their original strength. If you fight them in ng+ it will be harder and will only give you the berserker set, it won't give you the ng+ reward for besting them.
So if I do another New Game plus playthrough will I need to "fully Upgrade" my weapons and armor again? Like get all the primal flames again for the weapons?
Is it me or is GOW Ragnarok gmgw easy. It was a lot harder on GOW 2018. Completed GOW Ragnarok on new game+ so easy now. Also you can buy all the upgradable material towards the mid to end game.
It's just you. I played through 2018 several times but my first run of ng+ on 2018 I was easily playing on gmnm and I was doing great. Gmgow was a harder challenge which played on the 3rd playthrough. On Ragnarok, I've beaten the story on my second playthrough and there's been most times facing normal enemies where they just have so much fucking health. It's line they go on forever. I've faced them and bosses in which I had to check from time to time to make sure it was still on normal difficulty. The health and defense of enemies is a killer in this game.
This game's open world, combat and story directing and voice acting is way better than FF16 which I currently play. Planning to play Ragnarok again NG+.
I love God of war , I finished the game story and beated King so I dont feel excited for NG+ , they should bring new enemies and places for discover, Right?
NG+ us incredibly harder than the original game. Berserkers are way too difficult now. It was a mistake that I started NG+ hoping it would be similar to 2018 game

Do certain runic attacks not carry over bc I have all runic attacks unlocked in my first play through but in new game plus some are missing like leviathans roar for example

Absolutely, because it helps narrow down if your tryna platinum... I made a mistake and now I'm starting fresh on a regular run (now my third) to get collector trophy. So annoying 😑
No, you don't need to. I have everything on level 10. Armor, Weapons, Shields, Attachments for the things I wrote and I'm still on my first NG+ Playthrough
No. I’ve 100% NG+ and I’m 4 coins short of being able to buy the last enchantment. Although there are some items that are glitched and won’t let me upgrade them last level 9 so there might be a way to get more coins once those are fixed.
There was one blades pommel that I wasn’t able to upgrade to the new levels, but even without it I had exactly enough coins after upgrading every piece of gear besides shields

I need help: I am power level 175, but can’t beat a recommended lvl 90. I cannot do it. Name is Eorforwine. I’ve tried at least 10 times, and I watched a video and the guy said you have to be fast and dodge. But when I keep dodging, the bitch literally keeps going back to full health. IF THERE IS A 1 ATTACK ON ZEALOTS, And it KO THEM, I would love to know how.
I'll be honest I never really liked NG+. I don't mind starting new getting everything as you're supposed to. Always feel New Game Plus is Kind of cop out for content without really any new meaningful content on Every game. Yes its nice option to have an do try it.. But I never go long in a NG+ before I just start over. I like working everything from scratch..
