Yup What's crazy is that his only purpose in the first round was to just see kratos losing it and acting like his past self. As if it's only a warm up for Thor I haven't played the game yet but I sure hope the final battle is where they both go all out

The funny thing is, with how things were set up in 4,we all were led to believe that Thor and Odin and the rest of the Aesir wud be very linear and selfish and warmongering, power hungry sobs. But in this game they are not only that but a lotta other personality tweaks too. We wud have sworn that Thor showing up wud mean an instant battle for the ages, but not only was it that and more, in that we get to fight him twice, but also the fights don't at all build up or end as expected. I wud have never thought that the Aesir top dogs themselves wud cordially come and negotiate a deal, that too for peace, which we all thought they can't breath in. And seeing how controlled, calm and logical Kratos is, I thought he wud definitely say Yes to agree, but he himself in their faces turns down the diplomacy. Uncharacteristic from both sides, and I love this game all the more for it.

I think it’s good he didnt rage out, his development has been solely based on his ability to not be angry and impulsive and being a positive model for atreus, having him snap wouldve undo all that development, Thor lost because he let his emotions overwhelm him in the heat of battle while kratos stayed focus and clear minded

Baldur! Everyone knows what Thor is about, so I kinda expected more thunder bolts etc. tbh. But Baldur's vigor and resilience, due to his inability to feel pain, was unexpected. Especially considering his small frame. But I assume this was just a warm up and Thor will step it up a level when he and Kratos face off again.

Personally I think it's great. I expected someone bulkier, bigger too since he's the "All Father". But getting our expectations subverted with Odin seemingly looking like a frail old man works just as well too. Don't let his looks deceive you, we have not seen the full extent of his physical and magical powers yet in this part of the story

God of War 2018 technically is God of War 4 but since its set in a diff mythology, they didnt put the number in it. Sort of a soft reboot and continuation at the same time. U should play the story before saying the combat is wack. And this is God of War Ragnarok but at this point, Ragnarok hasnt arrived yet. Its in the absolute beginning parts of the game. I got 11 hours into it and Im about 8% of the way through. Its a great story, on top of the various diff improvements.
