@@drointhewind480 there is a relic called the mystical heirloom, I forgot where I found it but it wakes up sleeping statues which are actually trolls from the 2018 game that were imprisoned indefinitely. With this relic you can awaken the trolls and kill them for their loot. If you found the relic already once you approach one of the troll statues mimir will mention the troll and say something about finding an item that could wake it. There’s supposed to be multiple trolls but I’ve only found 1 so far.
@@nosreme6969 The mystical heirloom is found in Midgard in the bottom of tyrs temple and you will need to go to Midgard , Alfheim , Vanaheim to kill 4 trolls and unlock the Steinbjorn armor set.
I did side quest as I was in the different realms, made the story more intriguing as the different conversations throughout and let's you learn about the characters. Can't wait for new game plus
I really can't wait for new game plus either. I also did everything I could as I played through the story with new realms unlocking so I had almost nothing left to do after finishing the story. I highly recommend everyone play the game by doing everything as you unlock new areas because you hear so much lore and character backstories. I would've hated to have miss all of that stuff. It added so much to the game for me.
I did all of this before the story ended. Depends on when you want to do it. I have severe ocd so I'll just try and do things before I finish the story
The crater was available to me before I finished the main story quest. So it’s available in the full game from the start not having to go past the end of the game.
You unlock the favor that takes you there after a later story mission so it's not available from the start in the same way that Vanaheim is not available at the start. But it's also not end game either. I had it completely finished a while before I started the last story mission.

Fact Bro. I've been falling asleep playing this mf then my system goes in rest mode then I go back to where I've started when I wake up. I've ignored everybody and everything. lol I'm still not done. This game is actually massive. I'm taking my time with it trying to accomplish everything on my own. I've even denied my accomplices upgrades. I only got stuck with Crimson Dread. It glitched out but I got around it.
Uhh I'm gonna say the last berserker is on par with sigrun combat wise, but difficulty wise definitely above sigrun. He obliterates your health bar in three hits on normal, less if you get hit with bifrost. Oh did I forget to mention that he can raise his power level mid fight, yeah that's fun.
@@cmdrlightwalker_9877 if your having problems try using the poison wyvern set I what I call it it’s Lundas chest piece dragon waist and bracers with stone wall shield Ron’s of regeneration and banahogg hilt and I think empress hilt with all the vanaheim and swartwalfiem enchants
I've completed the crater area and I haven't completed the main story yet. I'm 57 hours deep, at te point where you're asked is there anything that you want to go back and do before you proceed. Which means after this point in the story, you will not be able to go anywhere else, so go do whatever you put off-now. I'm hunting berserkers & closing rifs. Great vid. Gives me alot to look forward to.
I think they ask you if you want to do anything you've put off a bunch of times throughout the game, making it sound like you'll be unable to go back for a long time but that's not really the case. It's mentioned all the way back when you get the mission to go to Alfheim I think. They say you'll be going on a long mission in Alfheim and ask if you want to go back to Svartalfheim. Such an incredible game! Tied with Ghost of Tsushima for my favorite game of all time! And I've played tons of video games over the last 33 years. I'm still amazed by the end of the story and I finished it days ago. lol
I’m honestly disappointed that we can’t switch back to Atreus in the end game. I feel like they should’ve made it where you could pick between Atreus or Kratos and then choose between brok, sindri, freya, and angroboda as supports
@@shifugamez.official Freya was the only character that ever really counted as a companion outside of Atreus. The Dwarves and Angraboda were never meant to be anything other than plot companions. I still would have liked to have the option though.
This is just me but a lot of people struggle with bosses in GMGOW when they have barely explored, I explored most my play through and it made it much more fun and rewarding during fights, like most people don’t even get most in Dunn apples and tusks in the game or get better armors or even get any runic attacks or do any fun mini bosses I think ppl should really explore instead of running through the story fast
I was playing on GMGOW and when I got to the creator section I completed that first then I continued with the story and with that section done the story was pretty light

Yeah when they mentioned going back for the seeds they went over it very quickly. I went back to Sindri's for them almost immediately but almost didn't think to go to Jötunheim. Not much to it but the conversation with Angrboda was cool.
It was excited for that but ended up slightly disappointed considering all the new places you unlock are comically small and everything in it is still locked off. You can go to jotenheim buts there’s literally nothing more than what’s shown in vid, a single small room
It would make sense after a while Kratos get worried about why no contact of atreus has been made for a while decides to travel again ending up in egypt universe like in the comics again to see if what may have happened also the worlf is alot more sand so i expect instead of just a boat where we have to face Hippos crocodiles and nile gods we can have wings and pretty much fly ourselves thru the vast desserts which will lead to returning to the Greek World that now been rebuilt but now under the influence of the Romans with the help of athena a new more military minded reborn Ares now Mars all the Gods are back but in the roman interpretations and they want to get back on Kratos which will mark his End yet lets Atreus Survive which leads him moving back to the Norse universe but later move on finiding himself in the British Islands and Ireland for the Celts
Except Valkyrie queen and finding Tyr, everything else you can do before invading askard , those berserkers + berserker king you dont need to be max out to do. You just need to try them many times and learn the fight pattern. My opinion is those Valkyries + valkiyrie queen in 2018 god of war was way better than those berserkers. Because their fighting gimmick is evade+warp+fly+teleport+do aoe damage ( poison/lightinging/ice) + do some long distance spells/attacks and do few close combat attacks. Most of the time you fighting more your camera angle than berserker you are facing and the moust annoying attack of all is when they warp out of the screen and land right on you.
I pretty much had this 100% by the time I finished it. When I did finish the story, I had maybe 5 hours left of gameplay. 60 hours total my first playthrough. I'm working on 2018 (Playing it on ps5 in 1440p @ 60 from a ps4 in 1080p @ 30 is an insane difference) hopefully we get NG + soon for Ragnarok. I'm healing from a broken leg and have plenty of time to gain a few pounds and get lost in some games.
Lol I got it on ps4 a few days ago. 20 hours to finish it and going to attempt the platinum. Learned my lesson from my series x and don’t get a huge backlog of games to go thru. Series x backlog is 150 plus. Ps4 is 15. Think I’ll knock out ps4 first

Not the people , do what you wnat, by now it is time to unite and be progressive as a species but also as people/persons , but this didn’t ruin the experience gor me , back then you get 35 hours of story gane play in tge first try , for60€ , i need to mention that (although bot so much, vut avout 2-3% of gameplay time) i just looked at ghe world or searches for artifacts , reading the thoroughly, walking past mentioned sites , imagining mentioned events , you really get tge feel of real life , that there was a past , ghibgs happened here and the things now are a direct consequence of saif thing , but also „unimportant“ completely missiibld storys, partly created by letters and a corpse , if you are thorough, sometimes you relaite you walked ghe path , someone walked before you , but theof story came to an end and you can find out why , it humanizes , a fIng corose , it is beautiful Hust try it i don’t want to spoil more One last note: i showed to my brother and after 5 min. He said: not only can he observe my smile and enjoyment playing it bug he immediately understood why, from the plabts , to physics but he also git fascinatet by the derailed humanization , the many side story who organiccaly paint a picture of REALITY . You really get a feeling thag like in real life other live too , ghey have a mind like you abd thibgs hapoebed w/o you being there :) Have fun :) Ps: i lkayed ig 5x ghe fastest wast about 22 hours(no matter the run i still sometimes just Observe:D so after nearly 1 1/2 yesrs not playing , after writing this i instantly want to and im going to olay NOW !! I love this game, I actually have only a few games that I like. I am actually horrible at this game. I play on the easiest setting and I still have a hard time beating most of the bosses. I'm almost complete though. I just can't beat 3 of the berserkers, the muspelheim challenges and of course Gna. But I really do love this game, it's the only reason I have a gaming console. I'm glad I didn't have to buy a ps5 just to play this game...
The game is so fucking massive! I've been only in Vanahiem for the last 3-4 days playing for about 5 hours at a time and I'm not even close to completing the realm. It's fucking huge!
Yeah I hate that it's over. I have to beat the Berserker king and get 1 lore in Alfheim, 2 artifacts & a legendary chest in Vanaheim then I'll have my platinum. But I want to play it all over again. Not sure what to do while waiting for ng+. I miss everybody. lol I've already played the entire story and most exploration and side activities in God of War 2018 at least 4 times. Had never played it until I got my PS5. I never had any interest in God of War games and now God of War Ragnarok is tied with Ghost of Tsushima for my #1 favorite game of all time!
You want good gear and summons for freya, beat all 12 berserkers than defeat GNA the new Valkyrie queen after that you’ll be motivated to platinum the game!
If you've done all the side quests up to reaching the crater, you can easily make the dragon armor immediately. That crystal pond is super busted for when you can access it.
@Bloofa I did the troll statues way before the end of the game because I saw the Steinbjorn armor in a video and had to have that chest armor. I think I used it for most of the game. It's so good combined with one of the Nidavellir pieces and one of the raven tree pieces.
I had literally everything done by the time i finished the main story, gna and the berserker king were the most difficult out of all the bosses, the only thing i had to do after the main story was get 2 nornir chests, 2 legendary chests in the forbidden sands and now i have 100% game completion and i got the platinum trophy 🏆😁 getting platinum on god of war ragnarok was alot easier than god of war 2018, i just have the valkyrie queen to get platinum
I beat the whole game on no mercy and I got everything in the game and I’m OP asf don’t feel like doing it again tho…I’m done!!! Every side quest and every upgrade done!!!! I had fun playing it for 5 days!!! The Valkyrie queen* Easy and the Berserker King EASY!!!
God of war ragnarok has post game issues. I literally got the platinum trophy and did everything the game had to offer and I have the highest dmg output build in the game right now and stuff too. But in the previous title the game had 3 options for post game 1. Nefilhim fog looting area 2. Muspilhiem challenges and 3. New Game plus. In this one you just have Muspilhiem challenges which is even more improved version and way better than the previous one, but I wish there was more to do, doing only Muspilhiem challenges gets super boring overtime. If you guys do everything like I did there would only be Muspilhiem challenges for the end game content so take your time and progress slowly. This game is probably one of my favorites and I hope they add more to it🙏
OK that's a choice you made though. I made thw choice to finish story first, then have stuff to do afterwards. Depends on the person. But also see no issue since it's left up to choice.

I keep seeing these videos. Amd it doesn't make sense because while running around following the story you could be doing all these side quests and upgrading your gear like I did.

I agree. Would be nice to replay berserkers & Gna through the sword in the Crucible. Also, all enemies seem to be absent through the world and I need more beast bones to upgrade bow enhancements. End game really came to a screeching halt for me.
I had the remnants of Asgard glitched, there’s a camp that I can’t finish, the last enemy killed me right before frya killed him and I didn’t get any XP or rewards for finishing it and when I got to the camp there’s no enemies yet it’s still on the map
Jotunheim is an absolute joke area. It takes all of 2 minutes to explore in the end game. A few rebuilding the realms quests would of been nice. End game is pretty small. The King and Queen fights were alright. Sigrun is still the best boss.
